Hi im confused with the difference between the yolk sac and blastocele? in my lectures ive been told the blastocele becomes the yolk sac once it is fully surrounded by endoderm and mesoderm, but your diagrams show them both at the same time

The yolk sac is formed from the hypoblast (which is a component of the embryoblast within the blastocele or blastocyst cavity). So it’s the hypoblast that becomes the yolk sac not the blastocele as a whole. Hope this helps :)
