It will always be 10. No matter what the original number was, when you add five and then multiply it by three, you have effectively taken your original number and added 15, because that extra 5 got multiplied by 15. You take away that 15 and what you have left is your original number multiplied by three. Therefore, when you divide that number by your original number, you get 3. From there, adding 7 is just extra fluff to make the "final answer" a nicely rounded 10.
No magic, just a clever bit of illusory math to distract you from realizing you were being taken on a ride through common mathematical properties to ensure you always arrived at three.
