How are you developing your passion and/or the passion of your children?
I think I’m going to watch this multiple times! I learned so much! Shawn and Andrew you were right they brought so much wisdom!
I loved how they said we know our children are privileged but we want them to have the ability to just be children.
I feel like that’s so beautiful and I’m sure it’s so hard to raise kids who aren’t overly aware of what’s going on in the media, the world, and all the negative energy but it’s such an amazing blessing to have parents who want that for you!
This conversation is so important and thank you all fo having it. It makes me sad that we have to have this conversation. I want you know I love you and your kids for your heart and the people that you are. Please continue these heartfelt conversations. This is how we as humans no matter the location in this world, race, religion or political affiliation heal. Kindness, understanding, and love coming from Michigan.
I have a parent who is from Panama and people do comment when we we younger on how we pronounced it with the accent, but that is the way it was presented to us.
Such a great episode! Aloe and Maya bring such great ideas and thoughts and points of view! Very enlightening and thought-provoking!
This discussion was so refreshing I learn so much thanks Shawn and Andrew another great one
The best one so far. Thank you for sharing!

Awesome work. Love the insight
I'm excited to watch this one! Wasn't expecting it at all.
We hope you LOVE it!
So...so good!
wow amazing couple👏
Maya, I think bout this a lot wen listening to a song. I always take the lyrics so literally. It is so easy to assume that the words an artist sings is coming straight out of their own mind, their own experiences, their own life. I think yeah right that didn't happen to him or I can't believe she went thru tha!?!
I hav to consciously remind myself that not all artists write all or even some of their own songs. & then even if they did write the song it cud just b a fictional story they were inspired to write.
fame & artistic expression can be a deceiving thing to the public
❤💙🖤this couple's parenting philosophy!
yor thoughts about screen time especially for young kuds so informative!!
I see both sides of their views on imparting 🎶 on the kids.
How Aloe put it made total sense to me. Maya rn't u glad u hav that piano background given yor career in music? even tho u hated having to practice don't U want yor kids to hav a base in piano? I just always thought that was a real+ if the kids do end up pursing the music industry in any form?
(edited: I relistened to Maya on the music subj & I lean towards her more now. cause she said find their passions & nurture that so if they giv piano A TRY & its def not for them I think its good to not force them 2 practice that much if they hav many other interests)
Maya, I totally agree that is kinda disgusting how companies market to children especially young children. The thought that they want to interrupt parenting is so malicious & hypocritical wen brands many times advertise & tout all the ways they want to "help" parents
Aloe wen u talked about prisons for profit I got instantly nauseous.
How can people intentionally want those outcomes? Wat misery they must hav in their own lives to be so callous
