This guy nails it. The first person to mention (out of dozens of reviews I watched) there is a difference in scale length between the dread and parlor 25.5 vs 24.75 also confirmed on Fender website. An acoustic amp will get you a lot closer to an acoustic sound than an electric amp. Most acoustic amps have tweeters.
Didn't like the Acoustasonic... but I played the Highwayman Series at a GC recently and they are good. Way louder unplugged than I expected
They sound amazing
Yes ...but it's only the plugged in sound that sounds good....unplugged it's a different story.
if it sound anything like the acoustisonics plugged in in person , then it is super thin in person
The Dreadnaught and the Parlor have the same scale length in the Specifications in the links.
No they don't.
Good to know they've read my comment and sorted it@@williambetts8226
The Parlor Body is a lot smaller
To be honest I am interested in this. If it is as fun as my Acoustasonic Tele I am down
The problem with these kind of guitars is that they really are an exercise in style and coolness over all round function....unplugged the sound is as thin as that body..!!.
They are fine for use on stage because of reduced feedback and great plugged in sound but for anyone thinking of buying one for low volume home use I say think again.
You would be far better buying a nice quality electro acoustic....something that sounded great unplugged anyway...then add a decent amp plus a few effects to enhance your tone and sound even further and that should equal money well spent.......has for me anyway..:-).
In a nut shell with the Fender at low volumes plugged in at home you'll always hear that poor basic guitar sound mixed with the amp ....something to be avoided.
Another Fender Gimmick awful bit of kit
I think I understand how guitar UA-cam works, and I respect the hustle ... to an extend. So when a new product gets launched by one of the biggest (maybe the biggest?) guitar companies in the world, it's not surprising to see it pop up on all these channels. But I have a dream in which some sort of truth serum gets released all over the world, and every single guitar talker, tester and chatter has no choice but to admit that these duds are a shameless money grab, and sound like something that rhymes with grab. My constant lament is that nobody seems to remember what an acoustic guitar sounds like, or that we now have technology that gets us much closer to amplifying that sound. We don't have to rely on piezos and magnetic PUs any longer, both of which rob the sound of all its air and beauty. The sooner you guys stop peddling this garbage, the sooner it'll go away. OH, what am I talking about? This will NEVER disappear. Shitty "acoustic" sound is the new normal.
