Here is some info about the channel:
Greeting ghouls and ghosts! Our names are Jason and Kali, and we are the horror couple of your dreams- or nightmares! Jason has been a film nut for over 30 years, and Kali has a hyper-fixation with horror and slashers. Together we spend most of our waking life watching films and obsessing over them. We record movie reviews and discussions weekly, and love watching and talking about both lesser known and popular films in the horror genre. Occasionally we also review comic books, video games, television series, and novels. Additionally, we also enjoy making short horror videos. Thanks for checking out our channel, and if you like our content please subscribe!

I liked this but it left me sad more than anything. I liked the more "realistic" take on zombies.
So, maybe I'm a weirdo but I LOVED this one. XD First off, I made sure distractions were far from me and I immersed myself in the film totally: Kinda original, extremely heavy, creepy chilling imagery, interesting subtexts and I personally enjoyed the slow burn and artsiness of this movie.
'Bout to say something unexpected but this was one my favorites of this year, so far. But man is it emotionally heavy and a bummer of a movie...
That’s wonderful
I too love The Babadook
Haven't seen this yet myself, but I've been wanting to check it out. I read the book years ago and while I don't think it's one of his best, I'm still glad to see more of Lindqvist's work being brought to screen. He's a hell of a storyteller. Hoping we'll get a movie for "Little Star" at some point.
Didn’t know it was a book. Makes sense
Wow I was about to message you about this. I watched it last night. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Okay, this one has pretty decent/good reviews on IMDB and Letterbox (I mean, judging by how Horror movies are generally rated). And I do enjoy slow burn, so, maybe I'll give it a chance.
This might surprise you (since you said this movie was super slow): As someone who has read the novel this movie is based on, man, let me tell you, this movie was actually MEEEGA FAST... Like, It legit went 600 miles per hour. It skipped on soooo many things, events, interactions, etc. It was like Flash from comic books on steroids. The movie needed to be at least 2 hours long.
I still loved it though! My suggestion would be, MAYBE give it a second chance with Kali? This movie was really well made.
I agree with your opinions on slow-burn films. I will check out Handling The Undead. Vivid atmospheres can keep me engaged.
I liked the book that this is based on by the same author as Let The Right One In. But the book is just as slow and somber as you describe this movie to be
Was awaiting this for years! And it missed the mark! The novel is soooo much better and wtf! Why did the undead turn flesheaters in the end. Was NOT in the novel. Sorry but I'm still awaiting the true movie based on this awesome book
You might be waiting a long while on that
Have you seen 2016 Here Alone ?
I thought so, but I just watched some of the trailer and it looks familiar, but I’m not sure I watched it. I will say, though, this does look good.
@@sinistercinemareviews5420 sir it's outstanding 👏 .
what on earth does "artsy" mean?
Its a pretty common description. You'll grasp the meaning at some point, hopefully.
@@ttexastt So you don't know?

Hmmm, sounds like this is something up my alley. But I do prefer when I can empathize with the character or at least enjoy the character. Could go either way for me. I’ll have to give it a try.
First Reformed is like top 3 of the last 10 years for me x) gonna watch this one ahah
Just watched this, it's not bad.
Been looking forward to this one, gonna watch it on Sunday night
Interest piqued. I'll check it out for sure.
Pet Cemetery vibes from this flop.
