    Hey. Can you tell me the O-Ring number for Suzuki Liana. Or are they all same? Because my Suzuki lianas Oil Filter housing looks the same like this Suzuki Swift oil filter housing.

    Does anyone know a good video to fix the oil leak from timing chain cover on the Suzuki Swift m15A ?

    Great video, unfortunately ours has an oil cooler sticking out the front of it making it a right pain in the you know where.
    Can still be done, there is a bolt on the manifold side that I got out with a ratchet spanner and smallish hands. 🙂

    Thanks for the video!
    I have the same problem with my Swift 2008, maybe you can help me with two questions:
    1. Can it be done with jack lifting the front of the car 15 inches above ground? I don’t have any access to a lift.
    2. Do i need to drain all the oil first, or it’s OK to leave the oil inside and just take out the filter and it’s housing?

      @mixedbagltd  3 роки тому +5

      Hi,
      Yep, you should be fine using the jack. And yes, just remove the filter then the housing, no need to remove the oil. Just don’t start it without the housing and filter on :)

    Great video. However, I need to know how to replace a gasket on a Suzuki SX4 2011. Is there one anywhere?

    Hey I watched this 3 times, then went to a local place that lets the public hire a hoist for $27/hr, it was very easy to do! I had a minor leak for ages until I decided to fix it. Shoulda done it earlier 🤪 Easy-peasy! One thing- ensure filter is filled with oil to avoid dry oil pump on start-up 😆

    Could this leak cause drive belt to squeek

    • @mixedbagltd
      @mixedbagltd  Рік тому +1

      Hi - not really - if it’s a high pitched squeal mainly when it’s cold and then goes away as it warms up it’s probably a loose belt that needs tightening. If it’s a squeak all the time it may me a worn belt that just needs replacing or a worn idler bearing.
      Pete.

    GREAT VIDEO! Some things I do my self and that was a great example of how you can save a bit of money
    on some ridiculous prices some mechanics charge for an hours work, My daughters suzuki Swift had exactly the same problem so what happened in my case was that the mechanic unaware that I looked at this how to do video first before I went to him to get a price. I purchased the genuine o-ring from suzuki for $15.00 and the mechanic I went to, and it was not a Suzuki dealership, well his price was $290 dollars to put it in as per this video. Not bad money for less then an hours work if you can get. If he did it the only other thing he would of had to supply was a mouthful of oil to top it up to the appropriate level. Fello's don't send your wife or daughters to some of these Gold tooth mechanics. 😆 Brian.

      Another question would you know how to check for a faulty coil pack, my suzuki swift got a little bit of a surge and rattles like a lose chain at low revs then disappears at high revs would you know?

    My daughter has the 2006 Sport model with the 1.6L engine. We can't access the three bolts without taking the exhaust and cat off. I assume different housing, certainly looks different.

    • @jakethemaster
      @jakethemaster 2 роки тому +1

      It can be done with it on its just a monumental pain. Need ratchet spanners , 1/4 and 3/8 sockets with swivels. Have to remove exhaust heat shield and move out of way. Bottom passengers side bolt to last out first in very tight but can be done.
