I prefer this one because it's just so easy to get amazing colors and rich, textured shading. This printer is not suitable for printing tiny stuff, like postage stamp size, because it's only going to do 150dpi. That's good enough for a greeting card or anything larger (I prefer to print larger stuff anyways).

Nice tips for printing, it’s so much more organised, love the 5x7 settings and I love the emboss tip too I struggle with the folding points
Awesome!

Could you make a video of a card that has a message inside? How to print it
I love you
This is great. Do you have any suggestions for painting a 5x7 envelope in procreate and then a printer for printing the 5x7 envelope? I used to have an HP printer that would print many different sizes of envelopes with artwork on them. Now that it is no longer working, I have not been able to find one that will do that.
Thank you ☺️ I can make a template for you. What size of paper do you print on (a4 or letter)
tu❤
What type and brand of printer are you using? Your artwork printed out as clear as the digital version you did. Beautiful job btw
Thanks!🥰 Usually, I can get printed results identical to the iPad screen, however I'm not able to get exactly the same reds for some reasons. I don't have red 'ink' in my printer, so I think the red is just always going to be less saturated when I print it. I use a canon image-class color laser printer. It's a very inexpensive and low maintenance printer. It's capable of printing on any paper that is somewhat smooth and I print on smooth watercolor paper or cheap 'warm' cardstock. No specialty paper is necessary for this printer and I can't recommend it enough! The only downside with the printer is the resolution. It can print about as fine as the iPad screen is, which is fine for things like cards or larger, but you notice the resolution issue if you are printer very small stuff that you need to looks at very closely. For example, small stickers. I'm not happy with the quality when I'm printing stickers smaller than 4"
Something that procreate needs is rulers.
Calvin, do you use iPad as tablet with your laptop or Wacom? Thank you!
Yes!! I'm surprised they haven't added that in the recent update.
I don't really like the sidecar functionality, normally I use a wacom if I need to draw in Photoshop. I really prefer the ipad and pencil combo so usually I'll do my drawing in procreate and just airdrop it.
If I need to draw with illustrator I prefer to use an app native to the ipad instead of the tablet functionality 😁

Is that normal A4 printer paper or A4 thicker-than-normal printer paper?
Calvin, hi.
What kind of stock do you use for print?
Just normal paper?
Hi 😁 I just use any type of cheap cardstock paper. This is one of the reasons I prefer to use a color laser printer -- I don't need to use special paper to get good colors. The laser printer ink is like a thin layer of plastic that it sticks to the surface of the paper. So as long as the paper is somewhat smooth, it will work fine.
If you use an inkjet printer, you will need to get very special photo paper. Typically it's sort of shiny and I personally don't like that look. In terms of sharpness, the inkjet is superior. If you need extremely fine printing, the inkjet is sort of the only option.
Loved it! Now, how do i get the template?
Thank you so much! The download should be on the description, I will double check 🙏
I'm trying to make my own greeting cards but I noticed that if a drop of water falls on the card, the ink washes away and there's a horrible stain after that. Does anybody know if this is normal or if it's something to do with the paper or the printer? I can't find any information about it :/
The ink just won't be waterproof, which is normal from a printer, you could always get a finish vinyl to place over the painted part. I do this for stickers to make them waterproof.
hi! I'm so sorry for my late reply! If you are using a home inkjet printer, than this ink bleeding is normal. The ink they use is very easy to dissolve 😓
I prefer laser printers because the ink is waterproof - however they have their own issues. If you have your artwork professionally printed, they can use ink that is much more stable and sorta water resistant.
Can you try to iron your prints and see if this makes the ink more stable? All of these inkjet printer inks are acrylic based pigments and the heat can fuse the ink into the paper better.
