Love how the camera pans to touker everytime someone mentions their manufacturing costs. He's probably thinking I can get that made in China for 3 / 4 dollars 😂😂
😂😂😂😂❤
Honestly, the prices make it seem more like a company designed to take advantage of emotionally-destroyed women than anything altruistic.
Simon Bartlett pointing and saying “the death of her sister” to win his argument was disgusting. And to not put his money where his mouth was proves it was all an ego trip.
Who’s Simon Bartlett?
Simon is Steven's twin brother that sits in when Steven is sick. They don't use his name on the show for tax reasons.@@Windows-kz4ke
the black guy next to Piper @@Windows-kz4ke
Steven's twin brother@@Windows-kz4ke
@@Windows-kz4ke Simon Bartlett is Steven Bartlett's twin brother. He stands in for Steven for a certain number of episodes for tax reasons. If you knew anything at all you'd know that, sir.
Toukker says he's been at this for 45 years, then Bartlett thinks he can counter that by saying he's been at it for 10 years? How arrogant to think his 10 years trumps Toukkers 45 years!
Bartlett is still richer than you and I?
Bartlett is much wealthier… sssooo…
Not than Touker!@@tobydstreet
how long has Mark Zuckerburg been in business? i believe less than 45 years?????? knowledge and expertise is not soley based on time (big part agree, but a lot of other areas)
Mark Zuckerburg is a thief lol. Much like majority of the billionaires. Bad example. @@mackers_855
Touker is right. There is nothing wrong in starting their brand targeting women who have suffered from cancer, but if this market is only worth £7m, that's not much. Best to expand into other sectors where women need specialist bras.
100000%.
So Bartlett argues why they're so great, even saying "What more do you want?" But then doesn't invest?
Loves himself mate.
He said the brand story was good, but that's not the only thing needed for an investment
@@Hutchyy Then he answered his own question about “what more do you want” and should have kept quiet
A luxury bra for women that have gone through cancer. A niche of a niche. And their sales reflect that. Sometimes you need to put feelings aside and really focus on the numbers
one of the biggest lessions in bulding something doesnt matter what
Thing is, Steven contradicts Touker, when Touker suggests it's not investable, but he then DOESN'T invest himself 😝
They're out to wind each other up
You've missed the point. He was simply defending the one brand approach whereas Touker wanted a broader range approach. That's all.
@@rosahacketts1668Touker really got the truth out of Steven when he suggested Steven invest then 😂 Steven was defending the concept of a niche business rather than the reality in this particular instance that it was too niche. 😂
Someone needs to tell Stephen Bartlett that real confidence is quiet. The chest beating is a real giveaway. Touker has forgotten more
about the world of retail than Stevie will ever know.
It was that Touker bloke who began the chest beating? He spoke down to him and steven spoke up for himself, instead of addressing the issue the Touker bloke went to a quasi-ad-hominem.
Mr. Bartlett was way out of order here. He should grow up fast.
So rude and cocky
Steven was completely out of order and missed Touker's point about it been a niche market. Something Sara and Debra touched on. Fashion is Touker's expertise at the end of the day.
At least put your money where your mouth is, which he hasn't done much since joining the Den.
He just likes stroking the egos of the contestants because he thinks that makes him likable for the viewers. Touker on the hand just says what he actually thinks instead of acting the nice guy like Bartlett
I can only imagine the awkwardness after the cameras went off. I get where Steven was coming from, but i always find it rude and awkward when one of the dragons speaks out of turn and undermines the one who's talking, specially if they are not interested in making an offer. Steven's intervention probably gave those women false hope for an investment, which was completely unnecessary.
Why would it be awkward? They had a disagreement, people disagree about things all the time without it being awkward afterward.
Apparently, they DONT hate each other off-camera and have had dinner with each other on several occasions.
@@TheManInBlueFlames who said they hated each other??
@@ellenkarlsson9490 its awkward because Touker was talking to the entrepreneurs not Stephen, and he was interrupted and undermined whilst making his point. Stephen could have waited his turn and make his case, without interrupting Touker, and avoid this unnecessary moment. But i guess conflict makes for great television.
