I recently bought this guitar and made some adjustments. Some fret ends were a little sharp and the action was a little high. So I done the following. Cleaned up the fret ends and polished the frets, after checking the neck I trimmed down the bridge saddle to lower the action. Replaced the strings to Martin 13/56 and adjusted the truss rod. The results and sound were incredible. I now have an acoustic that matches any T*ylor, M*rtin or G*bson at a fraction of the cost. The intonation is perfect and I normally tune the guitar in every 6 to 8 days.
I don't think it could ever match a Martin. Maybe one of the X series, one of the cheapest ones, but no way it matches even one of the Standard Series.
Your teachers playing is amazing! It actually reminds me of some Megadeth solos from their first 2 albums. Which explain a lot because Chris Poland was a jazz guy.
It had take me 30min to choose the Fender CD60 SCE (All Mahogany) ,,, i crazyness, i didn't need it, but fender all mahogany... 😀😀😀... cool.... i'm diying to receve «HER» at home
No man.... It's not slavery. Wood material are easily get and available in almost all area. About the manpower, they're well paid as standard labour here. Indonesia has a lower tax than european countries. Even with USD 2 you can get 3 times meal for a day. So it's not slavery, like you said.
I have had two fender cd60sce's and they both have a fret alignment issue that only gets worse. The second one came like that from the store and it's getting worse.I told them and they said it's because it is a cheap guitar and that I am at the level where i should upgrade to a $1,000 guitar. (Also, this guitar has a special feature where the fret board it rounded so it is easier to play. They call it an "Easy to play neck." I really like that about this guitar) I love this guitar but the fret alignment issue needs to go lol I am happy that you like this guitar!
i never had this problem with my cd-60sce mahogany, though i did have a low fret buzz issue but was an easy fix. I changed the saddle & nut to bone, put new elixar strings...fixed the action, intonation & adjusted the truss rod,. Now it plays like a higher end guitar...... what do you mean fret alignment? is that uneven fret spacing or frets sitting to high or to low?....the latter is very fixable but they should not come like that, cause while they are considered "entry level" guitars, @ $450 AUD you shouldn't get those problems for that price....sounds like those dic heads were just tryin' to up sell ya cause they get commission?!......what guitar are you playing now if at all?
My neighbor is a Blues Player who gigs a lot and uses that Ibanez. I love Ibanez Electrics however, I'm not impressed with the sound of that acoustic... it sounds too tinny. The Fender has a beautiful Rich Sound and it's my next guitar!

After all this time with this guitar, how do you fee about it? I feel like it’s too big (my right arm hurts after being held so high - but maybe it’s something I’ll get used to?).
Te recomiendo ir a probarla si tienes la posibilidad. La caoba para mí es bastante sonora y las notas suenan con mucho brillo. El abeto es un poco más seco y en mi opinión es más rockero. Y lo otro es el tamaño esta es dreadnought, yo la vendí porque al practicar sentado la posición me era un poco incomoda por el grosor de la guitarra. Me terminé comprando una Martin Mini GS de caoba, que es más pequeña y bastante sonora. Claro cuesta el triple.

Intonation issues can be fixed,unless frets are not spaced properly on the neck?...si
