    I think you should always have some kind of good matt at beginning of sluice bed were material first travels after dropping thru because running large amounts like ya do of some rough stuff couple pieces like that can just be getting knocked down and out from, like you said the smoothness, and a mat stops that even 8" of mat would be enough I think great test great vid😎👍🇺🇸💯

      Do you mean like a mat going over the top that would push the material down. Thanks. I think you see them on the bigger high banker

    The trick with this drop riffle sluice is to classify first, test the pitch and water control until it doesn't lose gold. Make sure the water hits the first two riffles evenly. Once you have your marks, you're set. It took me a bit, but my geo sluice is dialed in and catches incredibly fine gold dust, no loss. This sluice is can process a fair amount of material and by far excels past it's competitors when it comes time for clean up. The clean up is so fast, it's hard to argue how much material this mini high banker can actually move in comparison to a bigger, more traditional high banker. This sluice renders mats useless if the material is right for it. Hang in there! Best of luck.

    Awesome video my brother!!! Well at least you know if you have a tub behind the sluice, a bucket catching your tailings and the sluice catching the rest. You will get all your shiny at some point.🤔🤔🤣🤣Looking forward to the next Vendetta Video!!!👍👍 #VendettaProspectingIsTopNotch💯💯

    Looking really good, I'm in the need of another recirculating sluice. One of mine has gone missing..Great to see you with the little ones, by the time they get old enough to drive they will definitely have prospecting and panning down. Not to bad recovery, looking forward to more results.

    The Geo sluice and Geo high banker are two really good machines. Especially in a wet desert situation. Good test Mike. I may get in touch with Geo sluice to see just how expensive they are. That material almost looked like beach sand. Good outcome, thanks for sharing.😎😎⛏⛏🔥🔥

    I’m not familiar with the geo sluice. The top two riffles seemed pretty clean almost like the water needs to be relaxed a bit after it drops down from the grizzly. Again maybe those rifles on the top clean out by design. Cool video nevertheless

    Great test Mike👍Like we were discussing that's a really good recovery rate but room for improvement! Like you said the missed gold was flat so possibly floated off, some natural gold (but looked like what you added), reduce the sluice angle and water flow even more. Still a very good recovery, great test brother👍✨️

    good video, this made me sub because the surprise was honesty. And now that were being honest we can adress it and discuss dialing it in more.. here is exclusivly flour flood gold, and it blows out so easy. I'm going to do some experimenting in the 5 to 6.5degrees angles to see in it can retain better and still clean out lights. thanks for sharing.cheers.

  • @rockbutcher
    @rockbutcher Рік тому +2

    99% recovery with a sluice is an excellent result Mike. You might be able to dial it in a bit tighter but is it worth your time because every site you visit will have different gravel mixtures. I've been thinking about buying a small sluice. I've been looking at some of the Gold Hog products, but now that I've watched both you and Doug do very well with a simpler and lighter system which costs about the same, I may buy a Geosluice instead.

  • @48thstateprospecting
    @48thstateprospecting Рік тому +3

    I figured the geo would lose gold since it’s plastic and smooth in smooth out on the riffles this confirms my suspicions…. There are a few things you could to to fix it besides adjusting the angles and water flow the first being run non gold bearing material first to “prime” the riffles if your still losing gold after that silicone the bottom and front side of the riffles or add a strip of silicone mat in the bottom 😬 looking forward to more tests for sure thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼

    • @VendettaProspecting
      @VendettaProspecting  Рік тому

      48th Brother man, so the plastic is actually got a texture on it. its kinda hard to explain but its like a super fine grain (mossy) type texture. very very low lile 0.001-0.002" thick on it to help grab the gold. ive thought about adhering some matting at the very top as an indicator mat. not sure i really care to to that tho. overall it got the gold that was in the dirt. im deff going to put more testing on this bad boy!

    • @48thstateprospecting

      @@VendettaProspecting oh ok. I have some super thin roofing material rubberish that’s a1/16th inch or less thick it has texture on top for grip when walking if you want to try any of it in any sluices it makes great indicator mat

    But thats not losing much of your test amount really. Of course you dont want to lose any, but is there any sytem that will get 100% of the gold you process through it? 95% of what you ran you got, I'd say thats pretty good.

    • @VendettaProspecting
      @VendettaProspecting  5 місяців тому +1

      It’s not that it’s bad, I’ve done more than 10 equipment tests very similar to this and this just has one of the highest loss rates of them all, it works, just needs improvements, I’d start with a mat glued in the top.