Awkward only for Bartlett after making a fool of himself
The old and wise dragon VS. The young whelp
Touker isn’t wise lmao. He’s a clown who makes horrible offers and is constantly beat by the other dragons. He’s the option of last choice.
@@aalokjoshi6839£200million says Touker knows what he is talking about.
@@aalokjoshi6839 Yet, he has had more financial success than you, and has appeared on a business TV show for almost 10 years... He has people approaching him for business advice, or asking him to buy his products. What have you done in your life that can match anything like that?
@@Locutus what a moronic argument from a m0ron. I’m not comparing myself to Touker. Im talking about his offers and his clown like behavior on the show.

Waffles are a big market.
@tomperry5947 Your talking out of your balloon knot.
Steven is always rude to Touker but not anyone else… weird guy
and it's also wierd how the other dragon's sit back and let Steven Bully Toucker.
Steven would not survive a day in Shark Tank with that obnoxious behavior
He’s threatened
Touker and Bartlett frequently clash. There’s a definite underlying disrespect and resentment between them.
No there isn’t. Touker gave a speech at Oxford where he mentions that it’s all editing.
@@bubz6627LOL simpleton
Most tv is edited for effect but there was a definite clash here. Bartlett didn't even invest!
If this their altercation is editing, then that's one helluva editing!
@@emekachange2977 yes!
That fool arguing only to then say Im out at the end. Lol
Touker is totally right. Start off with aiming at the original niche, and then expand within the specialised niche to other niches that fit.
They don't look like entrepreneurs that are going to stop just because they have an up hill battle against them which they do. I wish them all the best and I genuinely hope that they succeed.
Idiotic from Stephen, gave them the false hope and never invested….
Bartlett is always in an effort to prove himself to the audience and to the other Dragons and that doesn't help the entrepreneurs there.
7000 in sales. No way. Thats like 100 units sold.
$7,600 with prices ranging $85-90 even if we take the lower end that's still under 90 sold
So Stephen did all that morality beefing with Touker only to essentially agree with him and go out. Wow
Is that Bartlett at Touker again! What has he got against the man. He is always having a dig at him.
Team Touker all the way
What does Steven really have to offer except social media ‘expertise’ (that every man and his dog has these days) and a half-decent podcast?
Let alone that all the expertise comes from his numberless assistants 😅
Touker is absolutely right. He knows what he's talking about, Bartlett is just someone who got lucky and thinks he now knows everything.
Yeah he comes across snarky and smug
All he knows is instagram and tiktok..he doesn’t own anything..myspace,bebo etc were once popular too but are old news now..i’m surprised other dragons have never brought that up that he has nothing tangible
People underestimate the impaxt of luck in life everywhere. It is prevalent in business. All the dragons were likely luckier than the average entrepeneur.
To be fair, didn't everyone get lucky and think they know everything? But you can get lucky and lose it all or you can get lucky and keep and I don't think that's something to discount
Stephen hasa point. But he just hates Touker for some reason so hits him over the head with it. It's cringe.
Trucker may not be right in his idea but Stephen should quit butting in and wait for his turn. He’s an annoying brat.
At the price point they essentially have a premium product with a small market. Not gonna do volume for an investor.
Poor Touker, he was really pi**ed off.
Steven going on about his business being worth hundreds of millions when in reality it sold for €7m 😅
Then how is he on dragons den?? Get your facts straight, he's worth 300million mind you
oooof :p lol
@@christopher7804 Steven Bartlett is not worth anywhere near 300million in dollars or pounds.
@@giddyup273300 million Zimbabwe dollars
From Metro: "While Social Chain was valued at £300 million in 2021, Steven himself has a different net worth. When he was 26 years old, Forbes magazine estimated that the entrepreneur was worth $96m (£68m). Details of his current net worth are unknown."
