I love that Aqua Revue takes the time to teach each customer that’s new to using lily pipes how to properly handle them. Also, not all fish stores will tell you this but when you break your ADA lily pipes, you can trade the broken ones in for brand new ones at a discounted price. Be sure to follow me on Instagram @ryowatanabee for more pictures and updates 😊
Thank you for sharing the instructional video from that nice lady. I wish I've watched it before I broke mine a month ago. She is absolutely right, the neck part is the weakest section. In the future, I wonder if you can introduce how to install a guard on the intake pipe for those of us who have shrimp in the tank.
I don’t know about that as we’ve never used one before since we’re not breeding small shrimp but I guess just try to be gentle and patient with putting the guard over the intake
The spring brush for lily pipes you just used, I have it also and I can say it sucks big time because it scratches the glass. Great tips overall Ryo, best of luck still, you are doing great!
Great video with great tips on handling and the care for the glass Lily pipes! I'm still dreaming of the day that I will need them😂 but in the meantime, I enjoy seeing how they work and learning all I can!🙏😁🌱🐟🌱💚
This was Helpful. I need a good output closer to the surface for my axolotl. A lily pipe seems perfect. What kind of soft tubing is that? I have to get mine from a hardware store and it’s too rigid.
Ryo, Another interesting and informative video. One small tip you might consider; it would have been nice if you showed the manager's face in the beginning--as an introduction.Maybe that's just me but it seems polite? I am one of those people who likes a little bit of algae (because it is a natural part of the eco system). In fact, as an experiment, I am thinking about letting the back wall of my 150L get covered in it whilst still cleaning sides and front. Anyway, love your work. Greetings from New Zealand.
Well yes. I asked her that but you’ve got to consider too that some people don’t like to be on camera. Thanks for your comment though 😊 For an aquascaped tank, I’d love to have zero algae in it. If it’s like a goldfish tank or just a regular tank I wouldn’t mind purposely growing some algae as it’s also quite beneficial. Just enjoy the process and if you don’t like it, you can always get rid of the algae 😃
@@RyoWatanabee I only have WCMMs in mine...they like algae so no worries there! I love your planted '60' btw.....I would eventually like to achieve a 'scape like that. I am, not very patiently, waiting for my plants to grow and fill out the tank.....
Hello ryo, i was looking this video and thinking if I should return to glass lily pipes and I was wondering, how did you handle biofilm on this aquarium?
I really do enjoy watching your videos and I'm looking forward for your plans for the mini studio and the fish room garage something 😁. Keep it up, Ryo.
Hey Ryo I broke my first intake by accident and than stumbled upon this video hahaha.. How I wish I found your channel earlier! Btw have you tried those glass skimmer intakes? Or in your opinion a standard lily pipe set up is more than enough to remove surface muck/scum..
Oh I still break them.... I find a way. I dropped a spin pipe last week on a tile floor.... still need to order a new one. At least I had a small lily to substitute for now.
Use clear acrylic tubing. Never break and cleaning could be by brushpipe or soak in bleach- right? I myself just see clear as an algae and bacteria magnifying glass. Black tubing and clear acrylic Lily output would work just as well. I know the goal is to return the water flow with least disturbance..but that blown glass Lilly Tube from so many accounts is just too fragile. When I think of how many heater tubes that have broken over the decades..🤦♂️
No, glass is not that week. Maybe if it’s acrylic, you’ll get lots of scratch marks but I don’t see a single scratch on mine after using for more than 1 year

Thank you for the informative video. I will be installing lily pipes this week, and there was little information on how to properly install these.
Thank you :) Good luck!
Mind blown! ADA has thought out everything so carefully. Just wish their stuff was easier to get in the states
Thanks a lot from France 🙏
Great Upload Ryo~!
I was so excited to see your video in my subscriptions today.
Thanks for taking the time to film these.

Very helpfull. Thank you! Broke one myself just recently.

Nice vid man! This is very helpful to me, I'm starting at the aquascape aquariums :)
Awesome, good luck :)
On a side note I love your tank it’s so beautiful
It’s dirty though. Watch the next vid to see it sparkly clean :)

Very Nice video.
Eveything look great bro!!! I noticed the shrimp shots lol good man!!!
Thanks 😊
Nice vid!
What’s the best way to make the pinnitifida that dense? Yours looks great
Trim it a lot and don’t let it grow tall
Hey Ryo, Good info vid on the lily pipes mate 🌱
Thanks 😊
I like this Man, he's so cool!
I really do enjoy watching your videos and I'm looking forward for your plans for the mini studio and the fish room garage something 😁. Keep it up, Ryo.
Just so I can understand and clarify, did you have the double tap installed on the inflow or outflow on the canister?
its best to have it on the inflow side. Even better would be to have it on both sides
can u do more vids about rice fish, I think its very chill and relaxing
any advices on green dust algae
I'm tempted to try some knock-off lily-pipes on my aquarium. Probably just gonna break them though.
You should get some algeaeater such as otocinclus for your 60 cm planted tank it will keep the algae clean.

What’s the size of both your inflow and outflow lily pipes ? 12/16mm?

Does the superge work with the Aquario Neo flow? Thanks
Yup

Lily pipes are a great invention for aquarists though
Ryo, are you related to Chef Sushi bae (Takayoshi)? Is he you uncle or cousin, brother, father ECT?
Lo estaba esperandocomo nunca
can u show a beautiful fish store in Japan....
Hai dude... How r u...?
Japanes i love the sound of voice ehat the heck my dream accounting i supper duper love it oh and i love the anime too😍😍
Huh?
Wouldn't the metal spring scratch the clear lily pipes?

@@RyoWatanabee nice! I will use lily pipes on any future nano builds 😊 Thanks for the video. Very helpful!
For a few seconds i thought i was on a different channel. 😀😅
what is Lily pipes used for?
Gives a gentle and even flow of water throughout the tank. Perfect for plants as the water circulation is not too strong and not too weak
@@RyoWatanabee thanks bro!
plants name ???
Japanese 😍😍😍 I love the sound of it 😁
literally bought one yesterday.... broke it 5 mins in.... damn nano tanks lol
👍👍👍
Nice...👍👍👍🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹...

Bet ADA sales goes up during winter... 😆😆
Haha 😂
I only run sponge and HOBs idk why I'm watching this 😂
👌👌👌👍👍
Subarashi.
Your inline diffuser is upside down
Did ADA finnaly sponsor?xD
Sry i. Just curious but i cant stop laughing
Only thing worse than breaking a set of lily pipes is cutting your hand while doing it...
Yes, please be very careful with glass lily pipes. They can really hurt you if not handled properly
How tall is the aquarium? Seems like a tall 60p
It’s a regular 60p. Also known as standard aquarium here in japan.
60x30x36cm
@@RyoWatanabee well me thinking it was a tall one shows your skill in scaping then, well done man
EHEIM YOU OKAY
You should break a lily pipe on purpose, to see where its limit is. Like clean it more and more roughly and carelessly until you find out.

Hes on the glass pipe
Still don't know what a lilly pipe is for.
Too late i broke mine already
woW
Maybe too much No3 in your aquarium, the plants that should be red are very greem and growing like crazy.
i have the same pipe ... so good to know...i run the page aquarium_king on instagram
Sorry to be rude, but I think the colour rendition of your tank light is awful!
Japanese 😍😍😍 I love the sound of it 😁
