Great video! I have that fightstick and I want to change its restrictor to a circular model. Is it hard to replace it? Do you know the model of the joystick? Is it a Sanwa JLF -TP-8YT?
You know whats fucking insane? I just got mine today and I was looking for a tutorial on how to install it! Question though, did yours come with a grey circle gear looking thing? With 4 little spinny gears inside? They are more like cylindars with arrows that almost resemble tires!
Somehow I got this stick and it is the first one I have, but something happens to me, and it is that I usually play quite well and manage to perform some combos but I can't on this stick, I feel useless playing with it, I don't know if that's why I am not used to its short lever or it is necessary to make some modification to the lever so that it marks the movements well. I want to use it for The King of Fighter but I cannot mark the movements well, any ideas?
What kind of levers do you usually play quite well on? The lever in this stick is a standard Sanwa JLF, but it's possible the one you have is used and doesn't work as well as it used to. It will be hard to diagnose the problem without more knowledge. You could try just buying a brand new Sanwa lever and replacing it entirely.
I have the same problem. I think it is because of the square restrictor beneath the joystick. I will try to change mine's to a circular resctrictor. I just can't play TKOF well, all combos fail.
I just bought the same stick used. It will only work on Xbox 360/PS3/PC out of the box depending on what version of it you get. You can either get a Mayflash Magic NS2 or NS Pro adapter and plug the stick into it and then into your retro pie which is the cheaper option, or install the Brooks Universal Fighting board or compatible PCB to have the stick compatible with everything (except native PS5 which requires needs a separate attachment). I plan on doing the latter but for now I'm cleaning up the stick, installing new buttons, and cleaning up the case.
