Placing Super Bowls above anything when ranking their performance over 24 years feels like a bad way to weigh a team's overall performance. It really should just be a deciding factor between teams that are close in performance. In no reality should the Giants be above the Packers just because they have more rings. The Giants have been incredibly inconsistent and have had losing seasons in 12 of their 24 seasons comparedto the Packers 5. The Giants shoulds be in C with teams that are equally inconsistent like the Vikings and Falcons, with the Super Bowls only putting them a little above them and not bumping them to high-B.
The Giants defeated the GOAT's Patriots twice in the SB, one of those victories against an undefeated team. That's way more valuable than all the Packers' NFC North championships together. And of course more valuable than a single SB ring with a first-ballot HOF QB.

@@jeffreymanier0 It's the most important at the end, but it doesn't mean the best performance, nor does it mean that the team that won made the best performance or was even the best team that season. People seem to forget that in 28-3, the Patriots looked terrible for the first half (hell, Brady through an 82-yard pick-six and their 3 points came at the very end of the half.). They won that game not because they were the better team, but because they got lucky and the Falcons collapsed in upon themselves. When it comes to the seasons that they beat the Patriots, neither of them were they the best team that season even in their own conference, nor were they the best team in the Super Bowl. Both of them they only managed to win by scoring with less than a minute left. If this was talking about best performance under pressure, we'd be talking a different story. But that isn't what we're talking about. We're talking about overall performances, and overall performances need to treat the Super Bowl as another game that is just under higher pressure, and if a team only performs well under higher pressure and is average through the rest of the season (as both Giants teams were with 10-6 and 9-7 records, respectively), then they weren't actually especially good teams.
ok so packers are 3rd in wins, 2nd in division titles, 5th in playoff wins, and only 6 teams have more super bowl wins since 2000, and the most league mvps, and somehow are 9th best?
Hard to call this a performance evaluation when all you evaluated really was super bowl wins. Sure for casuals who only pay attention to their team when they are good this might fly but for the diehards the lows are always worse than the highs are high
Want a B tier team? Just have 2 good years out of 24. Congrats, Giants. Outside those 2 years, meet the F group. P.s.: who else thought that KTO would've said the browns superbowl winner the second he said "bias aside"?
If it's so easy why can't your team do it? Giants have only been shi pretty much since Coughlin left other than that they were consistently competing for division championship in a division that was so competitive it didn't have a repeat champion throughout 2000- today
@@nathangifford1424 Because there's just as much, if not more, luck to get to the super bowl as winning it? It's one game among many, even if it's on the biggest stage. Weird shit happens and teams that performed better sometimes lose. Teams that should been in the super bowl fail to make it for weird reasons out of their control (such as the no-call on the Rams that prevented the Saints from facing the Pats in the Super Bowl). Just because you make it or even win the Super Bowl doesn't actually make you the best team. It just made you the luckier team on that day.
There's definitely too much weight on super bowl wins. Largely mediocre teams with fluke sb runs should not be above consistently good teams with less rings.
I think The Dolphins, Commanders and Raiders belong in D tier, or the Lions Jags and Browns need a tier of their own below F tier. While they've been consistently mediocre, they haven't been a consistent laughing stock like those three were decades straight.
Man, the Raiders had an on-field prayer rally when they broke this huge losing streak against K.C. I remember Carr kneeling in a prayer circle. Yeah, they belong down there.
No you weren’t, you cheated your way to your first Super Bowl. Don’t get me wrong I love Drew Brees, Sean Payton, and Reggie Bush, but your Super Bowl has an asterisk next to it because your scumbag defensive coordinator/staff and middle linebacker paying the other players to injure offenses AND the players who still did it. P.I. Was karma 🤷♂️ and so was Minneapolis Miracle ;)
The 2000s colts were the most underachieving team ever. One Super Bowl win against a pretty bad bears team. The amount of hall of famers on that team is crazy.
I’d argue the Colts are the most underachieving team in the history of all sports. They’ve had Johnny Unitas, Bert Jones, Peyton Manning, and Andrew Luck, yet they only have 2 super bowl rings to show for it.
The 70s Vikings take that title by a long shot, 5 of the most impactful players of all time on one team and they don't win a single ring and are blownout in every Super Bowl they make.
I can't help but think that the people complaining about the Bucs being so high are fans of teams that were once good but haven't won anything in their lifetime. Like the Cowboys, 49ers, who are constantly "good"but don't have the championships to show for it, and the fans are too old to remember the feeling, or too young to havhe experienced their prior success but just "know"they should be ranked higher cuz of their storied history. They forget just how incredible winning a SB actually feels. I LOVE the Bucs' history. I'm old enough to remember the creamsicle days, an adult when we won our first and to experience the drought again, only made this current ressurgance even better. Would better season-to-season records have been more fun to fill the gaps, sure? But Iwouldn't trade that for 2 rings. And the Bucs are currently still riding their 2nd "golden era" who knows what the rest of the 2020s look like, they could be considered one of the top teams of the decade by the end of it. Or not, but still, to say the Bucs aren't B tier is ridiculous. All Bucs fans will tell you it's been a great ride, even with the down years.

