As a Marine stationed on Okinawa Japan for 3 -1/2 years off and on from 81' till 86', I got the chance to see these cars racing and cruising around .Nice cars,very fast .I had a built TRD 1976 Toyota DOHC 2000 GTV Carina back then .Brought it to the states and pulled 18rg DOHC motor and tranny out and installed a built Mazda 13B bridge ported monster .After my completed build of the Carina with the 13B and supporting mods,mid to late 1990's I got the car to run the best of 10.77 et @ 128 mph .I miss that car as I miss the Okinawa car scene .
A pity that it lasted only 3 and a half minutes. I could watch such cars and hear such stories all day long. Thank you for this video, it was beautiful!

true, it was a Nismo factory option called the ZG nose.
That a Toyota 2000GT.. Its has history with Z car.
