This is old but the potential of a redstone block that requires a block to be facing a certain direction, and adjacent to the block on a certain face definitely has it's uses somewhere.

If you wanna see the command blocks in inventory tab I think you can get show admin blocks tab on eith a mod idk but there you can search alot of blocks except for some like fire blocks etc.

This would convince me to remove QC. Basically a redstone dust block that you choose how it connects. Send a connection up, down, forwards across an entire wall, pass under a dust line, turn a corner next to a piston. The uses of QC would be cut to a fifth.
Also, no need for tile entities, use tags like fences: [connection=[north,up,west]]

The funny thing about the USB Charging Block is that all the features had unique functionality that hadn't been seen outside of mods previously except it which literally just functioned as a redstone block.

two ways you could make this even better:
1. it only works if you have the usb facing the right way (i.e. you're facing the same direction when you place both the usb block and the piston)
2. when you connect something it makes the windows 10 peripheral sound
This actually gave me an idea. Imagine a redstone block, like this one, but it could store power, so that even if you remove it, the component conected to it remains powered for a shortwhile

I was waiting for a sticky piston to be used to push the usb block into a second piston. It just seems cursed enough in my head is all.
You should add a usb to usb cable. It would work like a lead, it would break at far distances, or unplug.
