I'm just starting out and have been looking for clear, concise answers to my questions! The answers in this vid being one of them! I can not thank you enough for your simple easy to follow explanations throughout this vid! It's been awesome to watch! It seems every time I ask a question to certain groups that I belong to, more times than not, I get some convoluted answer, having nothing to do with the question at hand! Thanks again for this very important video!
Thanks for taking a moment to leave me your input and feedback, I appreciate it! I hope you continue to find value in the videos.

Thank you for this detailed, concise explanation!! It is SO frustrating navigating Amazon to find the answers yourself. This video is better than Amazon. I'm at the process of sending shipment details to my supplier and I was wondering about the FNSKU to go on the label. I didn't know there was a requirement for both the UPC and FNSKU on the product as well as shipment label. Thank you so much for this video.
You’re welcome! I’m glad you found it helpful! Only the FNSKU or UPC can be on the unit. Not both. Here’s an updated video on this: ua-cam.com/video/tdJqj7tEjdM/v-deo.html

@@CrescentKao one question Crescent. When printing, do I need to adjust the size of this label to 1x2 inches or can I make this label to a readable size?

SUCH GREAT CONTENT! Thank you Crescent! YOU ARE AMAZING!
One question. If "made in china" is on the box packaging already, does it still need to go on the UPC as well?
I'm glad you find value in the content! The country of origin just needs to be on each unit in one spot.
@@CrescentKao So in one spot on the box with many items, or in one spot on each item in the box. Unclear explanation.

Thank you so much for this video, it was clear and concise and I was able to follow your instructions to the T. The only thing I’m concerned about is whether or not I should edit the ingredients on the label as it is a topical item. I needed the ingredients for un gating but I’m not sure if all my product need that. Please help 😩
You're welcome. I'm glad you found it helpful. I'm not familiar with these types of products and the legality of disclosing the ingredients. I would consult a professional.
Your videos are very informative and, at times, are even clearer than the videos from the course I am taking. Thanks so much

Great Job.

Thanks again. This is a helpful video, the only videos I click like on are the actual 'instructional' videos because youtube is saturated with the blah blah blah amazon ideas videos. Thank god for Crescent as many of his videos are instructional. I like the 'Why' videos also. They are important too because we need to know why we should be doing these things, like he said in another video worth watching that its also about 'why', not just 'how'
Thank you for your input and feedback, I appreciate it! I'm happy to hear that you find the videos helpful. This might help you as well with barcodes: ua-cam.com/video/eyMI-IJT160/v-deo.html
Thank you so so much for this info , I have a question I have created my listing already FBM can I get a UPC label ? I forgot to printed before I switch from FBA to FBA
You’re welcome! If you’re switching from FBM to FBA, you can choose the Print Item Labels option in the drop down menu as shown in the video or the option is also there when you create your shipping plan: ua-cam.com/video/meB4xYEI8Z0/v-deo.html
thanks a lot Kao!
You're welcome!
Thank you for this vid 🙏🏼. Just one question can you change the writing under fnsku as well , because my doesn’t look very good ? 😬😬😬
Glad you found value in it! Yes you can, as long as the barcode is scannable and unaltered. However, I personally wouldn't change it.
Can you leave a link on how to list a product on amazon fba for 2020? The tutorials I see have a very different screen than me. The upc section is different as well as the category. I am purchasing a product from China and using their label and packaging and want to sell on amazon. Not sure if it will be called private label since it's their label and not mine. Can I do that?
Thank you very much. Would you have a video that talks about what those buttons mean? like: copy listing, add another condition, match low price, create removal order and close listing. Perhaps they are explained in seller central once I join? thanks again.
You're welcome. I don't have anything specific. Match low price will set your price to the lowest price of a seller that is selling the same product on your listing (a hijacker). Create removal order allows you to pull units from your inventory and send them to yourself or elsewhere. Close listing is just that, close the listing.
great work
Glad you found it helpful!
hi, thank you for all your soooo informative videos, they are a great help for beginners as I am. I have a question: what about the UPS barcode? So if I understand it well: first I buy UPS barcode from GS1 and send it to my supplier, he put it on the products and then I send him the FNSKU barcode and ask him to cover with the FNSKU barcode the UPS barcode?
