The Bestway® 800 gal Flowcear™ Sand Filter is a highly efficient and environmentally friendly way to keep clean water flowing through your above ground pool. It’s also far more cost effective than running a traditional filter pump system as the pump uses silica sand instead of a filter cartridge. Nice video, I have the 3m diameter pool, similar to yours with the supplied pump. It works ok but the flowrate is rather low and I need to clean the filter daily. I'm sure the sand filter moves a lot more water and does a better job keeping the pool clean.

Plumbers tape would stop that leaking. Wrap it around 2 to 3 times around each thread before screwing the fittings in and there should be zero dripping. I did it with my other similar pump. Anyways, good video. I'm buying one of these in moments on Amazon. In my cart, but I wanted to make sure the hose size was similar to my pool before pulling the trigger.

Hey thx for the video! Do you know why pressure is quite low (although everything seems to be working). Pressure is below 0.2 psi and its hard to clean the pool as the sucking thing (vacuum cleaner) is slow and sluggish.

I just order a 3028/L sandfilterpump. Dot know if i should use sand or Filterballs.
I have used only sand so far and haven’t yet tried the filter balls. Whichever one you pick, let me know. Have a great summer with the new pool 😎

ool brand. the pump came with hose that dont match the supplied intake ooutflow. hose is to big these were supplied by bestway. do youe know of an adapter. bestway customer support no help
Hi, my intex 604 impeller and shaft broke. Had an smaler pump (half size) laying around that's in use for now.
Anyway i see this pump in a lokal store a few days ago and i'm thinking to get me one.
But i dont know how its driven, is it same magnet driven shitty plastic rotor-impeller with ceramic shaft thats are in the cheaper pumps ?
Or is it a real motor whit propeller?
Hey, thank you so much for this video. It really really helped me today. I have a question that maybe you can answer for me. This pump plug doesn’t seem to have a timer system like my plug did with the best way pool that I bought. Now that pump was a terrible little pump and it died after one summer so that’s why I bought this one. But, because it does not have a timer on it, should I take that as it should run all the time? Should I leave it on 24/7?
I usually run my pump for a few hours a day. No timer , just an on/off switch.
On days when I add chlorine I might let it run overnight
Hello I’m hoping you see this and can help me, I’m needing new flanges on my pump and need the model number on the flanges that seal the pump or possibly the size of it to replace it. Was given to me so I don’t have them or instruction to loom I’ve tried looking on like no luck so please if you would it’s this exact pump 800 gal.

Hey thanks a bunch! Ya I have the same pool. The pump is kinda big for that pool but it keeps it super clean and I only run it for a few hours.
I might buy a larger pool next year and I reckon I can continue to use the same pump😄
Thanks for the video. I'm planning to upgrade from the cartridge filter pump to this one. One of my complaints with my current pump is the noise. How is the noise from this sand filter pump compared to your previous one?

I noticed right away the the sand filter was marginally more quiet.
Remember though there is alway going to be some noise. Perhaps you could try and run the filter pump at times when it won’t bother you.

If you want to run an automatic pool hoover off it dont get it and the flow rate isnt enough

im looking to upgrade the normal pump that is on my bestway pool to a sand filter. 2 questions - 1 how do you calculate what size and model you need and 2 how is the sand filter is it any good?
You want a filter that has a flow rate capable of circulating the entire volume of your pool at least once a day.

Hi and thanks for the vid. It's been 11 months so how is that pump holding out, I see at the end a little water dripping out from the hose. I am hoping to use this pump or one like it for our wood fired Hot tub after the water has cooled a bit LOL. Only issue is I will need to hang the hoses over the edge and weigh them down a little. So I just set it all up last week and it works well. Some small leakage but nothing major. I put fresh filter sand in it.
Holds good pressure and all the functions are operating.
Second season starting and I’m happy !

After I made that video I actually went back and tightened all the fittings. That stopped the water. I just published the video before I fixed it 😅
HOW DO U CLEAN THE FILTER BRO
There is a backwash function with the orange handle on top. That’ll suck water from the pool and wash through the sand in the pump. Then spit it out in the garden.
I backwash about once a week
It seems to just leak everywhere in the video. Did you get that fixed? I'm looking to buy one but it doesn't look very high quality
Ya I got everything tightened up and there are no more leaks. I had a long day making that video while doing the pool work and I never got shots of pump after it was all tightened up.

Здравствуйте.подскажите пожалуйста.купил такой же фильтр.при первом запуске при промывке песка вилился песок примерно 1,5-2 кг.засыпал по отметке максимум.теперь песка меньше минимума.пробовал добавлять,все равно выплевывает столько же.в чем может быть проблема?или так и должно быть?
Perhaps the size of sand grains you are using are different than the recommended size.

@@DriventoTravel спасибо.да,дело было в песке.заказывал 0,4-0,8 но пришел 0,05-0,3.обманул продавец.заменил песок на правильную фракцию.все хорошо.🤝
How big is your pool? I need a different t pump for mine
Just got this filter, says it's good for pools up to 4800 gallons! Mine is about 3000 gallons
FYI
You only change the sand once every 3-5yrs….just be sure you backwash and rinse it once a week if u use ur pool a lot but if not then every two weeks. Also just unhook the pump and store it inside during winter and you’ll be fine.

Ja , well spotted! It was leaking from all the parts that we’re screwed together. I went back the next day and re-torqued all connections.

@@DriventoTravel yes installed no leaks your video made the bad little instructions easy to understand. Also I wish they’d add a few more pounds to the actual pool price (replacing my old one liner gone). It’s a pump vacuum runs the thing that came was rubbish really.
Mines leaking from port A, same as in the end of your video. Can't seem to get it to stop. Any tips?
