Now that the twins helped unlocked Blood Mist 4, it is time I do it for reals and try to finish the game with it
This run is only Blood Mist 4, I would end up doing Expert Blood Mist 4 for the True Ending (after I unlocked gold friendship with everyone, which took some time)

This game is so goofy unintentionally lmao. phoenix's presence of being a cartoon bird alone just tones down the drama. I looked briefly at a couple steam forums a while back and I see ones that are just like "Is azar mentally impaired??" Dude is the biggest tweaker, and what's funnier is that when he's dying and lucy asks him why he did what he just did he says "dunno... beats me..." Which sums up his entire character in a nutshell. It's SOMA but not as horrifying.
I doubt that everyone would lose their sense of self upon knowing there's a real them out there, especially in a virtual world context. It's not like they were never real in the first place or created as an AI. They're memory copies of real people. I really don't see what the big deal is. Me personally I wouldn't bat an eye at this realization. Because my sense of self wouldn't be disconnected from the fleshbag me out there. I'd think "yup that's me, do your best doing real life things lol"
Also, Azar really put everyone in a mind-wiping loop and went "hurr durr why didn't you guys change or something when your memories are literally deleted everytime?? guess I'll destroy everything then smh so disappointing" Dude is outsprinting common sense by miles. His portrayal is downright moronic and childish. It would be more relatable if his doubts and fears were portrayed more clearly but it's all vague till the end for the sake of the 'big revelation.'

That's the main problem this story has, for the sake of needing to fight Azar (and Azar squared) they had to give him a motive to do so but the guy is not inheritedly a bad guy so they had to handwave it with some form of mental illness to try to make the story work.
That's the problem I see with other shows as well, where the good guys either all derped for the bad guy to get his way or something like what is happening with Azar now.

Also normally I would just say NEEEEERRRRD and not care too much because the gameplay is the main thing for games such as this, but it's their own fault for making the story interesting dammit

@@LuBuFengXian I am very much a NEEEEEEERD, it is well deserved. I care more about the gameplay as well, Engage is my favorite FE after all.
Chrono ark has very interesting lore and concepts but sub par execution. Apparently they had a whole pre-loop story section that got retconned called Chrono Ark Story: Fate, which is very unfortunate because a brief look over of the screenshots would add more to the story and get to know the alter egos of the characters.

Yeah I have heard about Fate, it's a bit unfortunate but I can kind of understand that they don't want to give too much of the story away and opt to have us find out bit by bit from playing the main game, clueless like Lucy, for a more dramatic effect when we do see what is happening
