Seeing how the katana was designed to fit pretty much any situation, would it really be a crime to create a mixed playstyle? After all, T5 skills weren't intended to be DPS skills, but situational utility skills, as suzuki P mentioned. With the katana being such a flexible weapon, you could adjust your playstyle on the fly based on what you need at a given moment. So imo it's better to utilize both; especially for multi-phase bosses
the problem with divine rush is its so MP and AMPR and decoy reliant. If you have low AMPR, maintaining this rotation will be hard especially when the bosses moves a lot. 10ryu was a lot more efficient and versatile and easier mp managing. On top of that when Doing divine rush, you dont have any I frame apart from divine itself which can screw you up sometimes when you are in the middle of stacking. Yes, I know that we have zentai but iirc, you cant i frame a multiple hitting attacks like sharks and balls unlike a zannou does. The only reason ill use Divine rush is for bosses with low hp. Dont get me wrong, I dont have any grudge on divine clappers out there xD. I honestly love divine style myself too. Its like a cf (on crack) for Katanas.
I think tenryu playstyle is good for soloing boss specially when fighting against a high def and high hp boss (bosses that u can't kill under a minute) while divine is good for low def and low hp boss

Well mine is divine rush, but my ss is lv 10 and use smith to help deal more dmg. So i can pick sh and nightmare, also impact for sh impact combo and finale for closing all of my combo
If you actually make a build specialized in Divine, it might win or at the very least would be very close. Because all the physical pierce is wasted on the 100% pp Divine.
idk but i think tenryu style is good if you solo boss and fighting hard ass bosses with your mate though, divine rush can be so damn good if you just want that high damage fast. tenryu style us a lot more efficient with time.

Divine Rush is better IMO. I can just ignores any xtall or pierce equipment and slap any dmg increase. If u didn't use physical pierce, that results would be different. And 1mp 3 ktn skill with shadowless slash is possible

I also hav kunai prorate combo for long range (fighting against spike bosses) Kairiki>Kunai(swift) + Gsw3stk for mspd. Then do divine combo. Pls giv thoughts on this senpai

Yes~~ someone who understands, because at the end of the day it depends on the users way on utilizing the skill to its utmost usage limit.

Divine ignores 100% of enemy Def so I'd say it's better for high Def bosses

Try this combo for rush tenryu, kairiki>war cry *save>tenryu *swift. - flash blas> tenryu *swift - tenryu - gsw/kunai> tenryu *smith. --- reflex/impact> kasumi *swift|*save/smith> finale *smith/(kunai *cons for kasm *smith)

tried it before, I use full atk srd and unsheathe. Tenryu Spam was till better and faster. the DMG diff is not that high tbh.

when i tried it out (skipping physical pierce and focusing offensive power) my tenryu freestyle was still faster and more flexible

are you leaving kamisetsu on lv1 or maximize it?
Kasumi is better, specially at lvl 10. And you get more tenryu uptime, meaning you can spam more 4/4 tenryu leading to higher DPS.

Yep, you can do the good old meikyo>tenryu combo. Or if if you dont use Divine rush you can use Bouncing blade as opener

Is it even worth to combo tenryu? Compare 2mp with 150% dmg vs 1mp 100% dmg.

8 is enough. Because in the divine combo the combo opener is ss (gives 2 stacks already).

Well u can, though smited 4/4 is the best. If you spam it on 1 tenryu stack it deals little DMG. For the same MP amount, kunai tenryu might be better
