One must always consider changes in mindset as we age. Which is governed by our surroundings, environment and experiences. Whether we chose to ignore those factors by pushing one's own agenda is another matter. Certainly racism is built on pushing a specific agenda to the point that white privilege is willing to turn a blind eye and deny. And yes it can't be sustain in the face of what happens when the extremist puts a knee on the supposed 'enemies' neck. But the decent and discernment also plays their part. Jordan Peterson said something once that forced me to think deeply - because I’m a person who tends to value thinking before speaking, but as Jordan Peterson so cleverly pointed out, “We speak SO THAT we think.”
It sounds counterintuitive, but the more I wrestled with it, the more I understood that we have to say things - put them out there (even if just to ourselves, for who hasn’t thought through a difficult topic alone, in the shower?) - but we must put them out there to hear how they sound, and the wrangle with their rightness and wrongness.
We must speak so that we think.
And now we have a culture in which the color of one’s skin is enough evidence to ascribe guilt upon that person. And it’s enough reason for them to be silent.

I work for a large international business and the HR department is starting to talk about "micro aggressions" and "privilege".
Unsurprisingly most of the employees are saying nothing as they probably see this development as ridiculous.
Essentially what has happened is that psychology graduates are now running the internal aspects of companies. People who have studied about dogs salivating at the sound of a bell are now "coaching" software developers on how to live their lives.
It's pathetic, childish and nothing more than an attempt to have power over others.
We need someone at the top to call out this bullshit, however those at the top are so scared that they just cower to the ideologies of the semi-sane.

I find myself more and more annoyed at the MSM for their complete denial that the White Working class have suffered centuries of inequality and subservience. I am genuinely frightened that the blood sweat and tears of my class will be wiped from history and re-set to the struggles (which is appauling) to when the Windrush Generation arrived on our shores. I see where you’re coming from but I’m not quite sure if I agree. It takes balls to apologise if you’re wrong, and asking permission can sometimes be appropriate. However, Laurence has nothing at all to apologise for, and he doesn’t need to ask permission to voice an opinion, so fair play to the man. PS: I’m in my 70s and as far as I can remember (don’t laugh!), the only times I have ever voted have been to keep somebody out as opposed to getting somebody in. If Lawrence ever runs for politics, I’ll vote for him even if I have to crawl on my hands and knees to the polling booth.

The appalling murder of G Floyd was the result of personal animosity between him and the cop who worked together in club as bouncers. At this stage is it is looking likely that colour of skins had less to do with it than was immediately assumed. What is certain is that a bad cop can do huge damage to law and order anywhere.
I also think that a huge factor in Floyd's death is the appalling training of American Police. This is in psrt due to their over reactive nature as a culture but also because of the very real threat that the cop may be killed in even the most trivial of encounters. Add to that, the fact that the cop had had numerous brushes with Floyd over the years for one offence after another, and also because Floyd had a history of drug dealing A class narcotics and a history of violent crime, including armed robbery, you see that there was definately bad blood between the Police and George Floyd. He didn't derserve to be killed by the cop, and the Officer behaved like a pig, but there were other circumstances at play...poor training, over zealousness against a well known criminal...Race may have played a part, but if it did, it was a minor role..After all, the other cops were non white.
If only people in the main stream media would mention this. The media would love a far left takeover. BLM is financed by the wealthiest individuals, foundations and corporations in America - it is the Establishment.

I’m a Christian and what you are saying is all based on the Christian faith, however sadly my church and it seems the whole of the Church of England have completely missed that and have decided to forget the Gospel and follow the whole woke, liberal left, virtual signalling social justice movement. How refreshing to hear words that actually makes sense coming from an actor that I have loved to watch. We aren't used to that here in the US. where the majority of Hollywood Actors have lost their minds as they bow done and worship at the alter of liberalism and socialism!