You are the best & the coolest, KTO. You have soo many interesting videos! I'm a big, longtime fan of yours! Cheers! It was a great, entertaining tier list! 📈📊📜
The Broncos were mediocre before Peyton arrived. They had only two playoff wins since their previous Super Bowl win in 1998. They struggled to develop a quarterback when Elway retired. And Peyton gave them a nice four year run. Denver is a C+/B- team at best.
The Jets beating the F tier allegations is the biggest win in my lifetime as a Jets fan. I do wish you used our New Logo (Urinating Tree released a video today as well and he also used the old one)
As a Dolphins fan, I agree with us in F tier, but I dont get putting the Chargers all the way up in C tier. That's crazy to me. They deserve D tier with the Bills
No, I think low C is accurate. They’ve been fairly consistent in the regular season, they have the same amount of afc championship appearances as the bills, and they have many more playoff appearances than all of the teams in D tier since 2000. Saying the bills are better than the chargers since 2000 is recency bias. The 17 year playoff drought can’t be overlooked.
I was curious how each division performed using KTO's tiers. I used a scoring system similar to GPA: S=5 A=4 B=3 C=2 D=1 F=0 Here are the totals for each division: AFC East: 7 AFC North: 10 AFC South: 6 AFC West: 9 NFC East: 8 NFC North: 6 NFC South: 10 NFC West: 9 Interesting to see the NFC South being tied for first and the NFC North being tied for last.
And he ranked Seattle below the niners, despite us being division champs 3 more times than yall were, and us winning 8 more playoff games than you. And finally us getting a ring when yall haven’t. Dude is straight trash.
Usually KTO does an incredible job. THIS though is super lazy and inconsistent. If you gave the numbers to someone who isn't an NFL fan, they still would make a better ranking. Very, very sloppy.
I think the value on rings is too high, having your team be a consistent contender is more an indicator of a well run organization than a Super Bowl is. Imo
facts, if the playoffs were a 4 game series as well as the superbowl the actual better teams and well run franchises would have won more superbowls, liek the 9ers or cowboys or packers. Superbowls are how well you played on tge day which is not indicative of how good a team is.
Recency bias is strong in these comments. It’s like people forgot how bad the bills were before 2019, how bad the chiefs were before Andy Reid showed up, or that the jets weren’t completely awful until 2010.
As a Pats fan this list is perfect and I don’t see any flaws in it whatsoever. Eagles or Packers will likely win the Super Bowl but I hope the Lions finally get one
Putting the Giants so high is a joke, almost no Giants fan would even say that, they've been so mediocre outside those SB runs, this is more of a "who has the most SB list" than an actual tier list. Like seriously look at the Eagles and Giants stats side by side for example (Packers work too), the Eagle BLOW them out of the water in EVERY stat but the 1 sb. So 1 sb> literally everything else means this tier list is extremely lazy. EDIT: Wait I just got further. He beat the seahawks under the Giants, now this IS an utter joke I I can't man, what even was the point of this list, again just list the team by SB wins to start then do the other teams in actual ranking I guess.
Kinda silly how the 49ers are in a tier with 9 teams who all won championships, yet they did not win one. I think recency bias is playing a part here, because outside of a few years with Harbaugh and the most recent years with Shanahan, the 49ers have been extremely mid, much like the other teams in C who made Superbowls but didn't win or didn't make it at all. 49ers have more losing records (13) than winning/.500 records (11) since 2000. Meanwhile, the Cowboys (a tier below) have had 17 winning/.500 records since 2000, with only 7 losing records. Vikings at 14 winning/.500 seasons with 10 losing seasons. Not saying the 49ers aren't better than those teams. They've made it to more Superbowls. But, the team's overall success over the past 24 years shows how inconsistent they are.
2017 Jags were robbed by two, potentially three, of the worst calls in playoff history. Myles Jack wasn't down, calling Bouye for a PI when he hadn't committed one all year, then the horrible PI call on Church for helmet to helmet when Gronk is lowering his head into the player. That Eagles team wouldn't have had a chance against that defense, but we all know the NFL loves Brady.
Listen, I've been a tremendous Bills fan since 1989. They missed the playoffs for almost 20 straight years. They missed the playoffs the entire presidential terms of Bush and Obama. And even now they are painfully disappointing. They are as F tier as F tier gets
6:25 Fun fact: My uncle played against Jake Delhomme in high school and beat him his senior year. He also played at UL, so yeah GeauxCajuns 🤟. Both of them they only managed to win by scoring with less than a minute left.
If this was talking about best performance under pressure, we'd be talking a different story. But that isn't what we're talking about. We're talking about overall performances, and overall performances need to treat the Super Bowl as another game that is just under higher pressure, and if a team only performs well under higher pressure and is average through the rest of the season (as both Giants teams were with 10-6 and 9-7 records, respectively), then they weren't actually especially good teams.

