Met a nice guy named Dave at a Bruce concert 10 years back... I remember before the show started he told me Racing in the Street was one of his all time favs... and of course, like magic, the Boss played it that night. The dude had tears in his eyes he was so happy. Wonder where Dave is now...
This is such a beautiful rendition of a terrific song on a very special night in music history. Thank you for uploading this great piece of music from August 1978.
With the eyes of one who hates for just being born. I always thought he said who waits to be born. I stand corrected. His best song in my humble opinion
It was a different location back then. A little smaller. I was at this show, we got right up in front of the stage. Just mesmerizing. Saw so many great concerts there. It burned down in 1984, I think. And moved to it’s current location in 1986.
Una delle canzoni più belle d BRUCE. Testo struggente. Un capolavoro assoluto ancora oggi dopo 42 anni. GRAZIE BRUCE X TUTTI I SOGNI E LE EMOZIONI CHE CI HAI DONATO. GRAZIE ESTREET BAND. GRAZIE BLOOD BROTHERS
From one of my favorite 💖albuns from Bruce, "Darkness On The Edge of Town". Feel very emotional, because the problematic times we are living in.😢Another song, that is many times in my mind, is "Factory". I also see my father's life in it.😢💓
One of my all-time favourite songs but so desperately sad. This and Thunder Road have an incredible starkness that is up there with Neil Young's Thrasher when it comes to depicting the sadness and perceived loss of a generation It always works best live with the best version (IMHO, Bruce may not agree but I hope he does) being the one on Live 75-85.
Best Version EVER !!!!!!!. To bad bruce is a communist. Oh well as they say don't make artists your heroes. Thanks for one of the great songs written. I wish I could go back to the times this was performed in Cleveland when I was a teenager racing down on Quigley ave chasing girls when times were simpler (I wish the younger people could have experienced it). Love your mothers and fathers respect your elders and be kind to others. Lt. WJB 1st Team - Saddles , Stetsons & Swords ! HOOAH !

I go back and forth, depending on my mood, on which is my favorite Bruce album. Today, i think it will be Darkness.... :)
aLWAYS! second River & ThE Wild.
As good as the best álbum ever in rock
Haha, I know, it’s not easy to pick one. Darkness is his darkest and most relevant for me.

Y esa noche, fue la noche, de los que te escuchamos, esos acordes entre ar.onica y piano......sweet, alway. Long Life for you..
With the eyes of one who hates for just being born. That is one depressing line. This is Bruce’s most heart wrenching song ever.

I can’t imagine Bruce at the Agora. What an amazing place to see shows. I love going there and it would have been amazing.
