so sad that i never saw steve live before he passed, he was my favourite of the whole group. His character was in my opinion the most fun out of all of them and very genuine (like brian) and in all the old videos you just absolutely see how much he loves playing the music. Beautiful smile he had, RIP Legend
I was so blessed to have seen them live when they opened for Kiss in 79. IMO they blew Kiss off the stage. They had so much raw energy they didn't need special effects.
This was one of his last time he actually stood up to play, he had some crippling illness his 50 th Anniversary Tour he was on a chair it didn’t stop him til his death..Good For You Steve you are missed. I didn’t like the singer he thought he was Freddy Mercury he was obnoxious and took away the authenticity of the original line up NO could replace Brian Connolly!!! RIP: MICK STEVE BRIAN ❤️🙏
Brian Connolly was irreplaceable and unfortunately lived an irresponsible lifestyle. Mick's passing was certainly tragic. The original lineup had a good 10+ years, but it could have been so much more...

Steve called this combo "The Sweet Band". After Brian left, got sick and eventually passed away it could not ever have been the same and the way it was from 1971 to 1978. Still, this concert was a lot of fun and a great party.

Now we know where Iron Maiden got their bass playing style from. Steve did some amazing playing here especially at his age.
