I highly, highly, highly recommend continuing on with the series if you haven't read them, particularly the next two - Anne of Avonlea and Anne of the Island. Anne of the Island is my personal favorite and I love it even more than the first! I also really recommend the last book Rilla of Ingleside as well! I feel like the rest of the series gets forgotten in the love for the first book (which is absolutely amazing) but the rest of them are so good too and I'm always recommending people try them if they loved the first. Also, all of the books are amazing as audiobooks!
I also loved Anne of the Island! I actually really loved Anne of Windy Poplars as well which surprised me as it seems to be not as popular with most people.
My best friend and I were 'Anne and Diana' when we were children. There's not a day where I am not grateful for having watched and read Anne of Green Gables as a child and fallen in love with it. And then finding a Kindred Spirit best friend who loved it just as much as I. It made for a deliciously magical childhood
I brought home from my garden 🪴 some lovely apple tree branches just about to spring forth with buds !! Beautiful I put them in a lovely vase .. I put my glasses 🤓 on and had another look at the beautiful branches bringing spring into my home 🏡 ( can you tell I’m getting into Anne mode ? ) 😆only to see the twigs were covered in 🐛 bugs … and not the prettiest ones either 🤣🤣🤪🐛🪳🐞!
