Thor: Love and Thunder’s placement in April/May of 2024 is even more interesting when you recall Spider-Man: No Way Home’s news report featuring “Political Turmoil in New Asgard”.
Given Love and Thunder takes place prior to NWH it makes me wonder what’s going on over in New Asgard… 🤔

You forgot about the fact Thor mentions that he and Jane broke up "8 years, 7 months and 6 days ago" and since they broke up in an undetermined point in time between early and mid 2017, this places Love and Thunder firmly between mid and late 2025
In my opinion once you find out when Thor and Jane broke up it should be easy to place. Let’s do the math if Thor and Jane where still together in age of ultron and Thor says they broke up during ragnorok then you have to find the break up date between 2015 and 2017 then add up 8 years 7 months and 6 days to get a some what estimate.

I do wish the Love and Thunder references were kept in Moon Knight. That way we would have a good year to place the film for sure but it's hard to use cut content because future stuff doesn't line up nicely with it. Too bad they didn't keep it

Hey Dakota! I've got something I hope you'll consider for a minute.
So if Thour (Thor Four) is in May 2024, and it's been 8 years and 7 months since he and Jane broke up, then that means the breakup was in October of 2015. This means that when the fan on the street in Ragnarok (November 2017) approaches Thor, she's bringing up celebrity gossip that's _over two years old._ I know there are some wild celebrity fans out there, but I have to say, it is pretty difficult for me to fathom someone walking up to say, Chris Pratt in 2020 and saying "Sorry about the divorce" from 2018. I think that something like that would have to be pretty fresh to 1) even be remembered in this day and age of information over-saturation, and 2) appropriate to bring up to a stranger.
Now, say Thor's breakup happened in October of 2017. Now it's recent enough to warrant bringing up (although it's still weird to do that to a stranger lol) and to be remembered by randos on the street. 8 years and 7 months later takes us to May 2026. Coincidentally enough, there is ALSO a week in May that exactly matches the moon phases you've singled out in the Moon Knight video! Monday, May 18th is the first day of a waxing crescent, coming to a first quarter on Saturday the 23rd. I think this is a perfectly workable timetable, since it lies within the dates of the exhibit (which I assume is already open, although they seem to be putting the last bits up. There's actually a second possible week - that of Monday April 20th - that aligns even better, but that's two days before the exhibit opens. If we're seeing it just _before_ it opens, though, and so many artifacts are already on display because you just can't wheel all that out in one morning, then I think this week is actually perfect for MK.) The next waxing gibbous(es) begin on May 25th, 2026, which is still about a month since Jane's blood test, like you have here. So MK happens the week of April 20th or May 18th, 2026, and Thour takes place around May 26th, 2026, and all of a sudden the line in Ragnarok makes much more sense AND - even better - Thour definitively takes place _after_ MK, which makes more sense as well considering that Gorr was still actively killing gods in the deleted MK references.

I really dislike when they are forced to delete references to another entry just because of a release-date shift. At the very least reword them to make them seem like a past event in-universe, but worded to seem like... idk, "retroactive foreshadowing".
I hate that the MCU is strictly "prequel set in a very specific time in the past, any foreshadowing is intentional" and they can never have any instance of "this thing that just happened will be seen in the next entry, stay tuned".
It bugs me too. It seems counter-productive to the whole “universe” thing.
I wish they kept the Gorr reference. Like how Star Wars referencing The Clone Wars decades before the series released

With Moon Knight taking place in early-mid June of 2024, that makes it concurrent with Spider-Man: Far From Home and the beginning of No Way Home.
It seems to me the best spot to place it is between the scene in No Way Home with Happy's C-Pap machine and Peter's first day of school, which would have to be at least a couple of months apart.
Then Ms Marvel, which takes place in the first academic quarter of 2024, would be placed between the scene of Peter, MJ, and Ned on the school roof and when Peter starts getting college rejection letters because the last one doesn't arrive until very early November.
Actually FFH begins at the end of June, going into early July, per standard NYC summer recess.
@@Geekritique Apparently there's a sign in the halal cart in episode 6 of Ms Marvel that says it was given out in march of 2025. The fact that it seems like autumn in episode 1 might mean the series is a full year after No Way Home?

Just because the Fox merger happened, doesn’t mean those titles are canon. We need to see how they’ll be incorporated, and if they will be incorporated.

In the film Jane says to Thor how long has it been since they broke up and Thor says it's been 8 years, 7 months, and 6 days. In Ragnarok they made it seem like they're break up was pretty recent and that film is set in 2017, so does that mean Love and Thunder is set in 2025 or am I wrong?
Well, their breakup would have to be before Civil War, as he was definitely off planet at that point.

If Jane and Thor broke up in January, 2017 and you add eight years seven months and six days, you get july-august 2025.
Has to be before April 2016.
There is a fall scene during the flashback of Thor and Jane. So, if the movie occurs in May-June 2024, they broke up in November-December 2015. But in Ragnarok, they seem to have broke up very recently and end of 2015 may be too early - like you don't apologize for a break up that occurs almost 2 years ago. Otherwise they broke up after April 2016 but during April, Thor is on a "long" trip off-world.

Oh how amazing it would have been if a lot of the phase 4 projects actually connected since a lot of them tie into spiritual beliefs. I was expecting Thor love and thunder to be the culmination movie but no it wasnt. It would have been great if they laid groundwork for Gorr in multiple projects. Instead we hardly even saw him butchering gods.
We literally only see him kill 1 god. The rest are offscreen.
A lot are actually connected. Loki connects to What If and Loki also connects to the next Antman. Falcon and the Winter Soldier are connected to Captain America 4 and a possible thunderbolts/dark avengers. Moonknight connects to Thor Love and Thunder now. Ms Marvel connects to the Marvels along with a bit of Wandavision. Dr Strange 2 is hinting towards a secret wars type saga. It’s introducing a new saga. Nobody knew what was going on for all of phase 1 so look at this as a phase 1 2.0 of sorts

From Egyptian gods to Djinns and Muslims, to Celestials and Asgardians, Watchers and TVA Agents(i know not necessarily gods but their level seems higher than gods), the people of TALO. But theres nothing tying them all together. I really thought Gorr would be that tying factor. But no they resolved that issue rather fast.
Moon Knight really doesn't tie with Love and thunder. They thought of doing it but they couldn't.

I feel like that will be one of the new Avenger movies is the Gods vs the Avengers. Zeus wants all hero’s dead and for the people to fear the Gods again so why wouldn’t Hercules round up all the Gods, who just saw Thor nearly kill Zeus, to kill all the Avengers?
@@Comic_Geek2001 thats mostly things that have not yet happened. So far only Wandavision, No Way Home connects to Multiverse of Madness. Ms. Marvel will connect to The Marvels. However all the other shows dont connect with each other. Even the timeline of each show and movie is still confusing

Go right ahead. I don’t consider most of the tie-in stuff canon personally, as it is often overlooked or not touched upon later. Case in point, the Infinity quest novels, or the Thanos novel. Both claimed canonicity. Both retconned.

It literally could have been told the day after by Korg and it’d be the same story with the same tense. 🤷🏻♂️ No reason to believe it’s a few months after.