Oldheads Vs Youngins. It always happens. Youngins bash oldheads for being outdated, oldheads think youngins aren't capable of knowing anything
Is no-one going to mention Peter's petrified look at 0:11
I have been cackling about it since 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lol
Steven is a bully. Even before he was famous, he was known to be a bully. Comedy podcasters have been the only ones safe enough to call out his bullying antics for a while now. Whoever made the decision to bring him in and keep him have made a grave error
Steven comes across poorly, not doing his online brand any good
Bartlett has no respect for his elders
Can’t stand Bartlett tbh.
I think he thinks far more of himself that what he really is. All based on the one accidental success.
Some solid advice for the entrepreneurs this episode, this business just had a tiny market they were trying to get into. Revenue would be so low imo
this business stopped trading and is currently in liquidation...
The title sums up the whole season
everyone is always so mean to Touker idk why XD
I know what you mean. He really does get a lot of disrespect. I think he seems pretty cool and on the level. Also the clothing field is certainly his main area to.
Bartlett doesnt need to bloody voice his disagreement every time. Just say what you want to no need to direct it at Touker.
If it costs 29 why sell for 90? Sell for 50 instead
They want to make some money, so sell to a shop for 50. The shop wants to make some money, sell for 90. Each step adds 50% minimum.
Touker's face every time there is a high manufacture cost mentioned!!
What does "love rose londray" mean?
Finally an Entrepreneur i can get behind.
I’ve stopped watching DD because of Bartlett, can’t stand him… far too arrogant
Aye
I am so glad this type of video has been uploaded
I haven't watched this channel in ages because it has been so boring.
We should all have a drinking game where Bartlett absolutely praises and loves a new company we take a shot …but then doesn’t follow through and we take a shot. We’d all be smashed to smitherreens
The "happy" guy has been building the "biggest brands for the last ten years". Wiki says "founder of Thirdweb, Flight Story and Flight Story Fund". I have never heard of these brands. "Big" in his own head. After all the argument of how "big" he is, "I'm out". A waste of my 12 minutes
Charging 80-90 when they get it for 29 is crazy
i think that shows what they’re really about
Just reminded me to buy my wife an over the shoulder boulder holder bra for this Christmas
Touker is right here!
Bartlett always uses his " I've got millions of views on social media" card.
And that's always his go-to card and most overused argument/point, that he thinks he only needs.
What Bartlett seems to overlook is that, online/social media platforms can be manipulated and infiltrated by "bought" content "interactions "
Millions of views doesn't guarantee sales and customer acquisition of the same number
cool story bra.
Touker demonstrates remarkable business acumen; not only does China handle the manufacturing of the goods, but they also pay him at the cost price per item for their utilization!
I couldn't take money from this. I'd have to give my chair back into charity.
Touker pulls a face at everything! :D
Love how the young guy keeps looking and old guys are jealous
Who is he?
very poor camera work
WE DONT WANT BARTLETT ON THIS SHOW! He thinks his gods gift, he is nothing. He needs to be humbled. Please remove him and put someone better on. Bartlett is running your show
Amen to that :)
That is like $100 a bra. At best someone will buy it to feel good about themselves, which is great, but they will probably only buy THE ONE BRA to feel good and then by affordable bras the rest of the time. So it is not sustainable at that price point, especially if you have no money after going through chemo or surgery for breast cancer.
Man touck.. I have fifty guys waiting on the 📞 Stonebridge Park empty industrial estate
Maybe I don’t understand the product, but I don’t understand why their bras are better for women that have had mastectomies. If anyone knows why, please explain! I’m genuinely curious.
At the bottom line both Mr T and Mr Ste are all correct.
Touker is right though, it's not just about building a brand, if your ENTIRE market is £7 million pounds and you're only ever going to capture a sliver of that... this is a lifestyle business at best but not an investable one.
The other dude was talking out of ignorance and arrogance but certainly not from experience
10 years is less than 45 bartlett😂
Post-op bras is a charity, not a business. They are trying to achieve a public good, so they should be getting donations and not investment. I think Touker is absolutely right.
