4:15 They didn’t get it wrong. They’re making a joke of the quote because they designed the entire model and not just half of it. If you read the first line below, it makes sense.
Actually this time at least one LAN member got these new midi-scale/starship collection sets before Ryan. I forgot who but he even talked about it in the latest Ask MandR episode.
I think it was Tiago caterino and he didn’t actually have the sets he was in Denmark and lego was showing him the sets early along with other lan member like bricksie
It is SO HARD for me to beleive it has this long since revenge of the sith, and somehow THIS is the first time this Class of CIS ship has been made into a lego set
I think the reason the bridge doesnt look level is because your eyes will use the hull as guide for level but it leans back making the bridge look like its leaning forward
MIDI scales are so good! This line HAS to continue for years! So many opportunities, Venator, home 1, star destroyer, x-wing, SLAVE-1. So much can be made. Love this set,I’ve midi scale.
Honestly of the 3 new midi (starfighter series) ships this one is surprisingly my favourite. I think it just looks the best and I love how it can split
I basically added my own Grievous and Dooku. I got this set for my birthday. I agree with your points. I loved building this, especially with R2D2 info.
The extra grill was included with the super star destroyer as well, just never attached. Better to do it this way in my opinion so you know where it is.
I can't remember if there was ever a polybag set, but a Munificent Frigate of that size would look nicely proportional to the Invisible Hand. A nice little display for a fleet/armada of Separatist ships.
Figured out why the observation deck leans forward, and it actually does. It’s because of the 1x1 curved slope they used. Where the connection makes contact is where that piece curves down so it is missing that edge due to the slope. If you switch it out with a regular 1x1 cheese slope you’ll see that it will level out.
3:23 I've noticed at times they don't mould these pieces correctly. I have two 2014 snowspeeders... one of them the cockpit closes just fine, the other the cockpit piece for some reason COULD NOT CLOSE all the way no matter WHAT I did.
@@okaydrod Is nuance not a thing among LEGO fans? It's obviously a play on the original quote given that you receive, in fact, a whole ship in the set.
I feel like this set really deserved printed pieces. It's a lot of small pieces for 50 dollars. With printed pieces the value would've been okay, but right now I have to wait for a sale if I want to get this set.
I was just walking in Target this morning and saw this in the old Lego isle. I didn’t even know it existed, and I’m a HUGE clone wars fan. I instantly grabbed it, gonna go home and put it together. Now we need a Munificent set and maybe an Arequitens and Acclamator set!
I just built this and I absolutely love it. Felt really good after completing it. I’d give it a 9.95/10. Had an issue with the top of the stand where it connects to the ship as the instructions weren’t clear but we got there at the end.
If you have the Invisible Hand early then I already know you’re sitting on two other early reviews that will release each upcoming day or so lol Which one of these three “starship collection” *midi scale* sets is your favorite?
This is THE must-buy for me about the next upcoming ones. And aside the set's quality by itself, the full price feels balanced and appropriate for this theme-build tier. What really bugs me is that the Tantive IV and the Millennium not only got an "OT tax" but also that especially the second one got an additional "Falcon tip" just by being the brand flagship (at least in LEGO). Sometimes the Prequel undervalutation turns out as an advantage
1:49 honestly the front of the LEGO ship looks almost as close to the actual ship from the show as far as I can tell. Don't see how they could have done it any better 🤷♂️
I don't understand the commentary on 1:55 It was not supposed to be vertical, but horizontal, yet the image clearly shows the vertical point in front of the ship
I loved all the ways they incorporated building techniques... and it looks really unique in color and texture bc every other starship collection is a bit bland. I was hoping to get Home ONE for my Ahsoka collection on my floating bookshelf...
The Mtt could be a easter egg for a future set? I don't recall there being a Mtt on the invisible hand in episode 3, just a questionable choice from the designer's to put a Mtt there.
It was there in RotS. It's visible a couple of times at least, during the scene where they crash land in the hangar and when the super battle droids show up to investigate.
Just got this today off of ebay. The separatist are my favorite military in all of star wars so to get the invisible hand as a collection set is awesome.
It's wild how early you get these things. I still want to see a review at some point of the new Millennium Falcon. I don't have any version of it yet and I've been slowly adding an original series space battle to my ceiling. Obviously it's not to scale, but I think if I put it in the background it could still look good
I have the the two jedi interceptors on a shelf and this set alongside a vulture droid in the background will set the scene ive wanted to create since childhood. So yes. I would very much like to get this set.
These new start wars model look so shocking compared to the original designs . Looks like a cheap kids toy not a realistic midi-Scale of the previous editions in this series . This one is an easy pass
I believe that lean forward for the observation deck could be a result if the Invisible Hand has a nose up cruising attitude (while in space)... kinda like the F-16 flight attitude- nose slightly up (angle of attack.)😂😂 It's probably just a result of the hinge bricks... I didn't see the comment from arceuskiller115 before I started typing.
So are we ignoring the fact that the command bridge (the trans-green curved piece) is attached using an illegal building technique? I get that plate have a slightly maller footprint because of the ridge they have running along the edges, but wedging the same plates between the teeth of the clip is still illegal, considering it stresses te clip.
I wish Lego made more confederate vessels. The separatists are my favorite faction in Star Wars and they have such cool ship designs. Providence-class is my favorite ship in Star Wars, so I’m glad this got made
Would of been nice if they gave us a smaller stand arm that sits at an angle for if you wanted to have it displayed in half. Not a deal-breaker at all though. Definitely still want this set.
These sets will be really nice! Speaking of the stand, I have part picked two of them for other things. Like one is used on my Tie interceptor from the two fighter pack last year. The other is used for the E wing. Im a fan of this stand design its surprisingly versatile outside indented use
