Hello Rajat, You paid tuition fees through your instarem account and then 6lac 90 thousand for blocked account as well and left blocked amount through your father's instarem. So here doesn't it charged you 5% tax as you crossed 7lac limit? Also, what if instarem process is delayed or failed, do they refund money? Is it reliable ?
For me Instarem was reliable. It was slower than Western Union, as Instarem took around 2-4 business days for me to transfer money. But it guarantees exact amount transfer.
And yes, I planned my payments in a way that I don't exceed 7 lakh per pan card to save 5% on all amount I paid over 7 lakh.
Do we need to upload any additional document like how they asked you while transferring money from Instarem to Expatrio Blocked Accout?
Yes they may need a proof of education related transaction. So they will accordingly ask for needed docs on case to case basis.

Blocked account is also needed for Jobseeker visa. The amount and duration are slightly different in both cases.

Admission certificate or enrollment letter should be enough... They will mention in an email the list of document or example of documents that you can attach as supporting document...

Blocked account and Tution fee should be paid before visa appointment date and all needed documents regarding same should be ready...

No. Instarem account name and the associated back account name should be same. So instarem account should be in ur father's name. But u can still send money to ur uni using it.
Western union was charging lower money than instarem, why didnt u go with wu?
Because Western union doesn't guarantee the exact amount will be received by recipient, they infact mention that additional transfer charge can be deducted... Whereas Instarem guarantee exact amount... So just to save small amount I didn't want to risk my transaction getting cancelled by Uni, and it can delay the admission process and impact Visa process, plus it can complicate the 5% tax limit as well, because while filling ITR extra proof may be needed to show if transaction gets cancelled... Uni need exact amount shared, else it is hard for them to track, 1000s of students send money to the same uni account...

You can try to convince by showing official German embassy documents that these funds are needed for student visa, means needed for studies in Germany. If still you cannot find bank to approved loan for blocked account then to contact with any student that know who has take such loan and reach out to that bank/branch. Also there is one organisation called “we make scholars” or more similar, which can help in given list of bank or companies who may be willing to give loan.

Hey bro! I did the same thing yesterday. I paid on Friday after 5pm and now I'm supposed to be done with Verification by Sunday which is not possible.

Get verification done after 10am Monday and they will clear and mail you details for the same.

I want to transfer money from my indian account to my Landlord's German Bank account to transfer rental money. I found Western Union is cheaper amongst all. But when I started with the process there they are asking for a transfer reason and I could see only one option in the drop-down list "Education fees". Can you tell me how to do this transaction? It will be really helpfull
Yes, WU only allow Oversee education category for individual transfer technically, to avoid any scams or fraud, commonly seen in private 1on1 transactions. They operate on huge scale and don't verify individual transaction manually.
While Instarem/Wise may provide more relevant category options, acknowledge your transaction in right way, and may even have manual steps of verifying your transaction like ask you to upload some proof or id of recipient (which btw you must have anyway).
If you wish you can still proceed with WU by selecting Oversee Education as option, the transaction will still be done, receiver should still get the money, but WU won't take any responsibility if you are caught up in any fraud, like fake renters, because technically you were only allowed for education related transfer to individual recipients...

Uni should give the bank account detail - you may transfer using Western Union, Instarem, Wise like services, if you don't have education loan, else in case of loan bank may transfer directly to Uni's account...

What you suggest transfer from bank or other services ?
@@ramsheedc9156 I think Instarem allow 9k transaction in 1 go while Wester union and Wise have lesser limit, please check at their website, you can even initiate the payment and just test it, because processing of transferring money from your bank account to their bank account is separate process then initiating payment, after which you have 48 hours to complete transaction... And yes, you select transfer type as education purpose...
