- I (Scotty Cranmer) had a terrible crash riding my BMX bike that resulted with spinal cord injury that left my body permanently partially paralyzed but I am lucky enough to still be able to ride my bike and today I met with Dakota Gillettt who is another BMX rider that has a very similar injury to me that also still rides his BMX bike! We sit down and talk to Dad about his injury and we also show you his skills riding his local skatepark!

your favorite paralyzed bmx rider's favorite paralyzed bmx rider
This guy waited almost 8 years to meet Scotty and now he even gets the spotlight on the channel. He‘ll never forget this!
This was a pretty dope video. I know this might be a challenge for you both but you two should play a game of BIKE? Think it'd be legendary to see you be able to join a game of BIKE again much love bro ❤️🔥❤️🔥
that would be epic.. imagine if there was a paralyzed x-games in the future
Do a game of bike with u to
I agree
It would make history
As much as I’d love this I think Scotty has too much ptsd from his crash getting in the way and unfortunately has not gotten as good as this guy but still absolutely respect Scotty he has killed it to do what he has and needs to prove nothing to anyone
This guy is truly a beast, and my friend. He always supports my rideouts and jams and always ride street with me and our friends, Much love Dakota ❤️👊🏽
Hi, my name is George and I have Cerebral palsy, Basically brain damage at birth. I do wcmx ( wheelchair motocross) I take my wheelchair to the skatepark. I am Glad you compared disabilities because I am fed up When people compare us to each other even though our disabilities are differand, people think we can do tricks like jumping on rails when we can't. I also struggle to get out of bowls, And up some ramps. My disability Affects my upper body as well as my bottom half. My right ankle turns in as well. Sometimes when I go and do droppings my arms don't physically move. So I push off sideways Causing me to crash.
If you ever want to have a go, just let me know. I live in the UK ( North Wales) Thank you for sharing awareness about adaptive skating.
Please read this ☝️
I have two you tube accounts 😂
Scotty, you're such a G
You are too, Dakota. Anyone still pushing after something like that has my utmost respect and, in my eyes, is a true legend.
Older ex BMX with the same limitations......love this.
What exactly do you love?

Props to both of you guys. I love how the bmx community always embraces each other no matter what. It's all for the love of riding.
You both are an inspiration, being paralyzed to where you both are now. Can't slow down.
Wow.. you have changed this man's life Scotty.. both inspirational stories
Thank you Scotty for showing Dakota some love on the channel! Both of you have inspirational stories that need to be heard! ❤️
Scotty, best video ever! The way he lit up when you said that you look up to him. Man that was so genuine and pure. I love it man.
Thank you both for sharing your stories together. Such a great connection. I hope to see more of you together.
That is my homie !!! Dakota Gillett people ! He has been nothing but motivational and uplifting no matter the situation ! Much love - from Ohio
As someone who was watching this channel in 2015-2016 it is so crazy how far you've come Scotty. It really doesn't feel like it was nearly 8 years ago already. Still breaks my heart but you just keep on trucking. You are so so so freaking inspiring dude. Literally one of the most badass people I've ever seen. I hope one day to be half as tough and positive as you are
Yall made me smile so much just watching the video. You guys are such an inspiration!
Dakota is such a cool dude !🎉 he’s always down to just ride and shred
Holy crap, you were here!?!?!?!? I had no idea a rider like Dakota was a local. Props to him, hope to shake his hand one day
This is really cool. I can only imagine meeting an "idol" and having the excitement/inspiration being returned equally!
I'm sorry that I haven't been watching your videos much anymore. I work lots now that as I have grown. But I have to say this I really relate to you too guys not much physically but mentally suffer with schizophrenia, so I know what you guys are going through is very tough for you guys, but you guys work hard everyday to get where you want to be. same as for me, I have to think positive and find different mood strategies to get better for myself to think better and be stronger everyday as I go but as for you it's a very different because you guys a physically hurt no offense I'm mentally hurt so I feel like I can relate a lil bit I do take my medication daily to prevent having episodes or whatever it is maybe, feeling sick but it's about what we've become in the past few years we got this no matter what comes our way keep up the good work guys. We are fuckin troopers don't let them get us down. Here's a lil saying my step dad says don't let the small shit bug you, love you guys n keep bmxing I also have one too !
scotty, you need some of those acoustic panels for that room you're doing interviews in. very echo'y
What a nice guy! I think it is so cool that he sticks to his passion and still pushes his limits on the bmx! And thank you scotty for sharing his story with us!
Get that man some C.S.D murch! Hes what its all about . Great job dude youre absolutly smashing it
You guys should look into Matt Gillman's Blind Bike Trials and see the direction he has gone with being blind and returning to trials. The two of you have similar hurdles and are looking beyond those brilliantly! Keep it going and stay strong.
I’m cleaning my UA-cam and keeping this subscription. The reason: brain injury. I’ve had one and that’s why I subscribed, I ride bikes, have a couple bmx. Mostly mountain and motorcycles that run on GAS. Recovering myself when I seen Scotty and his injuries, he was an inspiration to me.
Scotty, remember the time that you briefly forgot that you were paralyzed and aired over the box jump? Lol! He does that all the time!
2 legends sitting at 1 table talking bmx. what do you want more. Shout out to you Dak!
This is what I needed to start the day on a positive note! Much love Scottie!

“You’ve inspire a guy that inspires a lot of people” which is true, but get off your high horse Scotty…. Jeeeeez usssss.

This is amazing!
Great video, lads!
Intresting vid...you guys are both beasts. 👍
I have seen multiple comments saying and asking for the same thing, a game of BIKE! please ride safe and responsible everyone.
Keep up you both 😊
I see a good friendship coming out of this.... Scotty should put together a Broken BMX crew. I know I'd try to throw my name in the hat because I have nerve damage from lymphedema that caused me to not be able to ride anymore.... I'm not paralyzed but I was for 3 years when I had stage 4 lymphedema in both legs and I couldn't walk so I know exactly how this feels. Even to this day I still have trouble walking because my toes will drag because my ankles are weird and I'll trip.... Not a fun situation to have to look at your feet when you walk so you don't fall. 😅
Thank you guys 🙏
What a dude. Game of BIKE to beat all games.
This dude just gave me a triple helicopter slap of motivation straight to the face. Damn I'm lazy
He'll yeah. The love for bmx. We always come crawling back
That's why you're so important to the BMX community Scotty, you bring people to your channel that you have inspired and in turn, they inspire you. Dakota is pulling stuff off that I dream of. It's so cool. Great video. Keep doing what you're doing Scotty because you keep us all motivated and wanting to have fun. Legend. 😎👍

July 4th 2000 A day I'll 𝙉𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙍 forget and trust me I've tried. That day forever changed my life and 𝙉𝙊𝙏 in a positive way, but then I realize I'm lucky to be alive nvm able to walk and do things I do especially after being told I couldn't do this or couldn't risk doing that. Definitely affects everyone slightly different.
Awesome! Eat organic, avoid chemicals and keep on riding!
Scotty you're a fucking legend!
I WISH for your positivity....unfortunately I live in a country full of....
Seeing you hit the concrete is so painfull to watch. Ouch.
