I’m thinking about to buy an XT660 just to ride to work. I have around 30-35min to work and i think an XT would do great for this.

I have an 2010 Xt660x with akrapovic exhausts. I want to mention that its such an eco-fuel bike and a fact i like about it is that can climb stairs no matter how high they’re and such an easy bike to practice wheelies on it. What i dont like about is the handling on high speed turns also not stable on high speeds and the brakes get hot on hard rides still love that bike especially with big exhausts it pops and bang flames 🔥

what kpl/mpg are you getting?
@@itsshahsawaarDepends on the temperature. In the winter around 18 km/1l and in the summer 22 km/1l. Higher radius is posibble ofcourse. But it's hard to ride normal on it 🤣
Plan to buy it next year as a 1st bike right after I get a licence. I love its features. Reliable, partly motard-partly street bike with decent traveling potential and long service intervals. Still plenty decent pieces for a good price around.....And with custom sticker job it's sexy as fuck!!! You can also cut some appreciable weight with aftermarket 2v1 exhaust, different battery and wheels etc. I love customization so IMHO it is THE ONE for me. Can't wait...

Its probably the most reliable Supermoto you can get. I traveled across Europe on my 2005 model. Great machine and cool review.

I have had one for about a month.
Love it. It loves the city and bends/corners. Eats humps, bumps etc...
Does not like highways/motorways/big roads.

I've been debating on getting myself a Supermoto, and this confirmed my hopes. I'm planning to get an MZ Baghira/Mastiff shipped, and this motorcycle is almost a duplicate. Thanks!!
Having a supermoto is something I have never had but I've ridden a few, they sure are fun little things and perfect for commuting.

Had 3 of these bikes over the years and have just bought 2 more this week. Cracking fun go everywhere bikes. You must fix the fueling problem with the kev fuel mod and add a dna filter and that sorts out the low speed jerking. I have just put Leo Vince exhaust on and kevs fuel and o2 sensor mod and STAGE 1 AND 2 Filter kit on the bike. This lot will give you about an extra 8 to 10 bhp which makes a big difference to the power. Would not have one as my only bike but as a second bike they are cracking fun. I also ride a tiger 800 and a cbr929

It's a popular loander bike and for a good reason - it's simple and durable. I've rented it couple of times on my travels and really liked riding it. Even though the last time the loander had some super-cheap plasticky tires on that felt like they were constantly flat so I felt like slipping and sliding even on tarmac.. Horrible things to ride at city speeds as right between 50-60 km/h they are really jerky and nervous..
Though I did test ride the last version to come to EU (I don't think they've updated the bike to match EU standards so I don't think it's sold here anymore) and it felt quite good. Had ABS as well. You should write down what year this particular one was as it looked quite old :D

Ich hatte die XT660X Supermotard Fabrikneu Model 2007 gekauft . Bin 3 Jahre mit ihr gefahren ( gleiche Farbe wie im Video, Grau) Im ganzen war ich eigentlich Recht zufrieden. Mich hat nur 2 Mal ziemlich unerwartet der Drehzahlbegrenzer fast vom Sattel gehauen. Hatte mich beim Überholen verschaltet und wurde echt unsanft auf meinen Fehler hingewiesen. Manchmal hätte ich mir etwas mehr als die 50 PS gewünscht, damals war sie zusammen mit KTM LC4 noch etwa In der selben Liga. Heute würde ich mir direkt eine Husqvarna Nuda oder Duc Hypermotard zulegen, aber damals habe ich mich gefreut dass ich für mein Geld ein zuverlässiges und einfach zu fahrendes SM mit gutem Handling bekommen habe. Ist zwar etwas gewichtig das Bike aber ideal zum Üben für Neuanfänger. In der Zeit bin ich den Pirelli Diablo auf der XT gefahren, hat sich gut angefühlt und die Angststreifen waren Ruck zuck abgenutzt. Xt660X ist Wirklich empfehlenswert, hätte gerne auch mal die Enduro XT660R ausprobiert aber hat sich irgendwie nie ergeben .Cooles Video, hab die XT660 wirklich sehr gerne gefahren ...

