Hey guys, I wanted to talk about something on here cuz I feel only the gays will kind of understand my situation, so here we go.
My girlfriend and I hung out for the night a couple of days ago, and she unfortunately left her phone here, which I’m returning tomorrow, I know I shouldn’t of done this but I looked through her discord, it was with absolutely no malicious intent i just wanted to check up on one of my mutual friends, whom my girlfriend had as a friend on the app, I clicked on the chat she had with the friend, and noticed there was a long paragraph from my girlfriend to the mutual friend, the paragraph had things along the lines of how she didn’t want to live anymore and the constant stress of work, school and her family, (specifically her parents). I don’t know how to deal with this situation as after I read this my girlfriend texted me to say to not go through her discord messages, was she purposely trying to hide this information from me? And I don’t know how to bring it up because she specifically said to not go through the messages, but I still want to help her in anyway I can. Any advice?
Hi! If I'm in your situation I would ask her if everything's doing okay, and if she says yes then tell her that if something happens or something's troubling her know that you're there and she can talk to you. And if she says no, ask her why but don't force her to say it, and tell her that no rush, she can talk to you whenever she feels ready.
Yeah that’s def tough. Keep an eye on her (not in a creepy way, just I can tell you from experience that when someone goes from passive to active ideation their behavior generally shifts some). I really hope she’s ok. Make sure she knows that she can trust you. Please don’t tell her parents unless you know for sure they won’t make things worse.
