cilia is involved in the movement of material on the surface or within the organs whereas flagellum is involved in movement of entire cells ex sperm in the vaginal canal. Great work medicosis rockssss
love from India.. flagella are longer than cilia and flagella function in locomotion only whereas cilia has functions like locomotion, help to move the liq. over their surface (in trachea), movement of egg in uterus. flagella are longer and lesser in number than cilia. cilia beat by power strokes and recovery strokes while flagella moves in a wave like motion.

Very enjoyable. Thank you. Medical terminology and your graphics massage my brain. If you should retire from medicine one day you would make a terrific stand up comedian.Wit and quick delivery are you. Cheers :)
0:52 Shouldn't the primary spermatocyte have 92 chromatids (not 46)? Since you went from 2C --> 4C, so I was assuming you doubled the number of chromatids.
cilia I believe is shorter and it waves, such as in the respiratory lining. they get rid of the pathogen. flagellum can rotate every direction and propel the cell movement makes the cell motile.

Hey 👋 Jarrod.
The topic of steroidogenesis will be discussed in the Endocrinology playlist (this playlist starts December 2020 on UA-cam).

My pleasure!
Would you please help me by sharing?
