Health visa 🙄... let's call it what it is. Another asinine way to get money out of tourists visa. Such a joke
Absolute truth!
Well, Clay and Stephanie, you guys know I don't have a boat and probably ain't going to the Bahamas any time soon, but I would be really upset if I missed a great video, nice job Clay, very informative, thank you 👍🙏❤️😎🛥️🏝️
New guidelines have been released. As of June 19th, 2022, you are not required to have a travel visa. Also, if you are vaccinated, you do not need a COVID test. Hope this helps.
I've always wanted to travel like that! What size boat would you recommend for a trip like that minimum!?... Tks
Clay: FANTASTIC video! You recently helped me thru a blind email I sent to you about tips for traveling down thru the Florida Keys. You didn’t have to do that, but you did (selflessly). I have been wanting to learn up on how best to cross to the Bahamas and this video hit 99% of the info I was in search of background information. Awesome job.
👍👍👍👍 the travel visa is $40 if your vaccinated and $60 if your not . Same thing happened to us last month
Thank you Clay, we are flying to Bahamas this week and your video had very good information!
How about the return trip back and Clearing back into the US
Thanks for the info Clay !!! My wife and I just made our first crossing with a large group of Robalo boat owners. Your tips were spot on. It was a fantastic trip ! Greatly appreciate you and Steph sharing so much of your boating world !!!
You’re very welcome Doug we’re so glad to help everybody out!
Great video. Only thing I would add is the checking in with customs when you get back in the U.S using the CBP app.
Great video, thank you! We're moving to FL in 3 years once our daughter finishes high school. I am sooooo looking forward to fishing and boating.
There are facebook groups for crossing to the Bahamas. People share updated customs/weather info and get to together for crossings as a group. Perhaps useful for first timers or people with smaller boats.
Yeah, ya missed ONE thing Clay. Taking me and my wife with ya!
LOL
Thanks for another great and informative video 😀
Is there anything you have to do when coming back from the Bahamas? Do you have to check back in somewhere or call someone to say "hey, I'm back in the States"?
Another great video as always Clay! Extremely informative! Something I hope I can do one day.
This is great info! Thanks for the awesome video!
What is the minimal size boat that is safe to cross to the bahamas? Any special features it must have?
Have everything you listed but a 39 contender and 500 gallons of fuel…
Thanks for the info! I did not know about checking out of customs and the need to fly a courtesy flag!
Glad to help Dean!
You getting lazy lately just kidding man I love your Channel God bless you and God bless. Beautiful wife that you have I love her attitude
Weather - Another reason to not pre-purchase your cruising permit. Once you own it you own it. Buy it once your there!
That's great info Clay! I might never make it to the Bahamas, but should the opportunity arise to do so, it's nice to know what's expected and what to expect. I hope you and Stephanie enjoy your adventures this summer and I'll be watching for your posts in between fishing and camping here in Alberta! I wish you safe travels and may you always have following seas!!
Love all the videos you guys produce...such great content...keep up the good work!👍
Tip my cap to you Clay and Stephanie, it makes me much less apprehensive because I just feel like the odds of being in the ocean is already stacked against one self
I'm going for my first time June 18th for a week. I appreciate you making this video. It's super helpful!
Very informative video!! Thanks for sharing!! 👍👍
what boat license do you need for that boat and for travelling from USA to Bahamas? Thanks
Great information Clay. I know a lot has change with Covid 19 since our last jetski crossing to The Abaco’s in 2019. Can’t wait to get back to Bahamas, specially Bimini what a special place in our hearts. I know one thing we made sure to have was plenty of cash and smaller bills for tips. It also helped so you wasn’t always having so much Bahamian currency at the end of the stay. Great tip in regards to the pens, we usually took extra pens for sure and also gave/left them at the immigration & customs office for others have. Great content once again, thanks for sharing!
Billy D
Great Vid, very informative! Thank you and your sponsors! Be safe!
Are you allowed to have firearms on board? Do you need to disclose this when entering Bahamian waters?
Yes, just declare by entering the appropriate information regarding firearms and ammo on the customs forms.
You would think the people of the islands would know where their money comes from. When they make it easier to make the trip, we will make the trip.
Man it would be sweet to have a sea worthy boat to make it across there but I doubt my bass boat gonna make that trip…good info my man keep it up guys
If you were trolling while sailing between florida and bahamas - what lure and line weight would you use for a simple rig to catch mahi and tuna
I just came across your videos and I can’t stop watching. What is your favorite fish to catch and favorite to eat
Nice video sharing👍
It's been 12 days between videos. Are you guys okay?
🔥🔥🔥 great video dude
Y’all feel in a hole or something . Been Three weeks and no new videos.
Awesome info video yall
Hello Clay,Thank you for the excellent vidéo. I know you are very busy , but I have a question for you. I bought a penn slammer 4 , 8500 Reel. Which rod would be the best for jigging and trolling whit my penn slammer 8500. Thank you very much and have a nice day. 🎣
Came here looking for nostalgic "Poopdad1 paintball videos", congrats on the change to fishing and boating looks like you've become very successful keep up the good work.
Awesome informational video, Planning to go this year. God Bless. PS: Love the Sunglasses is that also Avail?
