The guitar WAH effect is actually the SOS Morse Code sound it means HELP. A lot of people talk SH*T about this record, because of the overdriven sound quality, I for one love it.
First video of yours I've ever come across, sir. Loved your reaction! Cyanide might be my favorite Metallica song. It definitely lends itself to driving fast, with the windows down, on a sunny summer day.
Love your reactions, and I really appreciate you showing love to Death Magnetic! Thank you for your in depth commentary and genuine enthusiasm for the music/content you react to!
Woah might be the first react to this song ever. VERY underrated album, although it’s probably because the mix on this album is very…. Off, in some places, but this song is AWESOME.
Hey man, love your analysis. This song is one of my favorites. The riffs are so catchy and that interlude plus that solo... so good. This one is really fun to play on guitar as well.
When I heard this, I remember feeling like the boys are back! Nothing against "Load" or "St. Anger," but this, THIS reminded me of the old, "Enter Sandman" Metallica.
Thanks for the reaction Dave! You are the best!!!!!!! Next you should finish up the Hardwired To Self Destruct album. I know you have a reaction to a couple of the songs off that album so. So the next Metallica song I suggest doing next is called “Halo On Fire. Trust me you’ll love it!
Personally, I would prefer Dave to finish up their 80s catalogue :D still Fight fire with fire out of RTL album and Battery, Leper Messiah and Damage. INC from MOP to go
The song structure is similar to something you might hear on the Justice album. Lots of little interconnected sections. As a musician I can say that’s one of the most difficult parts of playing metal or prog stuff like Rush or Tool, remembering all the sections/movements, how they all fit together, and getting the transitions right. The whole band has to be on point and have good nonverbal communication skills as a lot of those songs don’t follow the standard A-B, verse/chorus, setup that most pop or standard rock songs follow. Good video! 👍🏻
You should react to Hans Zimmer live in Prague. That concert includes the score from Interstellar, Pirates if the Caribbean (my personal favorite), Dark Knight, and other stuff. Incredible performance of live orchestral music.
7:05 .... That's a deeper interpretation, I feel ya. But it's just referencing a concrete headstone. Is it rain or are they tears, that stained your concrete face for years. Beautiful and powerful!
Whats good Dave. Thanks for the reaction. I know that the new metallica videos that you made have dropped for you in views. So if you want to get back to the top again, you should react to their biggest live preformances. That will get you many views and likes. Other youtubers do that and get tons of views after watching the studio versions. So for a big and a good start i suggest you to watch ”enter sandman in moscow 91” or ”disposable heroes in mexico”. You can do this!!
Dude you really should check out some of their “making” of these songs. They have videos for most of the hardwired album and of course there is an entire movie on st anger but I think you would enjoy watching some of the making of hardwired songs. You seem so in tune with the making of music.
Depends on this videos performance. My Metallica reactions haven’t been performing like they used too back when I was heavy on it. I think it’s cause I’ve done all the popular ones already, plus many other deep tracks.
@@whatitdodave actually, you havent :) as pointed in my other comment, you missed some 80s bangers which no doubt will be performing well in terms of views :) Fight fire with fire out of Ride the Lightning album and Battery, Leper Messiah, The thing that should not be and Damage, Inc from Master of Puppets album which is considered their best so you still have basically half of their best album to react to = automatic views :D love your reactions btw :)
To be real this is one of their greatest songs and everybody sleepin on it
Nah I'm sleeping to it🫠

One of my personal favorites🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸

Argee on the mixing... seems the bass got trimmed a lot. If not actual bass, then low end overall was low.
@@purplebeard1526 honestly it being a good song makes the bad mixing even more disappointing.
@@LordSpongy Well, at least its no St. Anger sound mix LOL!
Just sharing some love

Agree. I love playing the riffs from this song and many more songs from Death Magnetic album
Glad you still digging on the Death Magnetic album. IMO, a very underrated album of theirs.
This song always made me think of basically being so dead inside that you’re just waiting for the funeral and for life to just over.
The intro to the song is actually morse code, its . . . - - - . . . Which means SOS
Such a great reaction! I remember jamming to this all the time when it first came out and I was in middle school.
When I heard this, I remember feeling like the boys are back! Nothing against "Load" or "St. Anger," but this, THIS reminded me of the old, "Enter Sandman" Metallica.
This album is so underrated.
This album is just pure metal. I was so happy first time hearing it. It was like they said, we can still do the heavy stuff people.
greatness

@@rastislavbalaz3115 actually what you said is probably even better than what I suggested lol
HELL YEAH DAVE!

One of my favorite metalica songs and your reaction is almost the same as mine
U r awesome Dave. Love it bro. 🤘🤘❤️❤️

I once read this song was about abortion which gave the lyrics new life for me. Great reaction and analysis as always.
The intro and a few moments in this song are S.O.S. in Morse code

Death magnetic is a dark record...every Metallica is dark and scarry. Only fun song is fuel lololol
Judas Kiss of the same album is another killer track. This album is extremely underrated but the bad mixing contributes to the poor welcome
Check out Kirk Hammett-High plains drifter from his new solo EP
What it do Dave I love the videos my guy you should do another Metallica song reaction on your channel
Depends on this videos performance. My Metallica reactions haven’t been performing like they used too back when I was heavy on it. I think it’s cause I’ve done all the popular ones already, plus many other deep tracks.
You should do a reaction video to some kind of monster by Metallica

This song is about abortion. The whole death magnetic album is all about different ways of dying
Hey Dave Have You Ever Heard The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony Song? Or You Don’t Remember?
Don’t You Remember? Or You Haven’t Seeing It?
Other reactors just watch live performances and don't even listen to the message. It's annoying...I prefer Dave and Brad/lex
Have you checked out Alex Hefner? He has a lot of Metallica reactions and does care about the message behind their songs.
This was always and always will be the weakest song of DM imo
Which just proves how goddamn great DM is 🤟🏼
It's MOP of the 21st century
To be real this is one of their greatest songs and everybody sleepin on it
