Half of the wardrobe must belong to Avasarala, she's always in a different set and always looks super awesome.

I can't believe you got a chance to do this interview, the costumes are amazing and I love how she talk about the politics of the show and backgrounds influencing the customers as well.
I love how is futuristic, but realistic as well, it makes it more believable

Are we gonna talk about the Chrisjen/Bobbie fan art right in the heart of Chrisjen's character board? That's a super romantic piece of artwork guys!

Waiting for a couture house (or Amazon) to put out a whole bunch of Avasarala inspired clothing and accessories.

Many of the clothes come right out of actor Shohreh Aghdashloo's own closet. :)

i love-hate how this show is just such a straight up 10/10 in every single aspect & front that SO many people just gloss over the amazing details and work put into each of those parts!
the clothing always stood out to me as "just another example" of 10/10 work.
every single outfit just felt like a real outfit that character would have worn that day of their own choice.

This is pretty freaking cool. I'm not really into heavily sci-fi tv shows (prefer sci-fi movies), but this sounds interesting. Love the subtle jab towards Game of Thrones with their dark lighting.

You should watch it! It's done for Sci Fi what (the early seasons of) Game of Thrones did for fantasy, made it grounded, political and character driven, with a huge, movie-like budget

200 or 300 years in the future? I’ve been reading so much on the background universe but I keep hearing it’s 23rd or 24th century. What’s the consensus? Or rather what do James SA Corey say?

The lit inside of helmets really is a massive breach of realism but a necessary concession to photography since otherwise the actor’s faces would be hardly visible in the usually low-light environments...
I understand why but I cannot help but hate this breach of immersion since that lighting usually is reflected inside the helmet and would thus blind and hinder the wearer. It’s unnecessary and on top of that it’s a hindrance to the wearer.
And one does not need to see actor’s faces for them to act well. Hugo Weaving did a stellar job in V for Vendetta behind a mask. I’ll happily admit that not everyone has such amazing acting skills but still. Directors and actors can easily overcome the mask by good acting and clever direction without having to force the costume designers and prop makers to make those silly rubbish insight lit helmets and thus ultimately provide better immersion that way by incorporating attention to detail and realism.
BUT that’s just me and I reckon people who appreciate intelligent and realistic design in sci-fi is not exactly a large group anyways...