I also think Steven is absolutely right, by the way. There's nothing wrong with having a singular focus. I would just like to have a bigger focus if it were my only one. Unless, of course, we're talking about a game changer. I just don't think a charity business is one.
i know its a noble cause (breast cancer), but 3 years of product development, cleverly designed but no design protection means there's nothing new that can be protected. Most of the medical products have endorsements from medical fraternity, that is missing here. Fashion and clothes do have patented technology, that's how designers/brands make money. Barlette is a confused character, i tried finding out his consultancy brands there's none of any significance, he is nothing more than a social influencer of social media, making his money unlike REAL firms that strategize marketing brands using Education, statistical tools like stock brokers/hedge fund experts. Moreover Barlette needs to stop poking his nose and let other dragons finish, its not a social media debate Mr. Barlette.
Bartlett or what ever his name is soo rude and so arrogant. Can’t stand the guy, his only been on media just a few years and guy goes on like his shi* don’t stink. I can’t stand the young arrogant guy
Envious
you support touker because of your religion, face it
Is slightly bad to just name people who had died or has Cancer. Not just it being people who had problems.
Lol Stephen does not like Touker
Its MASTECTOMY not Masectomy.... look it up... unfortunately often missprounced....
Cant stand Steven, hope they replace him soon.
Steven Bartlett, too rich too quick, arrogant know it all, argues with Touker Suleyman then fails to invest himself
Seems like a very noble business. I wish them all the breast.
It is wierd how the other dragon's sit back and let Steven bully Toucker.
Steven would not survive a day in Shark Tank with that obnoxious behavior
the woman are talking advantage of cancer victims profit and cancer don't mix well
Does anyone ever want to do a deal with Touker? Last resort.
Lot of bait in the pitch
Steven was often more annoying than helpful in his earlier seasons.
Who's the Will Smith lookalike that had a go at Touker?
He gives me "Will Smith from Wish" vibes lol
Steven Fartlett 🤮
IMO the color scheme and its range are wrong and limited.
I enjoyed the difference of opinion between Touker and Steven. Both showed some passion.
People bashing on Steven seem to be biased, after all Steven initially just says "I disagree...", in which Touker then bragged about his 45 years of experience to justify why he's right - forgetting he's talking to Steven Bartlett - another dragon with expertise
We want a cure tho …..
Bartlet has never made an investment ever! Hes the Barbara ( shark tank) of dragons den😅. Only gives speeches
He's made several investments.
There have been clashes between Touker and Steven in the past but I think Touker took offence too quickly here.
Touker's right though, this is such a niche market.
I could see why, it's his area of expertise and was interrupted plus they guy didn't even invest
@@BenjaminGoose He is right. There is nothing wrong in starting their brand targeting women who have suffered from cancer, but if this market is only worth £7m, that's not much. Best to expand into other sectors where women need specialist bras.
That's some expensive women laundre
Emotional support..... Oh man and they say there is no difference between men and women
Um...why does it look like normal lingerie...just way nore expensive?
Apparently, they DONT hate each other off-camera and have had dinner with each other on several occasions. The stranger thing is why isn't Deborah taking issue with Touker if she's about sustainability? Sure Chinese factories produce cheaply and quickly, but she should be the first person taking issue with their environmental problems, not looking towards the ordinary Brit like it's our fault!
How often does she invest with him?..
Damn, that was so disrespectful, of Steven. I could never speak to someone like that much older and far more experience than me. Disagree is fair but he was very rude and patronising here.
The Dragons could have turned that business into something that at least makes something of a profit. I'm disappointed in their choices.
And who are you? Oh yeah another mindless gorm
I mean, they want to get more than something if they're gonna put their time and money into it

Cancer survivors - aw n/m

I love DD, but the BBC need to be boycotted.
We need FAR less stuff made for peanuts and shipped halfway round the world.
Producing on home soil would be nice nut it would also push inflation up.
Female flashers, great!. Human milk bottle I flopper stoppers. But there must be a need for them. Touker throws his dummy out of the pram when he sees any completion. He thinks he has an exclusive right, to be the only one to sell clothes, no one else. He clearly doesn't like it. I bet he had to grovel when he started. Bra vo.
Stand up when you're talking out of your @$$ so we can at least hear you clearly