Hello! You're welcome and thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it! I'm glad you find value in the content. No, if you are selling FBA, only the FNSKU needs to go on each unit. This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/eyMI-IJT160/v-deo.html
Thanks a lot for this Crescent. Just a question. Does my manufacturer need to put the FNSKU label +"made in china" on the product itself(ex. a waist trainer) or on the packaging(customized mersh bag)?
You’re welcome. The country of origin needs to be on the product itself or on the packaging. This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/ynVQ3pOL3lk/v-deo.html
Thanks for this video. I will use pixir instead of canva to see if I can scan the barcode this time.
You're welcome! Make sure the print out is clear and high resolution with no smudging. As long as the scanner app recognizes the the image as a barcode, then you're good to go. It won't actually link to anything if you're listing isn't live on Amazon. Here's an updated video on this: ua-cam.com/video/tdJqj7tEjdM/v-deo.html
Hi Crescent, Great content thank you! I've learned a lot from all your videos, question, last FUSKU flow chart video you said both UPC and FNSKU must to go on the outer most packaging, but the Amazon guideline states only FNSKU can be seen, everything else should be covered, I watched all your videos on this topic, nothing says UPC has to be on the packaging as well, could you clarify this please? Appreciate it, keep up the good work!
Hello! I’m glad you found value in the content. You must have misunderstood the video and flow chart. Only one barcode is allowed on each unit.
This was very helpful, Thanks. So do I need to add both UPC barcode and ASIN on this label to send to my supplier?
You're welcome! I'm glad you found it helpful. Only one barcode can be visible on each unit: ua-cam.com/video/ynVQ3pOL3lk/v-deo.html
Awesome video, Crescent! Thank you. I have a question. Can the manufacturer have the FNSKU printed directly on the product box and does the UPC also have to be on there? Thank you.
You're welcome! I'm glad you found it helpful. Yes, you can have the barcode printed on the packaging. Only one barcode can be on each unit. Here's an updated video on this: ua-cam.com/video/tdJqj7tEjdM/v-deo.html

You are a legend !!!! this game is unmatched. The likes are free
Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it! I'm glad you found value in the content!
Hi Crescent, do you know if we can resize the barcodes? The smallest size that is offered (48.5 mm x 25.4 mm on A4) doesn't fit on my packaging. Can I resize it smaller or any advice? Thanks !
Hello. Yes, you can resize it as long as it's still scannable and readable.
Thanks for this, very helpful! Quick question though, with the labelling (for private label) do you have to have the UPC code on the physical product if you're going to be putting the amazon label on as well? Or do I just need the UPC so I can create the listing? Amazon will be doing the preparing. Thanks
You’re welcome! Yes, the barcode needs to be on every unit. If you’re doing FBA, put the FNSKU on each unit, not the UPC. You need a UPC to create the listing. If you’re having Amazon do the labeling instead of your supplier, Amazon will charge you $0.20/unit.
@@CrescentKao Thank you for the response! this helps me massively
Thanks Crescent. What is the smallest size I can print for the FNSKU? My product is very small and my packaging (a box) is small as well.
You’re welcome! As long as it’s easily readable and scannable.
this was really helpful but i just had a couple clarifying questions. When I email the supplier to apply the FNSKU label, is there a template I should use to sound more professional? How would I go about asking them to apply the FNSKU label?
This video goes over it and includes an email template: ua-cam.com/video/E27_fsNRZGU/v-deo.html
Good presentation
I'm glad you found value in it!
Hi Crescent, thank you so much for the clear details. I have one question. Can you still edit the label if you want Amazon to apply it on the boxes? Thank you in advance.
Hello! You’re welcome! No you can’t. Here’s an updated video on this:
ua-cam.com/video/tdJqj7tEjdM/v-deo.html
Thank you very much for this info! However, when I click 'Print Item Labels', it only shows me the manufacturer barcode; I wonder which step I did wrong or how I should've changed in settings? Once again, thanks for sharing lots of info!
You're welcome! You need to choose Use Amazon Barcode. You can also change the default to always use the Amazon barcode in your Settings in seller central.
Great information thank you but I have a PC as opposed to a Mac. What is the easiest and cheapest way to convert a .pdf to a editable file using a PC?
Glad you found it helpful. You can find an online converter with google. Or just take a screenshot of the PDF and save it as a jpg.
