What a nostalgic thing! I learned to ride on my dad's Shadow about 10 years ago.. It was a brand new bike back then. My dad still misses it as it was by far the most comfortable bike he has owned with the best handlebar placement. The only reason he swapped it was the lack of power at higher speeds... The shaft drive makes it a chill bike to own - no need to stress over the chain maintenance.
Yeah they sure are comfortable and nice. I might get one again if I can find a good one =) They aren't that expensive to buy either. They have a 1100 shadow aswell I think but I've never tried it. And after that we have the VTX1800 which felt almost exactly like the shadow but with more power.. Shaft drive is 👌 Thanks for watching buddy!
There’s just something about the bikes with speedo on the tank 😍 And also the fuel cap on the side instead of beign in the middle. Great video and not a bad sound on the Honda 👌
Yeah I like it too. Makes the handlebar area looks better. It sounded okey in lower speeds but once you got it up the wind took over. My old honda had straight pipes with loads of backfiring (which I loved) =P Thanks for watching
Dark Visor, thanks for letting me get to ride with you! I'm looking to get my first motorcycle endorsement asap after 30 wait, I think, from all I've heard-shadow 750 is a good "beginners/starter bike" for those of us who have not owned one before-I'm 60 as of last month and to me-500 to 750 cc's is the proper starting size for us "newbs""! Doug
The 750 shadow is, in my opinion, the best beginner cruiser bike. It’s not too strong nor weak and it feels enough heavy to get you used to larger bikes but not too heavy. I love the shadow and I think it will suit you just fine. :) Thanks for watching my video, please consider supporting me and my work by subscribing to my channel =)
Had my 2004 up to 165 and was still pulling for more but I don't think it will make the 180 mark on the speedo....needs a 6th gear. I find the bike a bit heavy for it's size. Nice bike though hard to replace with something equal or better for the price. I find wanting for more power at times but isn't that always the way...Great gas mileage. Seat is not good enough for long rides with my boney butt, needs a pad. Old school feelin bike. Nothing great, nothing bad, everything good.
I get comments like these all the time. I'm just 175cm so hard for me to know but thankfully benjamin helped out on this one! =) thanks for watching my video, please consider supporting me and my work by subscribing to my channel. =)
I've had a few VT750s, they are great bikes until you get on the freeway, buzz buzz at 70, even the 1100 ran outta breath. I prefer the VTX 1800. I ride a Stratoliner now.
Yeah they need a 6th gear. I did like 160 all the way home once on my old 750 and it was screaming all the way home! lol VTX1800 is also a nice bike. I have an old video where I ride one. Feels very similar to ride as the 750 (but with more power) thanks for watching
@@Darkvisor THANK YOU! I am thrilled to not be the only one who occasionally searches for a non-existent sixth gear. Please tell me more about the extra hole in the exhaust.
@@BuckFiddy5 It was just a simple hole drilled into the exhaust in the back. On this bikes exhaust at the back, there was two holes. and previous owner drilled a third round hole, just as a big, so it looked like this: ⚇ but with an extra hole under those two holes in the middle. kinda like a smiley face but without a mouth. passed the inspector/inspection so just a slight increase of sound

One of the best looking cruisers.

Hi! Do you think shadow 750 is also good for tall riders? I have 190 cm and I wonder if it would be comfortable?
You'd be a bit cramped.
