- First big upload of 2017! Just thought about doing this and went ahead and did it. With a performance over 10% faster than any other character, it's obvious why Neil, Ella, and Custom Clubs are disallowed for formal speedruns. It's not even like with the characters from MGGBC, where the characters have to make compromises with their stats even at Level 99 to be playable and faster than Metal Mario.
Neil and Ella at Level 99 are grossly overpowered and user-friendly, and even more so with Clubs that can increase the power further still. It is my determination that Super POW clubs are the best overall. No Par 4 is safe. Even Par 3s can be tackled with smart punch shots relatively effectively.

Not gonna lie. I remember one of my favorite things about MGAT was using Neil and Ella to terrorize this game. lol

My strategy to win tournaments in Mario Golf Advance Tour is just leveling up both Neil and Ella's drive. I just have POW clubs.
I like the Super Pow Clubs because they're red, and red's my favourite colour. They remind me of that crazy putter I use for real golf!

Could you imagine if this were a real-life golf game? I imagine the commentators would be beside themselves at some of your decisions... "He's got a drive of nearly 500 yards, probably the longest I've ever seen, and despite a massive hook, he's still able to control it surprisingly well...Well, look at this! Neil's opting to just give up on this hole, his second in a row, and yet he still wins the game with a score of 3 over! He WAS 21 under at one point! It's like the golf equivalent of a "homie stock" in Smash Bros.!"
I like how some of the names on the scorecards are of characters who can't even play golf. For example, in Blooper Bay, one of your opponents is "Phantamanta", the shadow manta ray from Super Mario Sunshine. xD

What type of special clubs are you using for this dry run, im guessing lo-risk
Super POW Clubs. The extra 20% power buff is incredible, and I only have to deal with a slightly higher and stronger draw.
Well, if he is lvl 99 it shouldn't really matter cause he could have MAX stats

8-bit Max he's using the Super Pow clubs. You can tell because of the colour. Super Pow Clubs are red, Risky Clubs are bright orange

MetalYoshi ProGamer I get fast a lot, but I feel that it is risky because of the scores the CPUs could have in the harder tournaments.

I utterly crushed non star ace shadow Mario with hole in one albatross in peach’s hole 13 then he decided to choke on the 8th at the freaking rock they seem to just keep getting stuck in there and wasting strokes just aiming at the wall especially badlands 8 they choke horribly in that hole 😂
How do you get +8 on a give up instead of a +10?
Jasmine Johnston It's triple Par, so whatever Par the hole is, you're marked for three times the number of strokes. For a Par 4, this is a score of 12, which is 8 over Par.

Was all that necessary?
I treated this playthrough like a speedrun with the sole goal to win the six Tournaments. The cutoff scores are generous, so I can afford to take triple-par penalties to skip holes that I cannot reach in one shot or are too time consuming to set up a shot.
