When someone made a video out of the AC3 version of this song is when I first realized that people really liked the songs and that maybe I would continue singing them.

I don't know other games that use your music but I prefer the version of the game than this version in this video :D

The bowline knot is a mother of all knots, so they say. Because that's the first knot you must learn, as for when get accidentally overboard... so it is called a rescue knot, too (so actually you hold with one hand, bend over your torso and tie the know with another hand). On the other and bright side, you may use it for the sailing attraction called "haul the piggy" (which is when the one, who is overboard intentionally, is dragged behind the yacht; quite fun even not being drunk). So there is a shanty to make this fun more funny chanting the Haul on the Bowline, Haul! :)

I'd love to hear the out-takes. The whole thing was a blast. I feel very lucky to have participated. 2. I've been singing all kinds of folk songs (professionally) for a long time, including shanties. When the AC gig came up I started focusing on shanties more specifically, but I still sing and play all kinds of music. I did a lot of sea travel when I was a kid and I worked on boats in my early adulthood, but not sail boats, and only as a schlep. 3. I didn't sing on Odyssey. 4. I believe that in this case the song is not about the holiness knot, but the line called a holiness. One of the verses claims that you can’t unity a holiness. You also would not be hauling on a knot. a rope attaching the weather side of a square sail to a ship's bow.

Yeah, that's a great song. It was written by Gordon Lightfoot so I won't include it in this series of trad/anon shanties but eventually I will do a series of general folk songs and it may well feature there.

Haul on the bowline was the first sea shanty I have ever heard in my life when I played AC3 for the first time in 2013 I loved that shanty ever since
