It's fun how the lyrics gives me hope, until I realize there's an "un" before the "alone" ... So... eh she's actually singing "I'll always be alone" 😱
I can kind of see some elements from Frankenstein's Monster within this song; the creature here gets abandoned by their creator much like what Victor does to his creation; the creature expresses deep loneliness and forced isolation as a creation that broke the bounds of nature and has none to rely or be consoled by as he is the first of his 'kind'- similar to the phrase "unalone" in the song. I'm really loving how I can finally use what I was forced to read in english for something of this caliber lol

I love Mili so much
I'm not gonna pretend I'm a lore expert, but this and certain other songs (Meatball Submarine, Summoning 101, Rightfully, RTRT, and Lament) make me feel a lot of things. But their entire discography makes me feel so many things, all the songs spark things inside me that make me want to write stories despite my inability. I think this band is wonderful

There's definitely a connection between "Summoning 101" and "Ga1ahad and Scientific Witchery" both songs mention 617 pages of a certain magical book
I absolutely love how this song captures the struggle of Frankenstein's creature to find meaning in his life and recognition of his creator. How, since he was created in Frankenstein's image, he was a being with the same human flaws as Frankenstein, with Frankenstein's "perversity" and "barbarity", and the "same demons" in side of him. Of how the creature felt ashamed because Frankenstein was ashamed of creating Frankenstein, And the paradise he lost when his creator remarked on the flaws he had made in his work in "If you never commented on how my body was so wrong/ I would have loved it all along".
Not gonna lie this is more accurate to the original Frankenstein's monster than 90% of films/series up until now

Thy creature of steel..
You know even with all the context I keep thinking of Nothing There from Lob corp. No matter how hard I try. I mean think about it, Nothing There came into existence and seeks to become a human so he learns through observation, his mimicry is him practicing what he's learned. For him to become human, he would have to learn emotions and grow to have a identity. For Nothing There, his major human example is like the red mist who was someone who fought to defend those whom she could. Yet after this most people he met were studying him or even doing small sessions of play with him, but he observed very little of people. Everytime he breaches containment he is met with violent force....
This song's rule of thirds motif I find is quite nice, but moreso the way Mili switches up the tone of whatever's on the 4th beat afterwards with a contrasting line.
I find it akin to a gear repeatedly sliping from another gear's then is set back into motion with a shove. Really quite delightful.
