I will say that I'm probably stupid but I think I do have these tires on backwards. 😅 At first I thought the cups would dig into the mud and pack up. BUT after seeing how it performed in the swamp, I think I'm going to rotate my tires left to right so the cups will be used going forward. 🤔

I do believe you're right the cup faces forward! Curious to see how you like them compared to the bkt's! I've heard a lot of great reviews on the aztecs!

Yeah I had so much on my mind that I just lost it. But man I'm excited to see how well they perform too! Those BKTs are excellent tires, but when it came to loose material, like sand or watery swamp mud, it would just dig a hole to china!

I'm actually trying to decide between the bkt's and the aztecs for my polaris general! I'm pretty confident they are both great tires, the bkt's are more affordable but I think the aztecs will be a little better everywhere!

@@mattlynch2823 I mean, the BKTs I used them in southern swamp mud and up in the rocky mountains trail riding. They performed great, but as you know they are just pure tractor tires with 0% sidewall. So you are sliding on wet clay and rock. Not to mention the constant digging. The Az tex's, I seen them in person perform wonderfully, made a hole I struggled in look easy! But, I can't say for sure until I try them. So far, I love the design of the Aztex and im hoping to test them out soon!

@@WantedTrails thanks for sharing, you can't beat first hand knowledge! I think the aztecs are the way to go, I just wish they had more width choices!

@@mattlynch2823 I remembered your comment and I got to tell ya, I had a lot more fun riding with the Aztex rather than the BKTs. I even got more traction with similar obstacles from the past when I ran the BKTs. Trail riding wasn't bad with my setup, I pumped the air up to 8.5 PSI and they performed great on slick clay, soft sand, and thick mud. They are not a highway tire by any means, but neither are the BKTs. Honestly, if I had to rank them. I'd rank Aztex's #1 and than followed in #2 would be the BKTs. I'm really looking forward to getting up to the mountains to see how they perform on the rocky terrain up there! The only biggest downfall to me is that the 30x14 BKTs I have measure out to 30" with low PSI, while the 30x14 Aztexs measure to about 29" with low PSI...

I Wish the cleats were a little more aggressive for the floorboards

@@WantedTrails I’m sure you could buy aftermarket foot fleets and bolt’em on but for the price a tad bit dissapointing. Really like Lucky 7’s design but price is almost a grand to get it to where I am sadly

Wait until you hit that hole with the tires moved in the correct position, you’ll walk through in 2wd

I know you already had it off before you did the floorboards but is the guard on the inside of the front tires connected to the floorboards? Im asking because i was thinking about getting these but my winch solenoid is connected on the inside of this so i don't plan on removing it.

I'd love to help you out here but can you describe to me what guard you're referring to? I threw my winch solenoid inside the little storage flap on the left front fender (now it's also a cup holder). The floorboards just involve removing some floor frame brackets and the plastic steps. If you're talking about like the splash guard on the inside of the wheel protecting the engine; I didn't have it on mine when I bought it, but I don't see why you can't keep them on there. If I were you, I'd strip the bike down and take the step off and see if they will still hold in place without that plastic piece (either by the pins or some strong zipties). I hope this helped you a little bit?

    • @JohnnyRebLa

@@WantedTrails it's already gone from yours but it's on the inside of the back half of the front tire. I assume it keeps water from splashing on the engine. It's just a flat wall that goes from the fender down to the frame it's black not colored.

@@JohnnyRebLa Aight, I don't think the splash guards are connected to the floor boards. I do not recall seeing a spot on mine for them to be when they were removed. Not going to lie, I'm not entirely sure it's a great place for your solenoid to be mounted to but all that matters is that you like it there. With that said, if I were you, I would take the side plastics off which is just a few push in tabs and take a looksie before you decide yay or nay for the after market floorboards.
Due to me not having the splash guards mounted when I bought my 2021 TRX520FA7, I cannot accurately answer your question. But in regards to a question you may be asking yourself "is the floorboards worth it?" - Then yes, if you do a lot of hard riding or just want bigger tires.

The tires are 100% on backwards