That fabric could looks like displaced exhaust wrap. Nice review! A fun bike and under-rated. With good Enduro tyres they are very capable and easy to ride off-road, light and good torque. A decent can reduces weight and makes them sound wicked.

@@Fordahord1 how does it sound? I had titanium arrow on my old ducati scrambler and it was very loud with baffles out =P
@@Darkvisor I'll upload a video on youtube. Ill let you know when I do it. I actually bought the arrows to quiet my bike down as my stock exhaust had no baffles. When you have an akra/arrow you can keep the baffles in and it still sounds good unlike the stock exhaust...

As I kept watching I liked the bike more and more. I cracked so hard. First the engine cuts off like that and then the exhaust situation right after. This last few days I was riding a Brixton Crossfire 500. Did you get your hands on one of these yet?

@@Darkvisor It’s a nice little fun bike that sounds pretty neat as well. It was a temporary bike from the workshop since the Ducati was there for some fine tuning.

Swapped my 2008 r6 for one, love it. i ride where ANPR speed cameras are on the roads. In dense London one does not need 155 mph when you cant do 31 lol

@@Darkvisor Welcome, I followed your idea of the exhaust removing the end, it sounds beefy now. You have the dive in the front like me, if you remove the top cap off your fork you can add in 30mm spacers which will help a lot in that dive when breaking.

You must be extremely strong I find my xt abit awkward and hard to manage at low speed/ slow traffic but once you get up to speed it’s very manageable I find the weight makes it hard to control if your doing a u turn and the sharp clutch abit awkward in slow moving traffic but I do enjoy it out on an open road where I can get it up to speed..ps mine fuel cuts aswell 😢😂

Hej funderar på en sån modell sett o läst att vissa tycker den är för lite hk i den. Vad tycker ni?
The XT suffers greatly in 3 main areas. Firstly the tiny snorkel air intake is under the seat and secondly the oem exhausts are heavy and strangled, thirdly the suspension is budget. Solutions are simple. DNA sell an excellent stage 2 air filter (and remove the snorkel) so the engine can get plenty or air. Secondly aftermarket exhausts plus remove the cat so u save weight and the bike can breath out. For the suspension fit some progressive springs front and rear, I fitted HyperPro and the handling is transformed, feels like a different bike!

What's the fuel consumption? I'm considering buying this bike, but only concerned about the fuel average.
You can google the number online. I don't know them for this bike. But bike like these are usually around 0.5 liters / 10 km

Har en likadan hoj och tydligen är det ett vanligt förekommande fenomen med encylindriga hojar. Dessutom går den ganska snålt original. Blir inget större problem med en powercommander eller något annat bränsle-mod :).

Jag måste erkänna att jag inte tyckte att motorstoppet var något stort problem, det kan helt enkelt vara smuts i bränslet eller dåligt/gammalt bränsle. Prova en bränslerengöringsprodukt som Redline S1 1 men dessa motorer, som XT500, är benägna att slå ut om de inte används mycket. Billig? Nej, väl underhållna kommer de att hålla för evigt.
Raising the idle slightly should fix it for the most part, according to the manual their idle is supposed to be around 1400-1600 which seems high but I guess it’s normal, don’t quote me on this though, it could also just be an issue with the ecu cause these bikes do have some jerkyness and surging
🙂 I've got a 2009 a great commute bike when I lived in the city , awesome fun bike in the country. XTX had fuel/air flow issues at low rpm's , engine would stop for instance when i pulled into a petrol station or once when I was going around a roundabout , I took the snorkel out got a Kev's fuel mod then stage 1&2 air filters from DNA smoothed everything out. It does surge a bit but nothing like it was.
I lucked out with a Metamule exhaust so i got the bashplate and have replaced the seat cover with a design from motok . The bike runs well , has good torque acceptable acceleration and is great fun to ride.☺☺☺
