    Thanks for this video. I was only a few weeks old when my family moved to the Island. I spent a lot of time at the Swallowtail lighthouse. The lighthouse keepers at the time (early 60's) were family friends. All the locations you visited remain quite vivid in my memory. I really appreciated the trip back home. Thanks again.

Lots to see and we have the best seafood here. There are a number of accommodations here. Then travel to Campobello and explore there as well. Gonna call BS on this...life-long summer visitor here from NY State whose family owns property on the island. If it was during the summer and both ferries were running, the North Head to Blacks Harbour departures were 7:30AM, 9:30, 11:30, 1:30PM, 3:30, 5:30, and 7:00, except for Sundays when there was no 9:30. If it wasn't summer season and only one ferry running, it would be 7:30, 11:30, 3:30 and sometimes 7:00. The only time there would be fewer trips is if the weather was extreme or the ferry was experiencing mechanical problems (which admittedly happened a few times in those early-2000s summers). But there was never a time between 2000-2015 (2015 was most recent time I visited) when fewer trips than listed above were at least listed on the schedule.

    Which provinces are you both from? I think you mentioned in a past video that one of you was from Ontario? I'm from Toronto, and went to school for a while in Fredericton. I miss the East Coast. Although I find the West Coast beautiful, the East Coast stole my heart.

    The thing i don't understand about both coasts is ..why does the seafood cost more there than in the middle of the country ? In other countries usually the seafood is cheaper closer to the source ..I can't figure that out in CANADA.

    • @samuelandaudrey
      @samuelandaudrey  4 роки тому +1

      If you buy it directly from the source it can be really cheap. The issue is when it has exchanged hands several times. We found this out when buying those lobsters for dinner.

      @@samuelandaudrey Yes i can see that ..to much MARKUP by the vendors ...I guess it boils down to Canada does not have a larger population ..not enough customers.
