Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame QB Troy Aikman as a rookie: 0-11 as a starter, 155 of 293 (52.9% completion percentage) for 1,749 yards, 9 TD's, 18 INT's, with a passer rating of 55.7. Another #1 overall QB that had a rough rookie season was John Elway, they benched him for Steve DeBerg at one point. Denver even spent a first round pick on Elway's would be successor Tommy Maddox in 1992. Terry Bradshaw was well on his way to becoming a bust before a Joe Flacco like playoff performance en route to the Steelers first Super Bowl win saved his career.
Bryce's celling is definitely Tua. They're both Alabama QBs with bad mechanics and previous success holding them back. The only reason Jalen is better than them is because he went to Oklahoma and learned how to play to his own strengths, not rely on a supporting cast. Bryce can legitimately be a decent top 15 Qb in this league if he plays his cards right, especially by improving his mechanics. You can see this by putting Bryce in any other system in this league, say the browns, and he'd be getting rookie of the year praise. Its not on him.

I think the best thing regarding the Chargers and Quinton Johnston is if Johnston shows any level of the bust that he was last season, he can easily be benched in favor of Jerry Rice's kid, who frankly looks like his father in some highlights. That small WR competition for the left side may be one of the most exciting things this preseason.
Kadarius Toney is a 1st round bust. He’s dangerous for both teams with the ball in his hands Mecole Hardman is not a bust. He was drafted to be a WR3 which he did great at his first 3 years. Agree on Williamson. This needs to become his year.
It’s hard to blame Bryce here knowing the situation he’s in
Idk. Baker turned the browns around immediately. Same with Trevor for the jags. Some people are just built different
@@imanoldurango8213 Trevor didn't immediately turn around the Jags. He was quite bad for one and a half seasons, and then he started to turn it around.
i remember alpha 😭, reading comics in your local library comes in handy
Sean Payton only took Zach to potentially show the Jets and Nathaniel Hacket they wasted him.
You said the same thing about Love earlier in 2023 when talking about Bryce, so you never know what can happen.
If I was the Panthers, I would of traded for Jameson Williams! They probably could get him for nothing, and I think it would give both Bryce and Jameson a security blanket that could be magical!
I like how every Jamieson clip u show the ball was under thrown
Bro, your kid is already grown! That's awesome! She'll be hating Russell Wilson in no time.😂
I think the best thing regarding the Chargers and Quinton Johnston is if Johnston shows any level of the bust that he was last season, he can easily be benched in favor of Jerry Rice's kid, who frankly looks like his father in some highlights. That small WR competition for the left side may be one of the most exciting things this preseason.
Jerry’s son slow n cannot separate
Thanks for dropping we needed it lol
Kadarius Toney is a 1st round bust. He’s dangerous for both teams with the ball in his hands
Mecole Hardman is not a bust. He was drafted to be a WR3 which he did great at his first 3 years. Having between 550-700 yards each year. Year 4 he was on pace for career highs until when he got hurt a game after scoring 3 TD’s.
Skyy Moore won’t come close to breaking out. It’s almost mean to mention him at this point
I'm excited for the Perna flip flop on Zach Wilson when he plays well :)
Thanks for the love for us poor Panthers' fans
That best commercial was something else. I actually watched it
I respect your love of your broncos but only time I actually enjoy the broncos is South Park references 🤣 let’s go bears
I now have 3 Bears (mattresses) in my house, which technically makes my daughter Goldilocks. Classic Perna!
I'm surprised Bengals Dax Hill didn't get put on this list. Hoping his change from safety to cornerback improves things for him though.
That Carly Rae Jepson bit had me dying lmao
Good video Perna but the hour long rant at the end on why Bo Nix never busts and he’s the QB of the future was kinda random.
I dont like to hate on rookie qb's but zach wilson, and bo nix is looking alot like the drew locke and paxton lynch qb rooms 💀
11:35 this is hilarious
Actually the pass to dj chark is actually why mid season he worked extra hard to get stable chemistry
Bryce young will be out of the league in 2 seasons
Sam Darnold really reminds me of Brad Johnson. On the field it looks like its him to me. Similar skill set , similar career path. Lots of potential , he will bounce around , may slide onto a Super Bowl-winner lol. Overall , a decent career.
18:00 they literally combined for the most sacks of any edge duo
right on right on
JJ is not holding out that was a BS claim
im hopeful QJ will have a bounce back year, we knew he had a lot to work on when he was drafted. i think Mike Williams going down early in the season put higher expectations on him than he was ready for, also the coaching staff did a poor job of utilizing his skill set. boltup ⚡
In lions land, the running joke is Jamo drops or scores touchdowns, no in between. I hope he has a breakout season upcoming. Also, there HAD to have been some under the table deal with the Jags to let Detroit get Hutch. Incomprehensible they didn't take him
I just feel bad for Bryce Young, he couldn't have landed in a worse situation to develop and learn the NFL.
David Carr
Bryce Young will be out of the league in 2-3 years.
Bo Nix is way better than BY
Thanks for showing that sb clip perna very necessary- heartbroken niners fan
Speaking of Comic Book Legacy… Comicstorian died 💔
Let’s get this clear perna, I’m a broncos fan from Wisconsin and have been since I can remember. But I will tell you that Travon walker is NOT a bust. This year he put up good numbers and is still developing.
First saw you on Cole's HBTC channel. Your humor and hatred of the Chiefs is so hilarious to me! You do great videos... Go Chiefs!!!
My issue with jamo is, he waits for the ball to come to him, he doesnt go and grab it. He expects his speed to get him there.
