Wider turns = less intensity on the hips. Especially since track athletes tend to run first lane over and over again. Running backwards on outside lanes help balance it out.
How do you get used to running tempos/threshold miles after pumping the legs with lactate. I struggle with this and can’t run the same pace as the mile we do before the lactic stuff
honestly I think that this is just training! but you will always be working harder on the mile after, if you are trying to do the exact same effort then you should be going a little slower!
3-4 solid meals usually (lots of snacks if I only have 3)! then for the workout specifically I will try to take 2x25g carb gels and a drink mix with 80g carb
honestly I'm not sure on the answer to the first one, I imagine they are quite similar for some people but less for others? hard reps were in-between 5km and 10km pace!
Good stuff just wanna let you know that Jesus loves you and care for you. He died on the cross for our sins and gave me a hope joy and purpose and I want you to experience that praying for you and your loved ones health and wellbeing and for a successful track season
This is like a rebuttal to the letsrun thread about klecker’s workout where, I confess, I was in the hater camp. Cool editing btw
Pan pipe intro goes hard
It really does
GREAT VIDEO MORGAN GOOD LUCK IN HOUSTON WE ARE ALL ROOTING FOR YOU
I am going to race Morgan McDonalds at Houston Half and beat him this time
lol cool story bro
Awesome video! Love the commentary
I’ve run that road in the end (Frontage) many times and it is quietly a cruiser; you can get a lot of momentum on it.
New bucket list item: become fit enough to run with Joe Klecker
Love your content! Would you train hills even if your target race course is flat/ downhill?
yes definately!!!
Why do you guys often run in the outer lanes?
is the hard mile at interval pace? what’s the guideline on the pace of that rep
Hey Morgan how steep is the hill you use for your hill reps? Sick video!
about 3-4% I think
Where’s the hill?
Good luck in Houston brother. Houston is a fast race
thank you :)
Good shit
why were you running on the outside lane?
Wider turns = less intensity on the hips. Especially since track athletes tend to run first lane over and over again. Running backwards on outside lanes help balance it out.
@@johnnybonnyyaah that makes sense, thank you very much

@ thank you 🙏!
How do you fuel in a day?
3-4 solid meals usually (lots of snacks if I only have 3)! then for the workout specifically I will try to take 2x25g carb gels and a drink mix with 80g carb
@ Thanks, any go to meals and desserts if you have them?
how do threshold and half-marathon paces compare? and how hard are the hard reps? a bit off 5k?
honestly I'm not sure on the answer to the first one, I imagine they are quite similar for some people but less for others? hard reps were in-between 5km and 10km pace!
How many laps around the track for a mile on the outside lane?
a bit over 3 1/2!
Good luck . Will you move up to the Mara one day ?
hopefully!
Is the intro music “Deep Forrest”?
I love your content but have a minor gripe/question. Is there a reason you don't do some minor color corrections?
My bet is it’s because he’s a elite runner not an elite videographer. 😀🏃♂️🏃♂️
he's busy in the coop
First
Wow, sick brother

@ keep it up great stuff. Turn to him he just wants a relationship. ❤️
Running interval sessions are ridiculous haha , just send a 3 x 20 threshold and be done with it like cyclists.
try that and see how it goes
