The flattie is So Sweet!! Glad the seat worked out. It looks Awesome!! I'd never get tired of staring at that Shovel either. I sit in the garage and stare at my Shovel all the time. My Shovel Keihin butterfly float gets stuck once in a while. I rebuild it last winter. If the tank is near full and I don't shut the valve off it pukes gas all over. Sometimes I tap the bowl and it stops. Mostly it will stop when running. I guess the shaking frees it up. Rhe S&S didnt do this. But i like the originality of the Keihin. Kind of the charm of these old girls.
I've used a repro plunger on my 1971 shovel, i replace the springs with machine Die punch springs , they come in various load rates, its a lot better and doesn't bottom out

Hi Slik, those are the best saddles ever, but you can put other heavier springs in them for the heavier work, I myself am 100kg+ and for me they are perfect. even without the spring on the outside. greetings from Belgium
Lucky your Panhead started with just over 11vlt and could get home. The 8ball stick is cool on your flathead 😎. Geez those seat springs looked horrible to get off. Yeah the pogo seat and pole looks great. Suits the bike and bounces well. Great job making the bushing. The complete bike looks awesome and cool pipes too. Your two panheads look great. Hope you get the generator problem sorted out soon ok your bike.

Replaced brushes at same time, couldn't find correct size so had to 'massage' nearest fit. had a charging problem a couple of weeks back, turned out it was a brokrn connection to the generator hidden by heat shrink sleeve. CE generator does NOT need to be sparked to polorize.

A small lathe is all the average guy needs. So handy for bushing and spacers etc. That pogo will sure soften up the ride for you! All the best Slick.