Awesome video. Question: after i'm done editing the barcode, i then save it, and flip it back to PDF. it seems like the quality isn't as good. Or would you just sent JPEG barcodes back to the manufacturer? (i actually think i lose resolution quality when i screenshot and crop) any way around this?
JPG should be ok. Confirm with your supplier.
Hi Crescent, I followed your instructions made my first designed label. Yay! Trying to print 44 up FNSKU labels on a laser printer BUT lost formatting with the dimensions with 2"x 1"(48.5mm x 25.4mm). Any ideas, please? How to size and lay the revised label on an A4 paper, please? What label device you are using, please? Is label by the roll? On a letter size? Thanks very much for the great videos!
Hello! I'm glad you found the video helpful! I don't print my own labels, my supplier does. You'll have to figure out what the problem is with your label printer software.
Do I need to place the FNSKU on the box i am sending my products in ? Or only directly on the material enclosing my product (poly wrap) ?
The FNSKU needs to go on the outer most packaging of each unit so it can be easily seen and scanned.
Hey Kao.
A quick question. If I plan on selling dietary supplements and I do not have a package besides the bottle itself. Can I put the FNSKU label into my product label?
Hello. Yes, it can on on the bottle itself.
Love your videos! However, I do not see the Print item label in the drop-down, and yes, it is set to FBA. I have 20 variations, so is it why it might take longer? I have yet to add any inventory because I want to ensure that my listing is not going live since my product is still in China and awaiting professional images. I have created it because I need to send FNSKU to my vendor. I gathered that's how it works... I am having a hard time with this Amazon system. I watched too many videos, but I finally found your channel today!!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! Can you please advise if you can from what I described above ;)
To add, I do not have UPC's because I have 20 variations. I am avoiding the expense since I don't know if the product will do well for my brand. I did not see anywhere where to apply for the GTIN exemption, so I am frustrated. Please advise.
Hello, I’m glad you’re finding value in the content! If you just switched it to FBA, you may need to wait a couple hours for the listing to update. Otherwise, contact seller support if it still isn’t available. Here’s a new video on this topic: ua-cam.com/video/-IOFXsLDFhA/v-deo.html
And GS1 barcodes only cost $30/ea. You’re creating problems for yourself by getting a GTIN exemption.
Here’s a video specifically on how to print the barcode: ua-cam.com/video/tdJqj7tEjdM/v-deo.htmlsi=UeLLzf_mkqB5bUu4
Thanks Crescent. Once created, must we tell the factory to print it out in a particular size?
As long as it's scannable, it can be whatever size you want.
@@CrescentKao hey crescent, i just screen captured and added "made in turkey" in photoshop on top, but does resizing it change the barcode? i proportionally scaled it and want to be sure if it reads the relative width of the lines or should I directly print out the measures given to me by amazon? thanks m8
or should i not bother and directly print what amazon sent me?
as i wrote this i think i already know the answer but just have to be sure.
thanks again
Thanks Crescent, you are a hero! One question, the FNSKU never change right? If I labeled my product on the first shipment with the FNSKU I printed, for the next shipment of the same product is going to be the same FNSKU right?
You're welcome! I'm glad you found value in the content. The FNSKU typically will never change. It can in rare occasions so I would double check it every time you create a shipping plan.
Great video, quick question however, when should I use Scan & Label? is this only when I'm shipping different SKU in a single package to send to Amazon FBA? or, let's say for example I'm shipping 10 of the same item in a single box, does each item require a FNSKU? what does co-mingle mean?
I’m glad you found it helpful! This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/ynVQ3pOL3lk/v-deo.html
I suggest watching this too: ua-cam.com/video/iQMKhWhSYPs/v-deo.html
Thank you Crescent, very helpful. Can i edit the name of the item once the fnsku barcode is in pixlr? The title of my item is 3 lines long (lots of keywords) and so the FNSKU barcode has the first 3 words and the last 2 words of all that content. It doesn't look good on the FNSKU as it doesn't make any sense, so can i edit the title on the barcode to say 'red bucket 4 inches', instead of what is on the listing title beginning and end.
You're welcome. Yes. You can edit the title anytime you want, however the title shown on FNSKU almost always never reflects any changes you make. It only shows the original title you gave the listing. It doesn't matter though.
