MicroBeast FBL Extreme Mode! + Test Flight!

- Setting my BeastX FBL to extreme mode! I'm trying to get more roll speed out of it so I can try to pull off faster and better tricks! This will work on any RC helicopter that's running MicroBeast Plus, I'm doing it on my Align Trex 550X Dominator!

I started flying 10 years ago, started flying coaxial helicopters and drones. I have tried rc cars, rc planes, rc helicopters and drones. But I really like rc helicopters more than anything else. In California i usted to go to the rc field and I was able to see the big expensive 3D helicopters flying in real life instead of video. That is how I how I started to flying coaxial helicopters. I started flying 3D helicopters 7 months ago and I am able to do some mild 3D. I love the rc helicopter hobby and I will be in this hobby for my whole life.
I agree 100% with you! I have tried a lot of RC stuff but by far my favorite is the RC helicopters!! I can't get enough of them! I've seen a couple 700 size flying around calmly in real life but I've never seen a bigger model doing amazing 3D in real life, only video. I bet it amazing to see and hear!! I also will be in RC helicopters my whole life now and I see no end in sight! Wonderful, amazing hobby! Thanks again! RC Helis For Life!!
I love your rc helicopter videos it is so much fun . Specially when you fly 3D helicopters.The poeple who fly 3D helicopters are true legends in the rc hobby because not everyone si able to fly inverted just like you.

Nice flying. Your skills are absolutely improving! When the time is right you will most likely want to use your tx for "control behavior" as you will really be able to fine tune the machine to your liking along with adjusting pot's 2 and 3. The beast x when setup correctly can still throw a proper smackdown in the right hands. 🚁💨💪💯

Nice flying !!! I which I had the nerves to do this in real life with my T-rex 550L. I am also using Beastx, I am now also considering to tweak it. But honestly I feel much more at ease with my T-rex 470

So far I love the BeastX, I'm a bit nervous to tweak mine sometimes as I'm not sure what all the settings do but I want to see what it can do and so far it just keeps getting better! I would love to get a 470 someday, I've heard they are amazing!! Thanks again for watching and commenting!
Tx mode is better. For 3D I run the dual rates as high as they'll go (125%) and 25-30% expo but I'm a thumb flyer. For a more direct cyclic feel you need to increase pot 2 (direct cyclic feed forward) and run the gain as high as it will go without too much shaking when you 'flick' the cyclic stick in a hover. Make sure you set exactly 6 degrees when teaching the cyclic pitch geometry. Make sure you set MAXIMUM cyclic pitch, I'm not sure what you can get on the 550 but on my 700 I could get around 14 degrees. Increase it till you get binding then back it off a touch. Also make sure to set tail pre comp and double check it is going in the right direction! You have to set the pre comp to 'high' to be able to see the tail moving. Tail pitch slider movement (viewed from the rear) should go right then left as you move from low throttle to high throttle. Basically it needs to add right yaw at low and high stick and return back to center when at mid stick (zero pitch).
That's a lot of good info! Thank you! I've been wanting to try Tx mode so that's good to know! I set my maximum pitch to 12 degrees, I was worried about to much bogging if I went more since it's only a 6s power system but I've been very happy with it so far! Someday I would love to have a 12s 700 heli and see what 14 degrees of pitch feels like! I bet it's awesome! Thanks again for all the tips!!

On my 470L with microbeast, I use transmitter mode and a little bit of cyclic expo (like 10%) at 75% throttle curve on idle up 1. That seems to be the sweet spot for my heli, as far as maintaining rotor speed while staying responsive.

hi Wes! Your new set up with your T-rex 550 seems to work as your expected. My T-rex 470 LM is done but I still can't fly. I've been fighting to up my Microbeast ultra pro edition for Two weeks now. I even bought BEASTX USB2SYS interface but I can't set up so far. I've already spent hours and hours . May be I will spend months...
Hi Franck! Yes my Trex 550 is making me very happy! Very sad news about your 470! I haven't tried the ultra pro edition, I'm just running stock BeastX plus so I don't know how to help you out that well. The only thing I would have suggested, you have already done and that's get the interface cable. Does it initialize and try to go but the setting are hard to get or is the new firmware not downloading or is there no communication at all or something else completely? I wish you the best of luck my friend and I sure hope you don't spend months fighting it. 👍
Ditch the BeastX and Get an IKon2. Its way more intuitive.
It ain’t that bad. I have tried both and i know the ikon will give it a nap, but it’s pretty good and it comes with super combo too
I keep hearing about the Ikon. I've never tried one yet and I really do want to get one someday and try it out but for now I want to fully get to know and understand this BeastX first so I can compare the two later. @@kingfamilyrc5376 i have a friend of mine the uses the beastx on his goblin 700 havok. He really understands it and loves it. I know it’s not the best out their and do not have all these advanced things, but honestly you won’t even need these stuff. And also for the price of the ikon you can get the omp m1 evo and make it like a little trainer, that thing really rips and is very light. Good luck on your future flights

Why aren't you using StudioX?? That is the pc software abd or app for your phone to do the setups. Ditch that setup sheet dude, make a new video with StudioX. Nice flying though 👌
