@@jaymatthews9324 no problem. The main reason for me is it’s a custom seal. Fiberglass is not perfect so even after grinding plus the inside gel coat it’s never perfect. So with silicone it’s the best option. Plus it fills in all the little places that a rubber gasket can’t. Btw I use boss 801 silicone now. It’s a better product. Are looking get into the business?
@jonport_ Thanks for the response. Yeah, I started out as a pool cleaner at my Dad's company about 12 years ago, and I've been doing pool and spa repairs for the past 5 years. I'm definitely considering it.
@ right on man. I have a mentor program where I work with guys one on one and help them jumpstart their business and career in pool construction if thats something you’re interested in I’d love to get on the phone with you and talk about how I can help.
@@jonport_ sorry. What I meant to say. Is the pipe from the pump 2”? And when the tee is installed for the supply heads was it a 2” tee with a 1.5” top @ the 21.24 minute mark those are the tee’s I am asking about Sorry if that doesn’t make sense kind of hard to explain.
Why wouldn't you use a gasket instead of silicone? I'm still trying to learn as much as I can, thanks.

Is there a reason you don’t use flex pipe instead of the rigid pvc piping?
@@Redramdan yes. The durability he’s not as good as schedule 40 PVC and the connections when you put fittings on aren’t as good in my opinion.
@@jonport_ok makes sense. Also have you found a difference using primer before gluing vs skipping primer and just using glue only?
@danwright5145 no lol. I’d never risk it. Always use primer. Clear btw
Do you have any videos showing how you do cantilevered coping for decking?
A paver coping or concrete?
@@jonport_ concrete, i was always curious how you pour it.
No exactly but here’s a video of us pouring concrete. We uses a reusable form ua-cam.com/video/1czox23XRMo/v-deo.html
Was it 2" pvc for drain and return but 2" tee with 1.5" for the heads?
What do you mean by heads? The returns?

Yes your correct on both. Those return fitting are 1 1/2 so we have to use a 2in T with a 1 1/2 reducer fitting
@@jonport_ Thanks for the info and great video. I feel much better in doing this install.
@@litemupkustomz anytime Boss I’m glad it helped
why not drill from the outside and keep all the fiberglass dust out of the pool? could drill pilot hole from inside then hand off to outside guy
Keeps from chipping.
Great videos. Your making really think about how I want to do my new patio around pool. I sent you a message on Facebook by the way
Got it.