@@CrescentKao Thank you so much for replying and for that helpful info.
Hi Crescent! For clothes, there is already a "Made in China" on the clothing tags/woven labels. Do I still need to put "Made in China" on my barcode? Thank you!
Hello! If it already says it on the product, then no.
does stretching the barcode change it's information or does it read relative width? i really need help on this.
Use a barcode scanner app and see if it scans properly.
Man I called Amazon Service two times, and they pended me for 5 minutes and they couldn't tell me simply what should I do! I am 3 mins in and I just got my answer! Thank you!!!
You’re welcome! I’m glad you figured it out. Here’s an updated video on this: ua-cam.com/video/tdJqj7tEjdM/v-deo.html
If we send the Fnsku to the supplier or our packaging maker, would we still need the gs1 barcodes you speak about in other videos ?
Yes. This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/-IOFXsLDFhA/v-deo.html
Thank you. One question: when I am done with editing, I save it in PDF?
You can save it in whatever format you'd like but I use JPG.
Hi Cresant. I tried printing in both jpg and pdf format the quality of print was very poor. Could you please help me. What might be the issue.
Hello, can i print the FNSKU along with the cover of the product then wrap it in a polybag?
thanks!
Hello, I'm not sure what you mean by cover? The FNSKU needs to be on the outer most packaging, visible and easily scannable.
Thanks Crescent. This works however when I print it, the quality is poor. I downloaded it from Pixlr as a high-quality JPG but when I print it, it looks like a copy of a copy of a copy if you know what I mean. It must be losing some quality when you take the screen capture and copy that into Pixlr. Is this just an expected byproduct of doing it this way or am I missing something?
You're welcome. You must be doing something on one of the steps that's reducing the quality or resolution of the image.
If I have Shirts same type but different color can I put two listing with same UPC code or to have two listing I need two UPC even thou product quality is same just different color
Every product or variation requires its own barcode. This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/eyMI-IJT160/v-deo.html
Thanks Crescent! What are some of the reasons that Amazon would switch a listing from FBA to Fulfill by Merchant? I started a brand new listing last night and this exact thing happened to me already. When I try to change it back to FBA, it says it's flagged for review for potentially hazardous or harmful materials, when it's nowhere close to either of those things. It will take up to 4 days to review supposedly, but I need to get my labels to my manufacturer before then. What should I do?
Unfortunately, Amazon needs to verify that certain products aren't dangerous. The system flags them due to the category, keywords, etc and if it's flagged, you have to go through the verification process. There's no way around it. This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/cAFLegUlydo/v-deo.html
Do you recommend a warehouse to label you product or
have Amazon do it. My product already has a 3rd party barcode on the box but I decided to create a new listing and relabel using a GS1. My warehouse charges 0.56 Amazon charges 0.30. Seems like a no brainer but what do you think? BTW great video as always.
I"m glad you're finding value in the content. If it's more cost effective to have amazon do it, then just have them do it.
Do I need to put this on the outside packaging as well or only required on the poly bag ?
The barcode and warning labels need to go on each unit: ua-cam.com/video/-IOFXsLDFhA/v-deo.html
Hey, thanks for the vid. Is it necessary/recommended to include product name and condition under the barcode? I thought it is not required?
It's required. You can't alter the FNSKU label barcode or text.
@@CrescentKao Are you sure you can't modify the text?
My products have almost the same text on the FNSKU and i am worried of my supplier to not mess the products when he preps them.
I was thinking either change the text with an editor or print them directly to my polybag?
What do you think?
Sorry if I missed this in your video (not sure if you covered it), but if "made in china" is printed on the cartons being shipped to the Amazon warehouse but not each individual unit will I run into a problem?
It's required to be on each unit by US customs. Your shipment can get rejected at Customs when they inspect it.
Hi Crescent, I am following your video right now on how to incorporate the Made in China and suffocation warning. My question is do I have to do this on all the barcodes, say I have 196 barcodes to go on 196 units, do I need to do it on the 196 or I just send one and up to the supplier to print the 196? I don't know if this makes sense.
The same barcode goes on all the units. This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/eyMI-IJT160/v-deo.html
Can you have the warning info and Made in China printed in the back of the polybag and then have the FNSKU label sticker on the front of the polybag in the center?
