Personally I'm a big fan of high-waisted pants in general, including wide pants, but that comes down to my own body type. I have a long torso, and I like how a high waist elongates my legs. But of course that's what tip #5 is for! 😄

It’s a South Korean domestic brand called OURPAS(id: 020) and its probably impossible for a foreigner to get cuz their sales are kinda irregular, and their hyped items are sold out so fast we koreans can’t get them either :(
Definitely food for thought. I’ve been getting all my pants cropped and it feels off sometimes if it’s too wide. I appreciate the Japanese aesthetic, but I shouldn’t always make myself look like a bottle of Kewpie Mayo.
Nice vid!! Defo would add choosing the write shoes(sneakers, boots, etc.) cuz I find a lot of people uncomfortable with wide pants without changing their shoes for the straight normal fit pants. Huge Chunky shoes or either going way unbalanced with skinny loafers(like Japanese style-don’t prefer it tho) sticks well with wide pants.
Maybe they wear their pants way up high cuz that make them look taller ? I mean high-waisted pants do make your legs seem longer but it won't necessarily make you apear shorter if you wear pants with different fits. So for sure wear whatever you like, there's no need to dress for height .I'm also a short guy enjoy wearing oversized clothes.
I’m 5’11, and I usually rock my trousers and denim high waisted, but only for the sake of the pants flowing over my shoes. Depending on the silhouette and if the shoe is a high top cut like combat boots, jordans, converse, etc. will usually determine how much I raise my pants. Basically, I’m not a fan of my pants stacking, so I try to keep the stacking at a minimal lol
The idea of combining formal and chic style with something rough and vintage/workwear-like kinda intrigues me though 🤔 however, I have no idea how to do it 😅
