Some tips: - Turning on quick mode in the settings and remembering to teleport using the minimap instead of walking around will help shorten runs. - Forging 2 equipment of the same rarity will give you 1 of a tier higher. 2 heroics can be forged into a legendary, which is the highest tier. - you can right click equipment in your inventory to quickly equip them without going into the menus. - on the friendship/gifts screen at campfires, mousing over characters will tell you what their preferred gifts are at the bottom of the screen as you discover them. Increasing friendship gives you more choices to pick from when they learn skills during their 1st level up. - don't forget to switch to expert mode at the start of the next run! It definitely makes runs more interesting. - Talk to Lian (at the 2nd area in town) before your next run to get started on unlocking her.
You can preview the skill of skil books in the shop by right clicking on it. Also, blacksmith works on equipment and relics. If two of the same rarity equipment is used, it will create a higher rarity equipment.

You can turn her into an offensive character; it's a niche item, but a pretty cool one for allowing builds like this. And if it's not an item that suits your build (99% of the time), you can use it as a material to forge a legendary item.
Ok, I kew from the begining that there was something wrong with Azar, and I was wondering why Lucy was emotionless, but damn I did NOT expect that scene. Not that surprising that she's emotionless, the poor girl must be traumatized to a point of no return with all these loop.
I don't know if you already knew about this because you've made a new chrono ark video, but if you give a character a gift that makes them happy, they instantly gain friendship token. You can max out all the characters friendship tokens this way.
The rod of faith is for pressel and huz dps,pressel have an skill called "first class to heaven" which is just a bonk and it scaled off attack power,you just wanna take adjust aim along with it for that style
Decided to start playing after seeing how fun this game is, i nearly won my first run and then got really annoyed cause i remembered that i still had a BUNCH of items that would've definitely let me win. I can't believe i forgot items exist xD
If you turn on quick progress mode in the settings then traversing the map becomes a lot faster! If you're worried about runs being too long, that's a good way to cut down on time. (also, the final stage is a lot shorter than the other levels, so dw abt it too much lol)
Ended up picking up the game as soon as i got off work on the night i saw your first ep, very fun yup. Ended up losing my first run at the reaper due to me fat fingering my end turn button with no confirmation, so i now have that thing set to P. It's fun trying out the different units and finding random synergy, like stacking pain debuffs with Charon and Joey, then proceeding to do 500 damage with Charon's character ability. Charon ended up being a favourite actually, the damage to allies on some of her abilities is off-putting at first but its all heal-able damage and if you finish the fight on that turn it wont matter anyways, she also has one of the more useful heals in the game (Dark Heal goes hard) that can also target enemies for damage. [Edit] "who wants this?" > as pressel's name is in the flavor text. xD Also damage from burns and pain procs at the enemie's attack. So if they attack 3 times i turn, they take 3 instances of burn dmg.
Dark heal and the self damage stuff is really damn good on Charon. Definitely felt a bit afraid at first that I might accidentally kill a unit off lol. Her item is incredible at compensating for ally dmg, really well designed character imo. I love that every character in the game has a lot of stuff going on and a lot of cool synergies with other characters.
This game is so sick, I am one of those people who prefer long videos to play along with. Quick progress should speed things up tremendously, it allows you to just TP to most encounters which reduces the amount of map exploration you have to do, and you can turn gameplay to fast speed. Most of my runs end after an hour and 20 mins.
An interesting game for sure. Its long runs make it tricky to watch vids for though, as it's a commitment. I haven't played yet, but I feel like that tracks with actually playing too, and I worry that the runs might overstay their welcome a bit.
The long runs are really bad for video content which I why I don’t plan on posting the game too often compared to others. Which is a bit of a shame since it’s such a fun/good game. Think I might be able to get the runs down to 2h once I get the hang of everything. Won’t be anytime soon though…
@@krowzLite Yeah for videos it will be rougher since obviously its more effort to commentate. While still learning characters and just getting used to the game the runs will definitely be longer especially with so many characters. Like others said some options can cut it down a bit that once you're used to it it should be ~1-1.5 with some obvious variance for rougher/easier runs etc.
You only keep meta progression upgrades. Hard to explain if you haven’t played any roguelikes, there’s progress in the run and progress outside of runs. This game is quite literally a time loop so think of it that way.

Tooth does the total damage the pain would be over all the turns upfront saw it happen multiple times but you were information overwhelmed

No. This is just a single run. This game is very long from what I’ve seen.
Even after the long story, you can spend 100’s of hours just playing it.

Once you get the hang of the game it apparently averages out to 1h30 runs.
