    Like most of what Bissell makes, it's only good for 10 second cleanup jobs for people that don't know what a paper towel is. Those pads are not at all absorbent for large messes without needing to be wringed out and rinsed between pickup. I can tell it's useless for that. HOWEVER, for waxing and buffing polish into your floor, (or drying the floor after a rinse before you wax it) I do think that is where this scrubber will be a benefit.

    I was nearly almost hypnotized when the pads got a spin with the machine upside down, I was just waiting for the 3, 2, 1 and you are asleep! 😁 Great demo once again Roger ❤

    ITS A PERFECT CLEANER TO CLEAN CLEAN FLOORS

    Thanks for this demo video Roger! It kind of reminds me of the old classic floor polishers we used to have in the 1960’s. I really think the Bissell Crosswave is better for washing dirty floors. This SpinWave might be better as a secondary floor care machine to buff floors to a nice clean shine.

    I have the cordless version of this machine. They do have a place in the floor care market. Great for your regular clean only. Lightweight to use, no need to lug the water and mop around, pads thrown in the washer to clean and very quiet to use. Can’t do the hard work though.

    Love your reviews, Roger!
    I own the Spinwave as well as the Crosswave. I find the Crosswave does a much better job at picking up dirt and leaving the floor clean. The Spinwave's microfiber pads get saturated much too quickly for heavily-soiled floors. Much like cleaning a big mess with any rag, you would have to rinse it and give another pass. You can take off the pads and rinse them and have another go, but nothing beats the Crosswave because it removes dirt rather than spreading it.
    The Spinwave still has its uses. It's great at scrubbing hard to remove dirt spots on the floor, like spilled sugary coffee spots. I usually use it for light cleaning, rinsing the pads after cleaning a whole room and before moving on to the next. A good rinse is often enough to make the pads effective again and after cleaning, they go into the wash.

      At least the dirt is spread evenly now.

    • @huskyvacs

      It's like the roombas that just spread the dirt deeper into your carpet and pull it around the room.

  • @kc5077

    Yes this is the weakness of the Spinwave it has a dirt and a water limit on the pads. However in the same way you would empty a dirty water tank or change your bucket of water you can change the pads as they fill up with dirt and water. So instead of going over the whole floor multiple times you can change the pads incrementally and go over the whole area once. I think the benefit is the Spinwave is quiet and cleanup is much shorter and easier than a vac-mop like the Crosswave. The corded Spinwave is cheaper than corded vac-mops and much cheaper than cordless vac-mops. So the Spinwave isn't perfect but it does have its uses and things that it's good at. I have a Spinwave and I'm able to do 4 rooms with one bottle of solution and one set of pads.

    I actually went out and bought the other bissell cleaner that you showed. When I first saw this I thought ; I want one of these now. Certainly don’t want one now. Thank you for doing these videos I always recommend you to people that are thinking of a certain hoover .
    I too have an expensive fascination for Hoovers , and yes have a collection in the loft 😂. People always ask me , how many hoovers do you have ? Well I’ve got one and two and …….

    I'm personally not a big fan of "powered mops" like this. It's basically just a glorified Swiffer Wet-Jet. They're okay for a daily quick clean but are really of no use for a good deep clean. I totally agree with you Roger, a suction cleaner the likes of a Hoover/Vax FloorMate are a much better option.

      Personally I think for hard floors nooks and crannies, you can’t beat a canister hoover ( pull along ones) and for carpet you most certainly need an upright hoover. Plugged in hoovers will always give a better result than a cordless

    Well, it's an interesting machine but I like using my Rainbow to clean floors as it has a mop system like that without the spinning pads, just one big static pad, solution pump and the added benefit of the extraction ability of the Rainbow canister. That static pad does need to be peeled off and rinsed every few minutes though but the Rainbow's airflow does give it that advantage of sucking it up again.

  • @retronostalgic8515

    The spinwave I would use mostly after using a normal mop, then also use it with liquid wood and tile polish for the final clean. Not for dirty mopping as was demonstrated in this video in the first instance.

  • @trinkets7777

    It doesn't rinse. That's the problem. The Bissel crosswave vacuums, mops and sucks the dirty water up. It's fantastic.

    Thumbs up for your new excellent presentation Roger, but HUGE THUMBS DOWN for this Bissell!
    The first negative is that it doesn’t actually pick up the dirt. It only moves it around. The second negative, and the real dealbreaker for me is that it does not rinse and remove the product. I hate the thought of that sticky cleansing solution sitting on the floor where my pet walk . For a thorough cleaning, the machine needs to have a Clearwater rinse in my opinion.
    Once again, thank you for your top-notch demonstration, but I think I’ll stay with the Bissell cross wave.

  • @henryclarke7045
    @henryclarke7045 6 місяців тому

    I think all of these types of "squirting-spinning pad mops" will have the same problem. Unless there is one that sucks up the dirty water...all they do is spread the dirty matter around (after what little can be absorbed on the initially clean pad).

  • @prowled
    @prowled 10 місяців тому +5

    yeah, that product has but one true purpose and that is to loosen very ingrown dirt. What it is doing for your demo is to just spread around the filth. This is half the machine it needs to be to properly clean.

      The point is that you can wash and reuse the pads. I bought a bunch of pads and replace them frequently. This thing is great, except for corners and tight places. I use a sponge mop for those.

    Your demo and review was for entertainment only. Its like taking your family with luggage to the airport on a bicycle, not a good choice for the task. If you had a household of 2 adults who does not wear their garden shoes inside, this could be a good fit. I like this floor cleaner because I know I don't want to spend time cleaning the inside of a filthy machine.

    I think this is quite a unfair video tbh
    For the amount of mud on the floor I would expect to have to change the pads at least 1 or 2 times
    Comparing it to a cross wave isn’t really comparable I can’t see many people using a cross wave daily where as this you would