ok so packers are 3rd in wins, 2nd in division titles, 5th in playoff wins, and only 6 teams have more super bowl wins since 2000, and the most league mvps, and somehow are 9th best?
yep. if Richard Rodgers hadn't tried to catch an onside kick with his face then they'd be ahead of the Seahawks, but alas
@ it was brandon bostick not richard rodgers but yea same concept
Hard to call this a performance evaluation when all you evaluated really was super bowl wins. Sure for casuals who only pay attention to their team when they are good this might fly but for the diehards the lows are always worse than the highs are high

I can agree to the bucs being in B tier, but not at the top. Those 18 years between super bowl victories were pretty abysmal

Since their entire existence is a butt fumble.
Yea his list and reasoning was inconsistent asf. B tier had teams with rings, and the 49ers with no playoff success is in there.
@@nathangifford1424yall are garbage, and should be D tier max. Just like the bucs
its not just 2 "good years" it was 2 super bowl victories and 3 appearances. And one of those victories is the greatest of all time.

Very confused. The Bears are in D with multiple NFC title appearance and a Super Bowl appearance meanwhile the Titans at C without either of those?

There's definitely too much weight on super bowl wins. Largely mediocre teams with fluke sb runs should not be above consistently good teams with less rings.

@@ErikCB912I agree.

As a Dolphins fan, I agree with us in F tier, but I dont get putting the Chargers all the way up in C tier. That's crazy to me. They deserve D tier with the Bills
Agree, Chargers are ranked too high.
No, I think low C is accurate. They’ve been fairly consistent in the regular season, they have the same amount of afc championship appearances as the bills, and they have many more playoff appearances than all of the teams in D tier since 2000. Saying the bills are better than the chargers since 2000 is recency bias. The 17 year playoff drought can’t be overlooked.
as a new england patriots fan i’m so glad i got to relive how i felt when we were good
I am a die-hard cowboys fan, and our ranking is painfully accurate
I was curious how each division performed using KTO's tiers. I used a scoring system similar to GPA:
S=5
A=4
B=3
C=2
D=1
F=0
Here are the totals for each division:
AFC East: 7
AFC North: 10
AFC South: 6
AFC West: 9
NFC East: 8
NFC North: 6
NFC South: 10
NFC West: 9
Interesting to see the NFC South being tied for first and the NFC North being tied for last.
Yeah outside of the packers n vikes, the nfc north is garbage.
As a 49ers fan HOW DARE YOU PUT THE 49ers IN THE END OF B TIER!!! Making it to 3 Super Bowl is no joke!
And he ranked Seattle below the niners, despite us being division champs 3 more times than yall were, and us winning 8 more playoff games than you. And finally us getting a ring when yall haven’t. Dude is straight trash.
It’d be really cool if Kyle didn’t make a mess of it when up by double digits one of these days.
Usually KTO does an incredible job. THIS though is super lazy and inconsistent. If you gave the numbers to someone who isn't an NFL fan, they still would make a better ranking. Very, very sloppy.
Based on the stats and criteria he laid out it’s consistent, what would you have done differently?
give examples bro. come on now.
KTO > You
You’re mad because your favorite team has one or no super bowls in the past 25 years. Got it
KTO with top notch quality content as usual 🫡
I think the value on rings is too high, having your team be a consistent contender is more an indicator of a well run organization than a Super Bowl is. Imo
facts, if the playoffs were a 4 game series as well as the superbowl the actual better teams and well run franchises would have won more superbowls, liek the 9ers or cowboys or packers. Superbowls are how well you played on tge day which is not indicative of how good a team is.

Imagine trying to devalue the importance of TWO SUPER BOWL VICTORIES
You’re embarrassing 😂
Dude values super bowls too much. Putting the giants and bucs ahead of the packers and Seahawks proves that
21:17 for the only part that matters.
But, the team's overall success over the past 24 years shows how inconsistent they are.
as a giants fan we and tampa are not that high unfortunately😭
Yes we are. 2 championships. Not many teams can say that. Most haven’t come close to that.