Yes.
Do you need FNSKU label even if you have a upc label for the private label product? Also is there a specific format for UPC such as A or B?
If you're doing private label and if the UPC barcode came from your supplier, I would suggest getting your own UPC barcode still and always putting the FNSKU on each unit.
awesome description of what i was looking for. thanks. do you have a video on how you pack and ship to fba?
Glad you found it helpful! This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/YTIx60Tl684/v-deo.html
And this: ua-cam.com/video/ynVQ3pOL3lk/v-deo.html
Hello, can you print a QR code on amazon fba product that takes customer to one's amazon store front? i would still print an FNSKU and no UPC printed on packaging. please advise
You’re welcome! Yes, you can put whatever you want on your packaging as long as you’re not trying to circumvent the Amazon buying process.
Suppose I have one item (like PHONE CSAE) with two colours how can I create my FNSKU CODE on the Box/packet. Will I create the boxes/packets with TWO different FNSKU CODE or with ONE FNSKU CODE?
Each product or variation needs its own unique barcode. This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/o0ZoSR4vRkU/v-deo.html
What about if you have different sizes, colors or shapes of the same product, do you need separate fnsku for each package?
If you're selling them separately and not all in a single unit, then yes, they all need their own barcode: ua-cam.com/video/eyMI-IJT160/v-deo.html
I want to print sku labels but its asking me dimension and weight of the product
Do I need to put the dimension and weight of product by itself or its retail box like cell phone box
The size and weight of the package as the buyer would get it when they buy one unit from you.
Hi Crescent, is it necessary to have the name on the FNSKU? or just the barcode, country of origen and code number will do? thank you!!!!!!!!!!
No. But you shouldn't modify the FNSKU label if you don't have to.
I have 100 boxes with 10 items in each box. Question: I have to put the FNSKU label on each item inside the box + on the box or only on the box? Sorry if is a stupid question but I don`t want to make any mistakes. Thank you!
The FNSKU needs to go an each unit. This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/o0ZoSR4vRkU/v-deo.html
If I have a private label product that I'm launching soon, do you know the minimum size requirements for the barcode? I'm printing them on the product.
It needs to be easily readable and scannable.
What type of label paper and printer toner is best? My toner wears off the labels easily.
I've never had any issues. I've used standard HP inkjet printers and HP laserjet with Avery labels. Here's an updated video on this: ua-cam.com/video/tdJqj7tEjdM/v-deo.html
Hi sir, I pay for manual processing fee to amazon does that mean, they gonna put a fnsku on my each unit? Or Do I have to get from them and send that to manufacturers?
Hello. If you chose to have Amazon do the labeling then Amazon will do it for you for $0.30/unit.
Hi there, i have a question. Can i use the same fnsku for all of the same products but in different countries?
Hello! If the Amazon marketplace shares the same seller account, like US, Canada, Mexico, then you can use the same FNKSU. Otherwise, you need to create a separate seller account for those marketplaces and a new listing/fnksu.
if we change the shipment plan from small parcel to truck load does the amazon barcodes change?
No. The UPC/FNSKU will never/rarely change for the life of the product.
Great Video! I also saw the minimum print size requirements on Amazon. Are they strict on that or should I be good as long as it’s legible
Glad you found it helpful. As long as its scannable, you're good to go.
@@CrescentKao Great thank you
Hey Crescent great Video
Question: can I change the product description on the FNSKU label ? It doesnt make too much sense for my product .
Thanks
Hello! I'm glad you found value in the video! Yes, you can edit or remove the title as long as you don't change the barcode/ASIN.
Thank you so much
@@slim8928 You're welcome!
If i am selling a product that already has a barcode (online arbitrage) then do I still need a FNSKU or SKU label for my product ? I wasnt sure when FNSKUs are required
For arbitrage you can just use the manufacturers barcode unless you don’t want to commingle. This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/eyMI-IJT160/v-deo.html
Hi Cresent, I'm just asking, should you need to print both FNSKU and UPC label on a single package?
My supplier requires me to send a UPC code, but since it will be covered by FNSKU(print by Merchant), should I send her an FNSKU code rather than UPC, to be printed out in the packaging?
Only the FNSKU is required. ua-cam.com/video/eyMI-IJT160/v-deo.html
