That’s what several friends have said is their experience. There were 20 cases the day I went, and 300 people in the room, so the odds were high that each would at least get to the interview for eligibility “voir dire.” It was really interesting! For the most part, my initial dread was overruled 🤓
Jury duty is one of those things we do as good citizens but it's not fun! It's definitely hard to focus in that kind of situation. So many distractions around!
Yes! It was a novel experience, and I was honored to be selected. But there are definite airport vibes, so I can understand why so many people would rather not.
Hamnet wasn't really for me. Maybe I should not have listen to it as an audiobook. I didn't finish book 2 in mistborn.. But I hope you find these books better if you get to them at some point 😀😀
Hmm, I’ll have to give that a try if I’m finding Hamnet tiresome 😁 thanks for the tip! I’ve been sitting on page 25 of book 2 in Mistborn for about 3 weeks, but I picked it up today and read through the end of Part 1. Gotta say the short chapters are smaaaart. I still feel a little distanced from the characters, feels like plot rules the world.
You have to go somewhere to read for an indefinite amount of time. What 3 books do you toss in your tote? 📙📘📗
This month: Kristin Lavransdatter, (my big book for the summer) Once a Queen (middle grade), and something by PG Wodehouse for comic relief. :)
@@SharonReads did KL come in one volume or several? It looks huge!
@@covergirlbooks one big volume! It will definitely last me the whole summer.
Every time I've gotten a jury summons I either wasn't chosen or the case was settled/dismissed. Here's for hoping that trend continues

I dread the day I get called jury duty.
Well you know what to do if that ever happens! I noticed the most contented-looking people in the first room of 300 were the readers 📚☺️