Great info! Another piece of good information -- Clay needs some new flip flops!! ;-)
Haha thank you!
I need to know where Stephanie gets her swimwear!!!!! 🥰
What happen, are you two OK? Haven't heard from you in a while. We miss your videos. Hope all is well.
Hi Guys
I love you blog my wife love the cooking
Good luck with this project. .
hey everything ok ? no videos in awhile
This is very helpful and provides for very good content. You have a lot of subject matter living in the keys Boating at the level you do. These kind of videos will benefit us you viewers, “how to videos” will also be a benefit. Either way you and your wife are completely doing it!!!! Thank you
When leaving the Bahama's do you have to check in with U.S. customs anywhere before going home? Or are you guys allowed to go straight home?
Make a part 2 to this video and add in the different places that do have immigration and also how long does it take? how many miles ? Final cost per person?
Available length of stay? Best island for your needs?
Typical types of fishing?
I'm a landlubber In central US and been wanting to do this for years but never seemed to find all the answers this is the closest video I've ever seen
Thanks for all the information. I have not had the opportunity to cross to the Bahamas , but one day in the near future. Thanks for the videos I really enjoy them.
Clay and Stephanie, it has been awhile since your last video, I hope all is well, Love your vids
Yes, don't forget to clear out ! Might be trouble when you come back !
Thanks for making this video we plan on making the trip next year
Thank you so much for watching.
Great info for a total newb. How long does it take to cross over to the Bahamas on a boat like yours and where do you sleep...on the deck? Thanx much! Cheers from Denver Colorado!
So normally it takes about 3-4 hours depending which way you go. But really not too bad. When we get to the Bahamas normally we will stay in an air b & b.
@@LifeByTheBow thanx for the reply!
Can i come on the next trip!!! 🙋🏿♂️🙋🏿♂️🙋🏿♂️
Brand new to the channel, would love to see more of the immigration process when you check in!
Recommend you always travel with a satellite phone. I use the Inmarsat unit which is great!
Lost me at the first 1:10
Just happened to see this channel pop up in my feed. Definitely a favorite now!
Do you have 2 drain plugs!?!?!?!?
Just the fact that the first two minutes of a boating video has to do with covid testing and health passports is a sign of where this is all going man, smh
Great video man don’t plan on going to the Bahamas anytime soon but great information and well said
What a great virtual (meta) escape for folks out of town. Peace!
Fantastic video, very informative for first timers. Do you consult with newbies?
Hey Scott thanks so much! I don’t but send me an email I’m sure there’s something I could do.
@@LifeByTheBow ok, not sure I have your email. Preparing for Ian?
Do you guys help to cross to Bimini is the first time for me to cross the Bimini with my boat
Please let me know how much you guys charge to follow you to Bimini
I’m planning on first week of July
Infolifebythebow@
Thank you, very informative 👍.
Hi, I watch you channel all the time. I think it’s great. I wanted an opinion. So I bought a penn slammer 5500 like the one you have and I’m looking to buy the key largo rod i was wondering which you would recommend to match that reel?
Infolifebythebow@
Great info brother!!! Stay safe out there
Thanks Frank glad you could take away from!
Clay love your videos. Ive put a lot of stuff that you’ve mention in your videos in practice. However i would love to see you review a bulls bay boat since that is a pretty affordable boat for most of us and we would love to know how you think this boats will handle. Im talking about the 200cc and 230cc offshore ofcourse
Infolifebythebow@
Your logo looks like Angels and Airwaves band logo
I enjoying watching your video guys
Anybody know what brand/model sunglasses Clay's wearing here?
Costa Reeftons 👍🏼
Why bother with all that trouble, when the USA has way better fishing and much nicer accommodations
How much was the cruising and fishing permit ? Great video
Infolifebythebow@
Hey uh totally hypothetical question is this possible in a 15 foot G3 Jon boat?
only if your 15 footer is tied down to the swim deck of a 60' Viking
Well done, I sat thru the whole thing
Love it 😀 😍🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸
Great info.
Great channel.
We vacation in the Keys and rent a boat every time.
I started with zero ocean fishing experience. Thanks to your channel, I proudly announce I have learned the art of yellowtail.
Now on to mutton.
Keep the info rolling.
Thanks for your help.
For a person in central 🇺🇸 how about sharing some of the things that you learned please
@@jase1911 The importance of chumming, use of small yellowtail jigs and free lining the bait into the chum slick. Just to mention a few.
I had great results on my last trip.
Will be there in June hopeful on some muttons
❤️❤️❤️❤️🇮🇷🇮🇷🇮🇷🔥🔥🔥
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼💯
Goals!!
Stellar job of sharing all the intricacies of crossing over to the Bahamas safely and successfully. Life is full of surprises and most of them are bad, especially at sea. You are the bell weather fishing channel that takes the time to provide this information. Truly valuable Clay. Thanks!
👍🏼
On to 150k
Safe trip!!
What a pain in the bootie this all is. I LOVE your channel but, the more I watch, the more I’m glad I sold my boat lol..
GOOD VIDEO
GREAT INFORMATION FOR THE BOATING COMMUNITY 👍
