Events get hosted there all the time by other organizations that don’t require a membership, but if you want to race there all the time then it would be something to consider.
"Worth it" is a relative term. If you are on tight budget or only plan on driving occasionally, then no, there are better options. But if you can spare the change and are going to drive often and take advantage of the social aspect, then you will enjoy your investment. The amount of seat time you can get is unrivaled and if you want to become a racer quickly, this is probably the best way to start.
