- Welcome to my Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC | All Trinket Locations video. Covering the locations of the Hawk Talon Trinket, Cat Eye Trinket, Shark Tooth Trinket and Turtle Shell Trinket, all of which were added as an update for RDR2 story mode. The Crow Beak Trinket can only be collected as a part of The Elemental Trail Treasure Hunt (full guide linked below)
This is a continuation of my series covering the Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC for story mode. The RDR2 update was released on PC in November 2019 and for PS4 + Xbox a couple of months later. These RDR2 trinkets are pretty useful, the benefits to the player are:
Hawk Talon Trinket: Decreases Stamina drain by 30% when drawing a bow
Cat Eye Trinket: Increases the duration of Fortifying tonic effects by 20%
Shark Tooth Trinket: Increases horse bonding experience by 10%
Turtle Shell Trinket: Permanently increases health refill speed by 10%
Crow Beak Trinket: Increases looted ammo by 10%

Now that I looked these have got to be the ones I been missing. My compendium is almost 100% just have challenges left an I hope that eats up the percent I have left. I’m at 96.8. It’s driving me crazy lol.

Yeah they only got added about a year after the game originally released, and weren't heavily advertised, so a lot of people don't know about them. Enjoy!
You should go for platinum its a grind for sure but it let's you discover alot of things in this wonderful game

I was on my way to get the shark tooth trinket and I fell into the water, losing an Arabian horse and loads of perfect pelts

Getting all these and legendary animal trinkets will make John or Arthur turn into a god.

When you mean they came to consoles do you mean ps4 and Xbox or just ps4.
PS4 and Xbox got the update. PS4 got it about a month early but both consoles have had it since January this year.

They were added to the original game later in a dlc.
How do you use the trinkets?
Once you acquire them the effects will automatically (and permanently) be applied.
Finally someone made a video with these locations. I've been trying to find one with them all in one vid but everyone seems to not and I just wanted to make sure there were no other trinkets.

Yeah they were added to the game about a year after release, a lot of players still dont know about them. Some of the best perks available as well imo.

What a game! Didn't think anything could top the souls series. Even bought a PS4 just to play Dark Souls 3. Didn't make it through when I got a copy of rdr2. Still haven't made it through Dark Souls 3. Once I slow down to the pace of the old west, I didn't want to go to any other environment. Simply amazing and thanks for the video
Couldn't agree more! I haven't stopped obsessing over RDR2 since I first picked it up in 2018. The world just feels so immersive and alive, even with 1000+ hours in story mode I'm still finding stuff I haven't seen before. Incredible game.

Are these available on story mode? My game is updated but I only see the old 13 trinkets at the Fence. Is there anything we need to do first to add these contents in the game? I have the standard edition of the game, the one around $48 USD. Thank you.
Yes theyre available in story mode, but are not craftable at the fence. You collect these trinkets from treasure chests and lock boxes around the map (locations shown in the video)

How do you get the dlc
As long as you keep your game updated the dlc trinkets will already be there, along with all the other dlc stuff (bounties, gang camps, guns etc)

If you think that del lobos was tough, you might not wanna ever play skyrim. Lol this game sucks, and nobody can hit anything. Super easy gameplay if it doesn't lag out or glitch and make you lose things randomly or cause your horse to randomly throw you into a tree. This game is exactly like gta where it forces you to do dumb things against your will and it tries its hardest to kill you in the dumbest ways possible. Seriously? TB? Come on dude! There's no way he dies from a weak thing like tuberculosis. Lol lame plots and dumb npc's. Byfar the absolute worst game I've ever played.

Thanks for this! I didn't have the patience to find my way along the cliffs for the Shark's Tooth Trinket - my horse swam a lot. I learned I couldn't give him a tonic in the water, but there are enough small places to land to give him the shot and some food.

What they couldn't just put them in the game at the start for the story mode. Keeping things like this out for dlc money is showing their true colors . GTA6 will be noting but dlc even the story , wait and see

These trinkets weren't available on release (1.00) you have to update your game to have access to them.

It was included for free with a game update released in late 2019. If your game files are up to date, you should already have access to the content.
These aren’t on the original game m, only DLC?
The DLC was a free download, as long as your game's updated the trinkets should be available.
The talon was not there for me.

Good news! I turns out it was actually in my satchel the whole time. I died because I forgot John couldn’t swim. And I thought I lost it.

The cattai trinket that is not DLC I found that on the island next Braithwaite manner so that is a lie I don't have DLC and I got it I'm the only person to ever get it on PS4 without DLC and without mods and then gives you 20% for when you take health tonics so make sure hair grow faster I got it bro you can get it or normal PS4 version of Red dead redemption 2 if you don't believe me go try brother it's really
Mate, you're very confused lol. The DLC content originally released for PC only in September 2019, then for all devices (including PS4) in December 2019. It isn't a paid add on, and was implemented free of charge during an automatic title update.

How you go to turtle shell trinket as Arthur
It can only be collected by John. Unless you somehow glitch your way into New Austin as Arthur.
Can you get these as John since he can’t swim?
Well it would only be first one he'd potentially have trouble with, and Im honestly not sure. I messed up getting onto that ledge, it can normally done in a couple seconds so maybe John could get in and out before dying.
Yes it's possible as John
After picking up the trinket, instead of trying to swim back save and make camp on the same ledge and it will set up outside the area.

It's John, it just looks a lot like Arthur because they share the same basic character model when playing in the epilogue.

I think those new trinkets are not available if you are playing the RDR2 version 1.00..i just try it myself and i didnt found any new trinkets like the shark tooth and the hawk talon trinket as well...may be if i update my game by onnecting to internet i will be able to obtain those..
Well yeah, additions like that require updates. Get your game up to the current version and they'll be there.

They're all easy, that doesn't preclude Gaptooth Breach from being the hardest of the available gang camps.

Absolutly amazing, i had no idea abou this. Does any of the other Trinkets go towards Full Health, Full Stamina and Full Dead Eye as it's required for 100%? I'm struggling to get them full even though of using the tonics and alike to boost it up.
Unfortunately the trinkets don't contribute to maxing out stats. I have a video that covers that in detail though, just search "rdr2 stats" on my channel and you should find it.

You’re most likely early in the game still, I am on chapter 2 and my stats maxed out at level 8, after looking it up I found out after a certain point in the game you will be able to max them to level 10

Yeah most trinkets you do, only the DLC trinkets and a few from the special/ultimate editions could be collected without crafting.

When I'm at Gaptooth Breach? That's John, their character models just look a lot alike, especially with that outfit/hair.

Wait a minute, what dlc????
It came as a result the PC version being released in late 2019. It brought new content such as bounty hunts, gang camps, new horses etc. About 3-4 months later the bonus content was released for consoles in a DLC game update.
So I can go get on my ps4 and copp the turtle shell trinket right now?
